A display device is a display devicethat includes a display unit main body that displays a video, two struts each of which has one end installed in the display unit main body, and a base on which both of the other ends of the two struts are installed, and includes a reversed installation prevention unit that prevents the two struts from being reversely installed in the display unit main body and the base, in which the two struts are formed by folding metal plates, which have the same shape, in opposite directions with respect to front and back sides and providing column shapes having different shapes with fold line directions as longitudinal directions.

Display device, television receiver, and method for manufacturing strut

The display device includes two standsthat support a chassis (holder). The stand has a strut, and the strut is fixed to the chassis with a fixing portion that encloses a back side and both horizontal sides of the strut. A first projected portion, which projects toward the strut, is formed on a second plate-like member positioned at one side of the strut, and a second projected portion, which projects at a position nearer to the back compared to the first projected portion, is formed on a third plate-like member positioned at the other side. Between the two fixing portions, positions of the second plate-like member and the third plate-like member are in reverse to each other. Due to difference in the positions of the first projected portion and the second projected portion, the two stands cannot be attached at reverse positions. Once the orientation of one fixing portion is reversed, one fixing portion becomes the other fixing portion, and the two fixing portions are common components.

Provided is a display device in which a panel module can be fixed to a front cabinet without using screws, and when performing maintenance, the panel module can be easily removed from the front cabinet. The display device including a panel module having a display surface on the front side thereof, a front cabinet surrounding a peripheral edge part of the panel module, and a back cabinet covering a back side of the panel module includes a flexible hook part protruded toward the back cabinet from the inner surface of the front cabinet, and an L-shaped fixing member which has an L shape and includes a latch plate having a hole part in which the flexible hook part is latched and a contact plate which contacts with a back surface of the panel module so as to fix the front cabinet to the panel module.
