A solid electrolytic capacitor includes at least one capacitor element including an anode part and a cathode part, an anode lead terminal, a cathode lead terminal, and an exterior body covering the capacitor element. Each of the anode lead terminal and the cathode lead terminal has a main surface and a side surface, and includes a buried part buried in the exterior body and an exposed part exposed from the exterior body. In at least one of the anode lead terminal or the cathode lead terminal, at least a part of a main surface of the exposed part is covered with a low-melting-point material, and a first side surface region in a side surface of the buried part is not covered with the low-melting-point material. The first side surface region is a region away from a boundary between the buried part and the exposed part by more than 0.36 mm.
