A method for transferring ink on a plate onto a material to be printed by a printing method involves the steps of: providing the ink at predetermined positions on the plate, the ink being sensitive to a field to increase its viscosity so as to have a solidified state or a semi-solidified state; applying the field to the ink to maintain configuration of the ink provided at the predetermined positions on the plate; and transferring the ink onto the material to be printed while maintaining the ink in the solidified or semi-solidified state.

An aqueous dispersed solution of a substituted succinic anhydride which comprises an aqueous soluble copolymer (A) having 50 percent or more by mol of (meth)acrylamide (a) 1 percent or more by mol of N,N-dialkylamino.alkyl(meth)acrylamide (b) as monomer ingredients, aqueous soluble copolymer (B) having 50 percent or more by mol of (meth)acrylamide (a), 1 percent or more by mol of N,N-dialkylamino.alkyl(metho)acrylamide (b) and 49 percent or less by mol of other copolymer monomer (c) as monomer ingredients, or both of the dqueous soluble copolymer (A) and the aqueous soluble copolymer (B), and a process for producing an aqueous dispersed solution of a substituted succinic anhydride prepared by dispersing the aqueous soluble copolymer (A) or the aqueous soluble copolymer (B) or a mixture (C) of 99 to 99.9 percent by weight of the substituted succinic anhydride (d) and 10 to 0.1 percent by weight of an oil-in-water type surfactant (e) in aqueous solution containing both the aqueous soluble copolymer (A) and the aqueous soluble copolymer (B). Hot melt type traffic paint compositions contain as binders partially ring-hydrogenated resins derived by hydrogenating from 20 to 70% of the aromatic rings of an aromatic hydrocarbon resin obtainable by polymerization in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst of fractions prepared so as to have a conjugated diolefin content of not more than 1.0 wt % and in a ratio of not more than 3.0% with respect to the total amount of polymerizable ingredients and a total content of indene and its alkyl derivatives of not more than 4.0 wt % and in a ratio of not more than 12.0% with respect to the total amount of polymerizable ingredients, said fractions obtained by distillation of cracked oil fractions which have boiling points in the range from 140.degree. to 220.degree. C. and are prepared by cracking of petroleum. These traffic paint compositions provide a favorable antiweathering property, heat resistance and flow characteristics.

A composite resinous composition is provided, which essentially comprises an aromatic hydrocarbon resin and an epoxy resin. The aromatic resin has its source from petroleum fractions produced during the thermal cracking of naphtha, kerosene or gas oil. Such fractions boiling in the range of 140.degree.-280.degree. C. are polymerized with a relatively large amount of phenols, the resulting polymer being highly compatible with commercially available epoxy resins.
