A tag-attaching pin attaching apparatus is used with a tag-attaching pin unit which is formed with a plurality of tag-attaching pins each having an insertion head section and a holding section both of which are provided on both end portions of a fiber section. The plurality of tag-attaching pins are mutually and adjacently arranged in parallel and connected with each other via connecting members. The tag-attaching pin attaching apparatus of the present invention is configured so that under a situation in which one of an end portion of the tag-attaching pin unit, without using any connecting bars, is arranged at an insertion head portion shooting out position, a tag-attaching pin unit pushing member applies a bias force directing to the insertion head portion shooting out position, to another end portion of the tag-attaching pin unit.

Semiconductor apparatus and fabrication method thereof

A printer eliminating an installation space on a desk or a floor. A printer has a hook and a housing. The hook is provided on the housing and is locked to a display panel to attach the printer to the display panel. The printer can be installed by making use of a space at a rear surface of the display panel, and a printed sheet can be discharged in the same side as the surface of a display. The printer thus provides easy observation of the printed sheet and easy handling.

A paper feeding apparatus of this invention comprises a feed roller and a paper holding member for nipping and feeding roll paper; and a first paper guide that has a first guide surface against which the roll paper outputted from the feed roller is pushed. The first guide surface is tilted so as to guide the roll paper in a direction opposite to a curving direction of the roll paper. In this paper feeding apparatus, the roll paper is pushed against the guide surface for removing the curl. Therefore, the curl is removed efficiently. The mechanism for removing the curl becomes simple and load of motor is reduced. The paper feeding apparatus can be applied to a compact printer that is carried with a mobile phone.

According to the present invention, a paper sheet managing device is provided. The sheet managing device includes a storage part for storing paper sheets and sheet supply means for supplying a paper sheet from the storage part. The sheet supply means comprises a pick up roller extending in a sheet width direction orthogonal to a sheet feeding direction, a drive shaft extending parallel to the pick up roller and rotationally driving the pick up roller and a plurality of power transmitting means for transmitting a power from the drive shaft to the pick up roller. The plurality of power transmitting means is disposed at at least both ends of the pick up roller and each of the plurality of power transmitting means comprises a gear train that links the drive shaft and the pick up roller and an arm that oscillates the pick up roller. The driving shaft includes processing that prevents rotational phase shifts. With this construction, it is possible to realize a slimline, compact paper sheet managing device that can supply paper reliably using a pick up roller with a long effective length and a small diameter. Using the paper sheet managing device, a slimline and compact printer can be realized.

Paper sheet managing device and recording system

A printer includes a line thermal head, a platen roller for holding a paper between the platen roller and the line thermal head and feeding the paper, a cutter, including a movable blade and a fixed blade, for cutting printed paper, and a cutter driving mechanism for driving the movable blade. At least one of the line thermal head and the platen roller can be moved from a first position for printing to a second position for removing a paper jam, and one of the movable blade and the fixed blade is directly or indirectly attached to one of the line thermal head and the platen roller so that when the one of the line thermal head and the platen roller moves from the first position to the second position, one of the movable blade and the fixed blade also moves. In this way, a compact printer that uses roll paper, has a cutter function, and makes it easy to remove paper jams can be provided.

A printer and a printer assembly of the present invention includes: a line thermal head; a platen roller having surface of high coefficient of friction for holding a printing paper between the platen roller and the line thermal head to feed the printing paper; supporting rollers having surface of low coefficient of friction, disposed at front and rear of the platen roller along a paper feeding direction so as to support the platen roller from a side opposed to the line thermal head; a supporting plate extending along the supporting rollers so as to receive the supporting rollers from a side opposed to the line thermal head; and pressurizing means for applying pressure between the supporting rollers and the line thermal head. The platen roller is supported along its longitudinal direction by the supporting rollers comprising a small member with low coefficient of friction. Accordingly, even when the diameter of a platen roller is small, it is possible to apply sufficient pressure on to the line thermal head, and thin and compact printer assembly and printer can be provided.

