A pulse wave analyzing apparatus that detects a pulse wave from a living body and computes a waveform distortion factor and determines a waveform shape for performing a diagnosis of a condition of the living body.

The present invention relates to a device for diagnosing physiological state based on blood pulse waves detected in the body. It is the objective of the present invention to provide a device which correctly diagnoses the current physiological state based on changes in physiological state measured over a specified period of time in the past while taking into consideration the cyclical variation exhibited in physiological state. In order to realize this objective, the device according to the present invention has as its main components: blood pulse wave detectorand stroke-volume-per-beat measurerwhich respectively detect blood pulse wave and stroke volume in the body; blood pulse wave extraction memorywhich extracts characteristic information from the detected blood pulse wave; memoryin which the physiological state calculated from the stroke volume and this characteristic information is stored; output portionwhich outputs an alarm; and microcomputerwhich controls each part inside the device. The microcomputer calculates the circulatory parameters based on characteristic information obtained from the waveform extraction memory, and stores the parameters in memory at specified time intervals. At these times, microcomputercalculates the circulatory parameters from the stroke volume per beat and the characteristic information of the blood pulse wave at specified time intervals, and stores the parameters in memory. Further, microcomputerreads out from memorythe circulatory parameters from a specified time interval in the past, and calculates the average value and standard deviation. Microcomputerthen determines whether or not the current circulatory parameters are within a specified range determined by their average value and standard deviation. When the circulatory parameters are determined to be outside this range, microcomputercontrols output portionto sound an alarm.

Device for diagnosing physiological state and device for controlling the same

The present invention relates to a diagnosis apparatus for analyzing arterial pulse waves comprising a database in which is stored data showing the relationship between data representing a pulse wave of a living body and teaching data representing conditions of the living body; and a micro-computer for outputting teaching data corresponding to the pulse wave detected from the living body in the teaching data on the basis of the pulse wave detected from the living body and the stored data inside database . As a result, it becomes possible to perform diagnoses equivalent to a skilled doctor.

Pulse wave diagnosing device

An optical type pulse wave detection section 1 detects the pulse waveform MH above the skin while moving in the circumferential direction of the arm, when a manual position change mechanism is operated. Capillary vessels and arterioles surrounding a radial artery are formed inside the skin, and pulsation of the capillary vessels and arterioles are opposite in polarity. When a polarity detection section outputs a polarity detection signal KS showing the polarity of the pulse waveform MH, the polarity is displayed on a display . Accordingly, a subject can position the pulse wave detection section above the arterioles surrounding the artery by operating the manual position change mechanism while observing the display , allowing the pulse waveform MH to be detected with an optimal SN ratio. A non-invasive device for evaluating circulatory state parameters, and specifically, a pulsewave analysis device capable of evaluation by separating blood vessel compliance and blood vessel resistance into central and peripheral components of the arterial system is provided.
