A self-suction dust collection attachment including a dust collection motor and a fan can be mechanically coupled and electrically connected to multiple types of power tools. A dust collection attachment attachable to a first power tool includes a casing, a suction portion, a dust collector that captures dust sucked through the suction portion, a fan that generates a suction force in the suction portion, a dust collection motor that rotates the fan, and an adapter attachable to at least a second power tool and detachably attachable to the casing. The adapter includes a mechanical coupler that couples the casing and the second power tool and an electrical connector that electrically connects the dust collection attachment and the second power tool when the dust collection attachment is coupled to the second power tool.

Power tool dust collection attachment and power tool

A power tool, such as a rotary hammer, includes a housing, an output shaft for mounting a tool accessary and a motor having a motor shaft that generates a rotational output for rotating and linearly hammering the output shaft. The rotational output of the motor shaft is coupled to the output shaft via a driving mechanism that includes a hammer mechanism. An intervening member is axially movable relative to the motor shaft and is operably coupled between the motor shaft and the hammer mechanism. The hammer mechanism and the output shaft are supported by a movable support that is axially movable relative to the housing. Because the output shaft and the driving mechanism are movable relative to the motor and the housing, which preferably includes handle, via the intervening member and the movable support during hammering operations, vibration generated during hammering operations can be dampened before reaching the housing.

Power tool having hammer mechanism

A power tool having a rotary hammer mechanism has a motor, a driving mechanism, a tool body that houses the motor and the driving mechanism, a handle having a grip part, and a first operation member. The driving mechanism is configured to operate by power of the motor in an action mode that is selected from a plurality of operation modes including a first mode of at least rotationally driving a tool accessory around a driving axis and a second mode of only linearly driving the tool accessory along the driving axis. The grip part extends in a direction crossing the driving axis and is configured to be held by a user. The first operation member is on the tool body and faces the grip part. The first operation member is configured to be manually operated by the user to change the action mode of the driving mechanism.

A dust collecting system includes a power tool and a dust collector. The power tool includes at least one battery-mounting part, a first motor, a driving mechanism and a body housing. The at least one battery-mounting part is each configured to removably receive a battery. The first motor is configured to operate with electric power supplied from the battery. The driving mechanism is configured to drive the tool accessory by power of the first motor. The body housing houses the first motor and the driving mechanism. The dust collecting system includes a control device configured to control operation of at least one of the power tool and the dust collector according to a state of the whole dust collecting system.

The dust collector is configured to collect dust generated by the processing operation. An electric power tool includes a motor, a driving side member, and a driven side member. The driving side member and the driven side member have mutually opposed surfaces. A plurality of cam teeth are respectively disposed on concentric circles on the opposed surfaces. The plurality of cam teeth have meshing surfaces inclined at predetermined lead angles. A torque limiter is formed to disengage the engagement of the meshing surfaces of the cam teeth by moving the one member in a separation direction from the other member when load of the driven side member increases. The respective cam teeth are formed such that the lead angles of the meshing surfaces are different between a forward rotation side and a reverse rotation side. A transmission torque transmitted from the driving side member to the driven side member is equal between the forward rotation and the reverse rotation.

Electric power tool

A hand-held impact tool includes a motor, a driving mechanism, a tool body, a main handle, a first detection part, a second detection part and a control part. The tool body is configured such that an auxiliary handle is removably attached thereto. The main handle is connected to the tool body. The first detection part is configured to detect selected one of a plurality of modes. The second detection part is configured to detect whether or not the auxiliary handle is attached to the tool body. The control part is configured to control operation of the impact tool based on detection results of the first detection part and the second detection part.

Impact tool

A dust collecting system includes a power tool and a stationary dust collector. The power tool is configured to perform processing operation on a workpiece by driving a tool accessory. The stationary dust collector is configured to be placed separately from the power tool and to collect dust generated by the processing operation. The power tool includes a first motor and a driving mechanism configured to drive the tool accessory by power of the first motor. The dust collector includes a second motor and a fan configured to be rotationally driven by the second motor to generate air flow for collecting dust. The dust collecting system includes a control device configured to control a rotation speed of the second motor according to a driving state of the power tool.

A work tool, in which any one of a plurality of operation modes is selectable and which is configured to operate according to the selected operation mode, includes a switch for driving a tool accessory, an operation member, a mode switching member and a movement restricting mechanism. The operation member is configured to be held in an off-position in a non-pressed state and configured to move to an on-position in response to an external pressing operation. The mode switching member is configured to be switched between a plurality of switching positions in response to an external operation, the switching positions respectively corresponding to the operation modes. The movement restricting mechanism is configured to restrict a movement of the operation member from the off-position to the on-position in interlock with a switching operation of the mode switching member.

Work tool

An impact tool includes a motor, a driving mechanism, and a vibration sensor. The driving mechanism is configured to perform a hammering operation of linearly driving a tool accessory along an impact-axis by power of the motor. The impact-axis extends in a front-rear direction of the impact tool. The vibration sensor is configured to detect vibrations. The vibration sensor is disposed such that the vibration sensor is capable of detecting vibrations of a first frequency among vibrations caused in the impact tool, and such that transmission of vibrations of a second frequency to the vibration sensor is suppressed. The vibrations of the first frequency result from the hammering operation. The second frequency is different from the first frequency.

A power tool contains a brushless motor that includes a stator having a stack thickness and an outer diameter, a rotor having a diameter, and a motor shaft extending from the rotor and having a rotational axis. A drive mechanism is operably coupled to the motor shaft and is configured to drive a tool accessory in relation to a drive axis. A first housing houses the motor and the drive mechanism. The drive axis does not intersect the brushless motor, but the rotational axis of the motor shaft intersects the drive axis. The outer diameter of the stator is at least five times greater than the stack thickness. Furthermore, the diameter of the rotor is greater than the stack thickness.

Power tool

A power tool, such as a rotary hammer or hammer drill, includes a first housing that contains a motor and a drive mechanism for linearly reciprocally driving a tool accessory, and a second housing that includes a handle, a first portion and a second portion. At least one elastic element connects the first and second housings such that the handle is biased away from the first housing. A first set of sliding contact surfaces is defined on or connected to the first housing and the first portion of the second housing. A second set of sliding contact surfaces is defined on or connected to the first housing and the second portion of the second housing. The first and second sets of sliding contact surfaces are located on opposite sides of the motor such that the rotational axis of the motor intersects the first and second sets of sliding contact surfaces.

A hammer drill includes a switch, an operation member, a lock member, a mode switching member and a linked member. The operation member is normally held in an OFF position and moves to an ON position in response to an external pressing operation. The lock member moves in response to an external operation between a locking position, where the lock member is capable of locking the operation member in the ON position, and a non-locking position, where the lock member is incapable of locking the operation member. The linked member moves to an allowing position for allowing a movement of the lock member when the mode switching member is switched to a switching position corresponding to a hammer mode, and moves to an inhibiting position for inhibiting the movement of the lock member when the mode switching member is switched to a switching position corresponding to a drill mode.
