An effective poison bait composition is provided for the control of such objective pests as cockroaches, wherein the poison bait composition comprises (1) a pesticidally effective amount of a pesticidally active ingredient, (2) a carrageenan, and (3) glycerin. A methods of controlling objective pests is also provided, which utilizes the provided poison bait.

Poison bait compositions

A method for controlling acarina which comprises setting a tablet(s) obtainable by pressing 2-methoxycarbonyl-4-chlorotrifluoromethanesulfonanilide or by pressing a composition containing 2-methoxycarbonyl-4-chlorotrifluoromethanesulfonanilide and a vehicle(s) in a small space such as drawers, a closet, a lumber room, etc.

Method for controlling acarina

An insecticidal/acaricidal composition which comprises 2-methoxycarbonyl-4-chlorotrifluoromethanesulfonanilide and N-(2-ethylhexyl)bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboximide as an active ingredient, and inert carrier is useful for controlling insects/acarina effectively.

Insecticidal/acaricidal composition

The present invention relates to a poison bait for controlling pest insects comprising (a) an insecticidally active ingredient, (b) a sauce for seasoning or a sauce spice flavor, (c) a vegetable oil and, if necessary, (d) at least one of grain powder, dextrin and sugar. The inventive poison bait controls pest insects such as cockroaches and the like based on feeding preference.

Poison bait for controlling pest insects

There is disclosed an insect growth regulator composition comprising (a) an insect growth-regulating active ingredient and, if necessary, another insecticidal active ingredient, (b) an organic substance having a solubility of not greater than 2% in water at 20.degree. C. and a melting point of 35.degree. through 100.degree. C., and (c) a glycol selected from the group having a melting point of 35.degree. through 100.degree. C. and consisting of polyethylene glycol, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene glycol, polyoxyethylene polyoxybutylene glycol, and polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene polyoxybutylene glycol, wherein the weight of the constituent (b) is equal to or greater than 3% based on the total weight, and a sum of the weight of the constituent (b) and the weight of the constituent (c) ranges from 20 to 98% based on the total weight, the constituent (b) and the constituent (c) being molten and then cooled to be solidified in manufacturing process of the insect growth regulator composition. The composition of the invention is the labor- and cost-saving composition because it releases an active ingredient gradually, and exterminates harmful and/or offensive pests and prevent the breeding thereof in water systems over a long time.

Solid insect growth regulating compositions

Microencapsulated pyrethroidal cockroach-controlling composition is provided, which has an excellent residual effect. The composition comprises phenylxylylethane and a pyrethroidal compound and is encapsulated in microcapsules formed of a polyurethane wall which have an average particle diameter of not more than 80 .mu.m, a wall thickness of not more than 0.3 .mu.m, and a value of the average particle diameter/wall thickness of 100-400.

Microencapsulated cockroach-controlling composition

A bait composition in a tablet form, which comprises as the essential components (a) at least one insect-growth controlling agent selected from (a-1) insect juvenile hormone-like compounds and (a-2) insect chitin-synthesis inhibitors in a microencapsulated form and (b) dextrin, optionally with an additional or auxiliary agent(s).

Poison bait for control of noxious insects

A bait composition in a tablet form, which comprises as the essential components (a) at least one insect-growth controlling agent chosen from (a-1) insect juvenile hormone-like compounds and (a-2) insect chitin-synthesis inhibitors, (b) dextrin and (c) a plant oil in an amount of not more than 10% by weight to the total bait composition.

Termites are prevented by applying thereto microencapsulated organophosphorus termite controlling composition in an amount of 5-100 g as an effective ingredient. The composition comprises an organophosphorus insecticidal compound encapsulated in a microcapsule formed of a polyurea or polyurethane wall and having an average particle diameter of not more than 80 .mu.m, a wall thickness of 0.1-1 .mu.m, and a value of the average particle diameter/wall thickness of 20-400.