Printer assembly and printer

The printer and the printer assembly of the present invention has a line thermal head extending in the paper width direction; a non-roller type platen disposed so as to face the line thermal head for printing a thermal paper between the line thermal head and the platen; and a paper extracting device disposed on the paper ejection side of the line thermal head and the platen for feeding a thermal paper between a first and a second roller. The non-roller type platen can press the thermal paper with uniform pressure and without distortion even if it is thin. Moreover, it is possible to prevent distortion of the rollers of the extracting device even with small diameters by supporting middle parts of each shaft of respective rollers. Therefore, a thin and compact printer assemblies and printers are provided.

A printer includes a flat case having a flat top surface in which a printing mechanism and a sheet storage portion capable of accommodating a plurality of printing sheets are housed to be arranged along the top surface such that the printed sheet is fed out through an exit slot formed in the top surface. With such an arrangement, a thin printer can be achieved. In addition, the printed sheet fed out through the exit slot onto the flat top surface can be used just like a scratch pad or a notebook while being placed thereon. Moreover, the printer is of a thermal-type using thermal sheets, leading to reduced number of components. Therefore a compact printer can be achieved. Furthermore the printer uses thermal sheets of standard size such as A6 or B7. Accordingly, the printer can be formed to have a size substantially the same as that of a small notebook. A printer that can be handled like stationery, thus, can be obtained.

A printer including a portable information processing portion located on the face of the printer, a paper accomodating portion located on the back of the information processing portion and capable of accomodating thermosensible printing sheets of standardized size, and a printing mechanism portion located adjacent to a side of the information processing portion is provided. With such a structure, a printer which allows for a large printing area while being as almost the same size of PDA and is suitable for portable use can be provided. Moreover, by employing a thermal head for printing on the thermosensible sheets, a space required for consumables such as ink is eliminated. As a result, a practically portable printer can be provided.

Printer for portable information processor

A liquid crystal display device having a first transparent substrate, a second transparent substrate and a liquid crystal composition sandwiched between the first and second transparent substrates. The first transparent substrate has a plurality of first main electrodes and a plurality of first auxiliary electrodes extending from the first main electrodes. The second transparent substrate has a plurality of second main electrodes. The second main electrodes are positioned so that the second main electrodes have mutually confronting portions with the first main electrodes, defining main pixels therebetween, and with the first auxiliary electrodes defining auxiliary pixels therebetween. The presence of the liquid crystal composition between the first transparent substrate and the second transparent substrate in the regions of the main pixels and auxiliary pixels allow an image display in the main pixel and auxiliary pixel regions. Second auxiliary electrodes extending from the second main electrodes define further auxiliary pixels with the first main electrodes and still further auxiliary pixels with the first auxiliary electrodes.

Liquid crystal display device

A wire dot printer comprises a plurality of wires for carrying ink respectively on the ends thereof, and ink applicator mechanism applying the ink to the wire, and an ink heater unit disposed adjacent to the wire ends for heating the ink to a controlled temperature level. The ink is applied to the side surfaces of the wires and is drawn to the wire ends by capillary attraction.

Ink-supplied wire dot printer

A manually operated dot printer designed for use in a pocket sized calculator or a small sized electronic device includes a printing head which is manually movable across a sheet of printing paper in one direction. A pulse generating circuit produces a signal in synchronization with the speed of travel of the printing head. While the printing head is moving in said one direction, the printing head effects electrically controlled printing operations with dots in response to the signal produced by the pulse generating circuit. As the printing head is advanced, spring means store energy which is applied to return the printing head and advance the printing paper.

Manually-operated dot printer for pocket sized calculators

A manually operated dot printer designed for use in a pocket-sized calculator or a small-sized electronic device includes a printing head which is manually driven across the dot printer paper in one direction to store energy in springs. The springs return the printing head in steps intermittently while the printing head effects printing on the printing paper. The springs also feed the printing paper. While the printing head is manually moved, the printing elements are maintained out of contact with the printing paper. During return movement of the printing head, the printing elements are in contact with, or nearly in contact with, the printing paper for printing operations. The actual printing operations of the printing head are performed with electrical control using elements of low power consumption.

Speed controlled printer
