A signal recording apparatus configured to classify video/sound materials is provided with a reduced operational burden. A metadata generator is configured to generate recorded metadata which is metadata recorded with an AV signal. A classification determinator is configured to determine, upon receipt of the recorded metadata, which playlist a portion of the AV signal corresponding to the recorded metadata is classified into by referring to a classification database storing a classification rule and to output classification information indicating a determination result. A playlist generator is configured to generate a playlist according to the classification information. A recorder is configured to record the AV signal, the recorded metadata, and the playlist on a recording medium.

Signal recording apparatus, camera recorder, and signal processing system

In the present signal processing device, a recording unit is configured to record an inputted signal into a recording medium. A switch input unit is configured to input signal selection information for selecting any one of a plurality of signals. A meta-input unit is provided independently from the switch input unit. The meta-input unit is configured to input metadata. A switch list managing unit is configured to associate the signal selection information and the metadata and manage the signal selection information and the metadata as a switch metadata information every time the signal selection information is inputted into the switch input unit. A playlist recording unit is configured to determine a reproduction duration of each clip and generate a playlist including the metadata based on the switch metadata information. The playlist recording unit is configured to output the playlist to the recording medium.

Signal processing device

The present distribution system is formed by a plurality of clients enabled to receive a plurality of channels of signals and a distribution server enabled to output the plurality of channels of signals to respective clients. Each of the plurality of clients includes a switch unit and a transmission unit. The distribution server includes a plurality of transceiver units, a delay amount determining unit and a delay adjusting unit. The respective transceiver units output the plurality of channels of signals to the plurality of clients and receive selection information and dependent information from the respective plurality of clients. The delay amount determining unit determines delay amount to be instructed to the respective plurality of transceiver units based on the dependent information. The delay adjusting unit controls delay amount for the respective plurality of transceiver units based on the delay amount determined by the delay amount determining unit.

Distribution system and distribution server

The present signal processing device includes an operating unit, an editing database, a conflict detection unit and a conflict display unit. The operating unit is configured to output a plurality of pieces of editing result information and a single or plurality of editing IDs identifying pieces of result information in association with each other. The editing database holds the plurality of pieces of editing result information and the single or plurality of editing IDs in association with each other. The conflict detection unit detects a difference between or differences among the plurality of pieces of editing result information associated with the same editing ID as a single or plurality of conflict states based on the plurality of pieces of editing result information and the single or plurality of editing IDs to be obtained from the editing database. The conflict display unit displays the single or plurality of conflict states.

A video recording apparatus preferentially transmits important video data, while reducing user's operational burdens. An operating section receives operation instructions of a first recording video image. A video recording section records a second recording video image, and records the first recording video image in accordance with the operation instructions input to the operating section. An overlapping period detection section generates overlap information indicating temporal overlap between the recording video images, from an output of the operating section. The video recording section divides the second recording video image into blocks at timing based on recording operation of the first recording video image, and determines priority of the divided blocks based on the overlap information.

When a power sourceis turned on, recording management information is obtained from a recording mediumand the obtained recording management information is analyzed. Whether or not recording of new image data on the recording mediumis possible is determined, based on the analysis result. Imaging apparatus and method of starting the same

A video recording apparatus is configured to record, onto a recording medium, a layered data structure containing data sets. Each of the data sets includes a plurality of channels of data elements. Each of the data elements includes video data and/or the like. An input unit is configured to receive a plurality of channels of video data. The plurality of channels correspond to each other. An information generation unit is configured to generate additional information to be added to each of the data elements in at least two layers of the data structure. An adding unit is configured to add the additional information to each of the data elements so that the data elements included in each of the data sets are associated with each other. A recording unit is configured to record the data structure in which the additional information has been added to each of the data elements onto the recording medium.

Video recording apparatus and video reproducing apparatus

A video processing device includes: encoder for generating a compressed video data by compressing and encoding a video data from camera unit; and system control unit for recording the compressed video data during a recording period from a recording start time to a recording end time as a video file and for recording, into recording memory, additional data as an index file that is information related to a compressed video data to be recorded in recording memory and, for reading the additional data together with the compressed video data from recording memory. System control unit records, into recording memory, the additional data recorded in the index file. The additional data is composed of additional data regarding the compressed video data recorded during the recording period and another additional data including a time code value showing a time at which a compressed video data to be recorded next is started.

Video processing device

In recording materials of a video program or the like, the video materials are efficiently and optimally acquired so that processing steps in and after an editing step subsequent to a recording step can be reduced. A recording support information (metadata) on a schedule of and a performer for an imaging operation, and the like, which are determined in advance is recorded in a first recording mediumby a program constitution input device. The first recording mediumis inserted in to an imaging device, materials to be recorded are classified and confirmed based on the metadata, and the materials which can constitute a desirable program as potentially as possible are acquired in the recording operation.

Imaging device and imaging system

An object of the present invention is to reduce a possibility of existence of a plurality of identical file names in files which are created by a plurality of apparatuses. This is accomplished using a file name generation apparatus having an UMID generation unit () generating a globally unique identifier, and a file name generation unit () generating a file name including the globally unique identifier generated by the UMID generation unit ().

File name generating unit

A phase standard position signal generator generates a phase standard position signal of a predetermined period indicating the phase standard position of an image signal of 24 frames/second format, for recordation into a recording reproducing medium. In reproducing from the recording reproducing medium, a phase standard position sensor senses the phase standard position signal. A counter performs frequency quintuplication of the phase standard position signal and counts the period of the frequency-quintupled signal. A time code reader reads a 24 Hz time code value from the recording reproducing medium. A time code generator calculates a 30 Hz time code with the use of the counted value given by the counter and the 24 Hz time code value. Thus, the time code of 24 Hz period is converted into the 30 Hz time code with high precision even in variable-speed reproduction.
