In a rotor in which magnet slots arranged in a V shape so as to open toward the outer circumferential side and having permanent magnets inserted therein are formed in a two-layer structure in a radial direction, the magnet slots in each layer are composed of a pair of slots formed between a center bridge located at the center and respective ones of two radially-outer bridges located between the outer surface of the rotor and the respective slots. Of magnetic fluxes generated from the permanent magnets, magnetic fluxes excluding magnetic fluxes for magnetically saturating the bridges are defined as effective magnetic fluxes. The rotor is configured such that the effective magnetic flux generated from the permanent magnet on the radially outer side is not greater than half the effective magnetic flux generated from the permanent magnet on the radially inner side.

A rotation angle detection device including: a rotor; a stator including 'b' (b&#x2265;3) magnetic detection portions (MDPs) each including a bias magnetic field generation portion and a magnetic detection element (MDE); and a rotation angle processor calculating a rotation angle of the rotor based on a detection by the (MDEs). The rotor has convex and concave portions (CCPs), which change in 'x' cycles for a mechanical angle 360 (&#x201c;x&#x201d;&#x2265;1) to make the MDEs possible to obtain a sine wave. Method for manufacturing stator for rotary electric machine

To obtain a rotating electrical machine preventing a functional failure and shortening of the life of brushes caused by a temperature rise of the brushes installed to a vehicle AC power generator or a motor generator. A brush holder holding brushes supplying a field current to a rotor is provided with brush temperature suppressing metal members installed substantially parallel to the brushes in the vicinity of abutment portions of the brushes and slip rings in point-, line-, or surface-contact with the brushes at least at one point besides energization terminals. The brush temperature suppressing metal members not only diffuse heat generated at the brushes, but also function as a heat capacity for a case where a large amount of heat is generated in a short time, such as during regenerative power generation and a start-up operation, and thereby prevent an excessive temperature rise of the brushes.

Brush structure with heat dissipation member

A rotary electric machine including a brush used to supply a field current to a field winding of a rotor, a brush holder holding the brush, a power circuit portion connected to a heat sink having fins, and a case covering the power circuit portion and the brush holder. Stator for rotary electric machine and method for manufacturing the stator

An electric rotating machine is provided that efficiently radiates heat, caused in the vicinity of a portion where a brush and a slip ring makes contact with each other, to the outside of a brush holder and that can prevent the temperature of the brush from excessively rising. The brush holder holding the brush that supplies a magnetic-field current to a magnetic-field winding by way of the slip ring is provided with an energization terminal that electrically connects a magnetic-field circuit with the brush and a brush cooling metal member that cools the brush; the brush cooling metal member radiates heat, generated in the vicinity of a contact portion between the brush and the slip ring, to the outside of the brush holder.

Electric rotating machine

A rotating electric machine includes a rotor including: a rotor core divided into blocks in an axial direction, the blocks being arranged to have a phase angle therebetween in a circumferential direction, the rotor core having magnet through holes arrayed in the circumferential direction and formed in an outer circumferential region; and permanent magnets inserted into the magnet through holes. The magnet through hole includes: a magnet insertion portion into which the permanent magnet is inserted; and a non-magnetic portion provided on an outer side of the magnet insertion portion in the circumferential direction. A bridge portion is formed between the outer circumferential surface and an outer circumferential inner wall of the non-magnetic portion. A bridge angle, which is an angle between both circumferential ends of the bridge portion with a rotation center of the rotor core set as a vertex, is larger than a skew angle.

A controller-integrated electric rotating machine according to the present invention is provided with a heat sink on which a plurality of power modules included in an electric-power conversion circuit are mounted, a power-input/output conductor that is fixed to a bus bar electrically connected with a DC power source and is electrically connected with the DC power source and the bus bar, and a case, made of an insulator, that is fixed to the heat sink and is provided with a terminal that is electrically connected with the bus bar and the plurality of power modules; the bus bar is provided with a single electric connection portion and at least one mechanical connection portion other than the electric connection portion, electrically connected with the terminal by means of the single electric connection portion, and mechanically connected with the heat sink or the bracket through an insulating material by means of the at least one mechanical connection portion.

A first cooling air passage is formed to let first cooling air generated by a cooling fan in from a radially outside of an inverter apparatus to cool a heat sink and out through exhaust holes provided on an outer peripheral side of a rear bracket by passing an inner periphery of the rear bracket. Also, a second cooling air passage is formed to let second cooling air generated by the cooling fan into a hollow portion of the inverter apparatus from an axially rear of a rotation shaft to cool a brush holder and a magnetic pole position detection sensor and out through the exhaust holes by passing the inner periphery of the rear bracket. Hence, cooling performance for the magnetic pole position detection sensor and the brush holder may be enhanced and an axial dimension may be reduced.

Controller-integrated rotating electrical machine

An object of the present invention is to provide an electrical rotating machine that prevents heat generated from a stator winding from being transmitted to an inverter circuit. A rotor having a field winding, and a stator having a stator winding arranged so as to surround the rotor are provided. One end of a rear bracket is connected to the stator, and arranged inside the rear bracket is a heat sink assembly including a heat sink having switching elements for controlling the field winding and the stator winding mounted thereto. The heat sink assembly is fixed to protruding portions protruding from an end surface of the rear bracket.

Electrical rotating machine with improved heat sink cooling

An object of the present invention is to provide an electrical rotating machine capable of securing safety against collision. Included are a rotor having a field winding and cooling fans, and a stator having a stator winding, arranged so as to surround the rotor. A bracketis fixed to a load side end of the stator, and a heat sink is disposed inside the bracket. On the anti-load side of the heat sink, a field circuit unit and power circuit units for controlling the field winding and the stator winding, respectively, are mounted, whereas on the load side thereof, cooling fins are disposed. The anti-load side and lateral side of the field circuit unit and the power circuit units are surrounded by the bracket. Accordingly, a whole of the field circuit unit and the power circuit units is surrounded by the bracket and the heat sink.
