A head mounted display apparatus (HMD apparatus) according to one embodiment has a function of arranging and displaying the virtual object in a space based on an operation by a user. The HMD apparatus displays, on a display surface, a grid including a plurality of points for supporting an operation of the virtual object, and disposes and displays, according to an operation includes designation of a target virtual object and designation of a first point at an arrangement destination, the target virtual object at the position of the first point.
