A clearance narrowing material containing a brush-shaped polymer chain aggregate formed of multiple polymer chains immobilized on a substrate. The invention provides a clearance narrowing material which can effectively prevent fluid leakage through a clearance and which does not disturb relative movement of members to form a clearance, and can realize an article in which fluid leakage through a clearance can be effectively prevented and the members to form a clearance can move smoothly.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an X-ray CT scanner including: a gantry; a revolving body provided inside the gantry; an X-ray tube assembly provided in the revolving body; a heat radiator provided inside the revolving body so as to be connected to the X-ray tube assembly; a heat storage material provided in the heat radiator and capable of accumulating a heat generated by the X-ray tube assembly; and an X-ray detector provided inside the revolving body so as to oppose the X-ray tube assembly.

X-ray CT scanner

A rotary anode X-ray tube apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a stationary shaft, a cooling bath that is provided in the stationary shaft, a rotary cylinder that is rotatably supported to the stationary shaft, a target that is provided in the rotary cylinder, a cathode that is disposed to face the target, and a vacuum enclosure that stores these components. The stationary shaft has a large-diameter portion provided in a portion thereof and is provided with a flow passage through which a cooling fluid flows. The cooling bath is provided by thinning the wall thickness of the large-diameter portion to increase the flow passage diameter of a portion of the flow passage. The rotary cylinder covers an area of the stationary shaft including the large-diameter portion through a liquid metal and is rotatably supported to the stationary shaft. The target has a hollow circular plate shape that is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the rotary cylinder. The vacuum enclosure stores the stationary shaft, the rotary cylinder, the target, and the cathode and supports the stationary shaft.

Rotary anode X-ray tube

In a medical X-ray CT apparatus, a rotary portion is rotated, and a wind is produced inside the apparatus by the rotation of the rotary portion. An expanded cover portion is forced to vibrate by the wind, and noise is produced. The expanded cover portion is provided with at least one curved member including both ends. The curved member is arranged to extend along a virtual projection line obtained by geometrically projecting a virtual straight line connecting, to each other, the two ends fixed to an outer peripheral edge of an opening of the expanded cover portion onto a surface of the expanded cover portion, and the vibration of the expanded cover portion is reduced.

Medical X-ray CT apparatus

Fins are arranged on the rotating side of an X-ray computed tomography apparatus. The fins are rotated to generate airflow as the rotating side is rotated. This airflow serves to discharge wear debris to the outside of the X-ray CT apparatus, thereby preventing the wear debris from scattering toward an X-ray tube and support bearing. In consequence, in the X-ray CT apparatus provided with a slip ring, the wear debris produced in a contact space between the slip ring and a brush can be prevented from being scattered in the apparatus.

X-ray tomography apparatus

A rotor is rotatably supported in a gantry housing having a substantially sealed structure. An X-ray tube is provided in the rotor. A cooler is provided in the rotor and cools a refrigerant within the X-ray tube. An X-ray detector is provided in the rotor. A reconstruction unit reconstructs an image on the basis of an output of the X-ray detector. A radiator is fixed inside the gantry housing at a position opposite to an exhaust opening of the cooler when the rotor is stationary.

X-ray computed tomographic apparatus

In an X-ray tube, a rotary anode formed into a hollow disk-like shape is fixedly supported by a rotating body formed into a hollow cylindrical shape. A fixed shaft has fixed ends, columnar bearing portions and a disk part, and a flow path of a cooling medium formed along a central axis thereof. The bearing portions are inserted into the rotating body with a first gap between the columnar bearing portion and the rotating body, so that the rotating body is rotatably supported. The disk part is arranged in the rotary anode with a second gap between the disk part and the rotary anode. The first and second gaps are filled with a lubricant, bearing grooves are formed in the bearing portion, thereby forming dynamic pressure bearings, and a center of gravity of the rotary anode is arranged between the first and second dynamic pressure bearings.

In a rotary anode X-ray tube, a disc portion is fitted into a rotary anode with a first gap therebetween and a fixed shaft is fitted into a rotary shaft to support the anode with a second gap therebetween. The disc portion and the fixed shaft are formed integral with each other to have a hollow portion therein. A cooling liquid is allowed to flow through the hollow portion. A liquid metal is filled in the first and second gaps. Dynamic pressure type bearings is formed in the second gap. A passage is formed to directly communicate the first gap to the second gap, whereby the liquid metal being directly supplied from the second gap to the first gap. Thus, the liquid metal can be fed rapidly and surely into the gap between the anode target and a cooling vessel.

A rotating anode X-ray tube includes a fixed body having a radial sliding bearing surface and a channel therein through which a coolant flows, a rotor including a discoid large-diameter portion, which has a recess fitted with one end portion of the fixed body with a clearance therebetween and constitutes an anode target, and a small-diameter portion, which has on an inner surface thereof a radial sliding bearing surface which faces the aforesaid radial sliding bearing surface with a clearance, and is united with the large-diameter portion at one end portion thereof, a lubricant filling the clearances, a cathode arranged opposite to the anode target, and a vacuum envelope which contains the fixed body, the rotor, the lubricant and the cathode, and fixes the fixed body at another end portion of the fixed body situated opposite the one end portion of the fixed body fitted in the recess.

Rotating anode X-ray tube

In a rotary anode type X-ray tube, a rotary anode and a rotary structure supporting the anode are arranged within the vacuum envelope. A stationary shaft has a middle section which is fitted into a cylindrical portion of the rotary structure, and a dynamic pressure type radial bearing is arranged between the cylindrical portion and the middle section. The stationary shaft also has a first section between one end of the middle section and one end of the stationary shaft, and a second section between the other end of the middle section and the other end of the stationary shaft, which are fixed to the vacuum envelope. A transverse stiffness of the second section is set to be larger than a transverse stiffness of the first section, and a center of gravity is positioned in the middle section.

Rotary anode type X-ray tube

A gas expansion engine in a refrigerating cycle is disclosed and, in particular, a gas expansion engine is provided which includes a cylinder and piston to define a variable-capacity expansion chamber therebetween. The piston is reciprocably inserted into the cylinder and is coupled to a motion conversion mechanism through a piston rod. One ball-and-socket joint is provided at at least one of a location between the piston rod and the piston and a location between the piston rod and the motion conversion mechanism. A ball-and-socket joint comprises a first member having a spherical convex surface section, a second member having a spherically concave surface section fitted into the spherically convex surface section of the first member and providing a joint boundary area with the first member, a slide mechanism for slidably moving the first member or second member in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the piston in accordance with an outer force, and an elastic member for providing a pressure contact force on an area between the spherically convex surface section and the spherically concave surface section.

Gas expansion engine

A piston is eccentrically arranged in a cylinder along its axial direction and can be rotated relative to the cylinder. Part of the piston is in contact with the cylinder's inner surface. First and second helical grooves are formed in the piston's outer surface and separated at its central portion, the pitches of the grooves being gradually increased from both end portions to the center portion of the piston. First and second blades are inserted in first and second grooves so as to be moved in and out of the grooves with the outer edges of the blades contacting the inner surface. The blades partition a space between the cylinder and the piston into a plurality of operation chambers with volumes corresponding to the gradual pitch increases.
