A gear shift control device for a continuously variable transmission of a vehicle is configured to steplessly and continuously change and output a rotation speed of an engine. The gear shift control device includes a gear shift control unit and a torque control command unit. The gear shift control unit is configured to implement a pseudo-stepped upshift control to change a gear shift ratio in steps when upshifting the continuously variable transmission. The torque control command unit is configured to output a torque reduction command so as to reduce an engine torque in conjunction with the pseudo-stepped upshift control so that reduction of the engine torque starts before a point in time when an actual gear shift ratio starts changing in response to an upshift command.

Gear shift control device and gear shift control method for continuously variable transmission

A hydraulic control device controls hydraulic pressure supplied to a continuously variable transmission. The hydraulic control device includes a pressure regulating valve, a solenoid valve configured to control the pilot pressure, line pressure control means, and hydraulic control means. The pressure regulating valve includes an input port to which line pressure is input, an output port configured to supply an oil chamber of a second pulley with a second pulley pressure, a drain port configured to discharge the second pulley pressure from the oil chamber, and a spool moving according to pilot pressure to regulate the second pulley pressure. The line pressure control means is configured to control the line pressure on the basis of the second pulley pressure and first pulley pressure of first pulley. The hydraulic control means is configured to temporarily change the pilot pressure from set pressure to configure the line pressure identical to the second pulley pressure.

Hydraulic control device and method for controlling the same

In a speed change control system of an automatic transmission incorporated with an engine, there are provided a speed change mechanism that is able to establish a forward speed or a reverse by engaging a hydraulically operated friction element upon switching of the transmission from a non-travel range to a travel range; and a control unit that controls the hydraulically operated friction element in such a manner that a hydraulic pressure applied to the friction element is feedback controlled in such a manner that when the engine is under a lower load condition, a rate of speed change of rotation of an input shaft of the transmission has a first target rate. The control unit is configured to set the rate of speed change of the input shaft to a second target rate smaller than the first target rate when, upon switching of the transmission from the non-travel range to the travel range, the engine is under a higher load condition; and configured to control the hydraulic pressure of the friction element in a feedback control manner so that the rate of speed change of the input shaft has the second target rate.
