A water lubricant composition () of the present invention contains water () as a lubricating base material and ND particles (), which are hydrogen-reduced nanodiamond particles. The content of the water () in the water lubricant composition () is, for example, 90% by mass or more. The content of the ND particles () in the water lubricant composition () is, for example, 0.1% by mass or less. The water lubricant composition () is suitable for achieving low friction in water lubrication. A water lubricating system of the present invention includes the water lubricant composition () which is being used for the lubrication of a SiC member and/or a SiOmember.

A transparent film for a display is provided. The transparent film enables smooth writing in input operation using a pen-input touch panel, like writing on paper with a pencil. The transparent film comprises a transparent substrate film and a coat layer on at least one side of the transparent substrate film. The total light transmittance of the transparent film in accordance with JIS K7136 is adjusted to not lower than 85%, and the surface of the coat layer is adjusted to a maximum height of rolling circle waviness profile (W) of not less than 15 &#x3bc;m in accordance with JIS B0610. The transparent film is disposed at the outermost side of a display in a pen-input touch panel. The coat layer may contain a particle and a binder component. The particle may have an average particle size of about 1 to 5 times as large as the thickness of the coat layer. The binder component may further contain a thermoplastic elastomer.

A multiple particle (e.g., a spherical particle) comprising an organic solid component (A) containing a plurality of organic solid materials (e.g., polymers) is produced by eluting a water-soluble auxiliary component (B) containing at least an oligosaccharide (B1) from a composition having a disperse system, in which a particulate dispersed phase comprising the organic solid component (A) is dispersed in a matrix comprising the auxiliary component (B). The organic solid materials may be different in affinity relative to the auxiliary component (B) from each other. The particle may have a core-shell structure which comprises a core containing a first organic solid material (e.g., a hydrophobic polymer) and a shell containing a second organic solid material (e.g., a hydrophilic polymer) immiscible with the first organic solid material.

Process of producing a particle having a core-shell structure

A shaped article (e.g., a porous material, and a spherical particle) comprising (A) a resin component is produced by kneading the resin component (A) (e.g., a thermoplastic resin) and a water-soluble auxiliary component (B) to prepare a dispersed composition, and eluting the auxiliary component (B) from the dispersed composition. The auxiliary component (B) may comprise 100 parts by weight of an oligosaccharide (B) and 0.5 to 100 parts by weight of a water-soluble plasticizing component (B) for plasticizing the oligosaccharide. The oligosaccharide (B) may comprise a tetrasaccharide. The plasticizing component (B) may comprise a saccharide or a sugar alcohol. Use of the dispersed composition ensures to form a shaped article having a given shape industrially with advantage even in the case of using a wide variety of resin components.

Dispersed composition and process for producing shaped article using the same

A colored particle (e.g., a spherical particle) comprising an organic solid component (e.g., a polymer component) and a coloring agent (e.g., an oil-soluble dye, and an organic or inorganic pigment) is produced by eluting a water-soluble auxiliary component comprising at least an oligosaccharide from a composition having a disperse system, in which a particulate dispersed phase comprising the organic solid component and the coloring agent is dispersed in a matrix comprising the auxiliary component. The weight ratio of the polymer component relative to the auxiliary component may be about 55/45 to 1/99. The proportion of the coloring agent may be about 0.001 to 100 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the organic solid component. Such a process ensures conveniently and industrially advantageous production of a colored particle (e.g., a colored polymer particle) corresponding to the dispersed phase independently of affinity between the dispersed phase and the matrix.
