An object is to provide a method of manufacturing a supercharger that can promptly and easily form an abradable layer in a supercharger. A method of manufacturing a supercharger is a method of manufacturing a supercharger including a turbine configured to rotationally drive, and a compressor having an impeller configured to rotate according to rotational force of the turbine and a housing () configured to store the impeller, and the method includes a process of applying coating of an abradable material which is to form an abradable layer () when being solidified, only to a predetermined range on a surface of the housing () via which the impeller and the housing () face.

Method of manufacturing supercharger

An object is to provide a structure and a method of joining a nozzle vane and a lever, and a variable geometry turbocharger, capable of reducing breakage of a welded part between a shaft portion of the nozzle vane and the lever during usage of the same by reducing generation of a hot crack in weld metal at the welded part. A joint structure includes: a nozzle vanedisposed in an exhaust passage for guiding exhaust gas to a turbine wheelof a variable geometry turbocharger, and including a shaft portion; and a leverincluding a fitting surfacefitted with a peripheral surfaceon one end side of the shaft portion, for transmitting torque to the shaft portion to adjust a vane angle of the nozzle vane. Weld metalat a welded partbetween the lever and the nozzle vane is formed so that a center positionof the weld metal is disposed inside a positionof the fitting surface with respect to a radial direction of the shaft portion.

A turbine rotor comprising: a turbine wheelobtainable by precision casting of titanium aluminide, including a hubextending along a rotational center of the turbine wheel, and a plurality of impellersarranged along a circumferential direction around an outer circumference of the hub, and having a web-like scallopformed by making a cutout between adjacent impellers among the plurality of the impellers; and a rotor shaftextending along the rotational center line C-C of the turbine wheel on a back side of the hub of the turbine wheel; wherein the turbine wheel has a balance cut portionarranged along the circumferential direction of the rotational turbine wheel on the back side of the hub of the turbine wheel, wherein an area of the balance correcting part arranged in the circumferential direction is placed so that a balance cut minimum diameter BCmin is larger than a maximum diameter of the rotor shaft on the wheel mounting side, and that a balance cut maximum diameter BCmax is smaller than a scallop diameter S of the turbine wheel, and that a thickness t from the back side of the turbine wheel to a surface of the hub satisfies 1.75t&#x2267;w, where w is a width in a radial direction of the area arranged in the circumferential direction (i.e. balance cut).

Leaning of the rotor shaftafter cooling is thereby be suppressed.
