An artificial joint is characterized by: having a first member including a caput part on which a prescribed curved surface is formed, and a second member including a fossa part having a surface which abuts the prescribed curved surface of the caput part; the second member being rotatable in a flexing direction of a joint with a prescribed point on the caput part being the center of rotation; and the prescribed curved surface of the caput part being defined by a curve which depicts a convex arc toward the side abutting the fossa part when the caput part is viewed from the axial direction of the rotation, and in which, when two arbitrary points are taken on the curve, the radius of curvature of the point positioned further toward the flexing side of the joint on the curve is smaller than the radius of curvature of the other point.

The present invention aims at providing a novel indocyanine compound solving problems of conventionally used indocyanine green, such as solubility in water or physiological saline, a synthesis method and a purification method thereof, and a diagnostic composition including the novel indocyanine compound. Further, provided are a method for evaluating biokinetics of the novel indocyanine compound and a device for measuring biokinetics, and a method and a device for visualizing circulation of fluid such as blood in a living body, which utilize the diagnostic composition. Also, found are a novel indocyanine compound in which a hydrophobic moiety in a near-infrared fluorescent indocyanine molecule is included in a cavity of a cyclic sugar chain cyclodextrin to cover the hydrophobic moiety in the indocyanine molecule with the glucose, and a synthesis method and a purification method thereof. Furthermore, found are a method for fluorescence-imaging an organ other than liver by intravenous administration, a method for evaluating biokinetics of the novel indocyanine compound, a device for measuring biokinetics, and a method and a device for visualizing circulation of fluid such as blood in a living body, utilizing the diagnostic composition including the novel indocyanine compound.

An external fixator for fixing bones includes a coupling member, a plurality of ball joints, each ball joint comprising a pin to be inserted into a bone, a rotary member in form of a ball, a supporting member in which a first supporting member and a first thread for supporting the ball rotatably are formed, and a tubular fastening member that contains the ball and that has openings at the opposite ends, the tubular fastening member is provided at one end with a second thread corresponding to the first thread. The tubular fastening member is provided at the other end with a second supporting portion for pushing the ball against the first supporting portion when the second screw is driven into the first thread, wherein the pins and the coupling member are fixed to the supporting member and the rotary member.
