A high frequency and broad band glass antenna for automobiles has a strong directivity in one direction even if the antenna is provided near to the mental portion of a body. The antenna comprises an antenna line provided near to the metal portion of a body, one end of the antenna line neighboring the metal portion being fed; and a parasitic line positioned near to the antenna line for adjusting a directivity and a frequency characteristic of reception sensitivity of the glass antenna. The parasitic line extends in parallel with the antenna line and consists of at least one straight conductor line having the length of (&#x3bb;/8)&#x3ba;. High frequency glass antenna for automobiles

A glass antenna system for vehicles to receive AM and FM bands is provided. An electrically conductive transparent film is formed on a side glass. A silver printed line have a wide width is formed around the electrically conductive transparent film. A loop-shaped silver printed line is provide surrounding the film, which is capacitively coupled to the body. In this manner, an opening is formed in a space between the silver printed line and the electrically conductive film. An electrically shorted portion is provided between the silver printed line and the electrically conductive film. A coaxial feeder for AM/FM is provided. A central conductor of the feeder is connected to the silver printed line and the outer conductor to the body.

Glass antenna system for vehicles

The invention provides a glass antenna device having a ground pattern, which has a stable antenna performance regardless of the position of a coaxial cable. The glass antenna device is mounted on a fixed window of a vehicle, and comprises an antenna including a radiation pattern and a ground pattern. The radiation pattern is connected to the inner conductor of a coaxial cable. The ground pattern is coupled capacitively with the vehicle, and further is connected to the outer conductor of the coaxial cable in at least two connecting portions.

A window glass antenna apparatus comprises two antennas exclusively for receiving respective AM and FM radio signals, a first impedance transformer disposed between the antennas and a signal cable for transforming impedance in an AM frequency band from high impedance to low impedance, and a second impedance transformer provided at an output side of the signal cable for transforming impedance in the AM frequency band from low impedance to high impedance. The first impedance transformer includes a primary winding which has one end connected to the AM radio signal receiving antenna, and a tap provided at a primary side thereof and connected to FM radio signal receiving antenna. The second impedance transformer includes a secondary winding which has one end for serving as an AM radio signal output terminal, and a tap provided at a secondary side thereof for serving as an FM radio signal output terminal.

Window glass antenna apparatus

A window glass antenna system is attached to a surface of a pane of vehicular window glass and comprises an antenna switching circuit attached directly onto the window glass pane in close proximity to antennas of the system for switching over the antennas. The antenna switching circuit has a plurality of mounting terminals and a plurality of input signal lines connected to the mounting terminals which in turn are fixedly secured to power terminals fixed to the window glass pane for powering the antennas. The thus-arranged antenna system has improved directional repeatability and reception sensitivity in that the antenna switching circuit is positioned closely to the antennas and connected to the antenna powering terminals without requiring the use of any elements that may form part of the antennas during operation thereof.

A window glass antenna device disposed on an automobile window glass panel has a dedicated antenna disposed on the automobile window glass panel, a heater antenna comprising a defroster heater pattern disposed on the automobile window glass panel, and a feeder cable for transmitting received signals from the dedicated antenna and the heater antenna. An impedance transformer for effecting an impedance conversion between the dedicated antenna and the heater antenna, and the feeder cable has a primary winding having an end connected to the dedicated antenna, the primary winding having a tap connected to the heater antenna, and a secondary winding connected to the feeder cable.

A window glass antenna for automobile telephone has a hot antenna wire mounted on a window glass panel substantially horizontally in electromagnetically coupled relation to either an upper or lower horizontal member of a metallic window frame, a ground antenna wire mounted on the window glass panel in a position displaced inwardly from the hot antenna wire toward the geometric center of the window glass panel, the ground antenna wire having an end disposed near an end or a center of the hot antenna wire.
