There is provided a calibration method of a detecting section which is provided on a substrate incorporated into a system interconnection generator and which detects by detecting means an object to be detected or an value of the object to be detected. The calibration method comprises the steps of prior to the substrate being incorporated into the system interconnection generator, measuring by the detecting section a reference value of the object to be detected by the detecting section; storing at least one of an error with respect to the reference value measured by the measuring step and the measured value of the reference value in association with the measurement result; and after the substrate being incorporated into the system interconnection generator, outputting the measurement result of the detecting section based on at least one of the error and the measured reference value, stored by the storing step in association with the measurement result.

A system interconnection generator comprising a power converting unit for converting solar energy into AC power by using a voltage chopping waveform, the ON duty of which is adjusted, thereby to supply the converted AC power to the system for a commercial AC power source. The distortion of the current waveform of the AC power supplied from the system interconnection generator to the system is detected to correct the ON duty of the chopping section after 360 degrees of the chopping section, in accordance with the distortion which has been detected.

An air conditioner equipped with a solar generator is disclosed. A system-interconnected generator permits effective use of surplus power generated by a solar battery for operating electric equipment such as an air conditioner. The system-interconnected generator having a power converter for converting solar energy to AC power and supplying the AC power to a system on a commercial AC power supply so as to make it possible to sell the power to the system is equipped with: a storing section for storing an integrated value of the AC power which has been converted from solar energy by the power converter; a correcting section for subtracting a value of power, which is consumed by particular electric equipment receiving power supplied from the system, from the integrated value stored in the storing section; and a demanding section for enabling a demanding function of the electric equipment when the integrated value stored in the storing section becomes smaller than a predetermined value.

A temperature detection circuit outputs a voltage corresponding to the resistance value of the temperature detection device, whose resistance value varies with changes in temperature, which voltage is A/D (analog-to-digital) converted into a digital step value. This digital step value is converted to a temperature value using a predetermined mathematical relationship. The temperature control is executed using the converted temperature value and a desired temperature value in the same data form as the converted temperature value.

A DC power supply bus is used to connect a solar cell to an outdoor unit of air conditioners. The output voltage of each outdoor unit is controlled so as to maximize the power generation efficiency of the solar cell and the DC power supplied to the air conditioner is regulated to a predetermined value.

An inverter apparatus comprises a bridge circuit composed of a combination of a plurality of switching transistors and a microprocessor controlling turning on and turning off of these switching transistors. Patterns of combinations of ON and OFF states of respective switching transistors obtained based on the theory of PWM (pulse width modulation) are stored in a first ROM of microprocessor. Transition of the pattern for each range of 0.degree.-30.degree. in electrical angle is stored in a second ROM in the sequence of periods subdivided from the range. Data of the time during which the pattern to be held for each period is stored in a third ROM. The microprocessor sets the holding time data in a timer, and also outputs the ON/OFF pattern, thereby turning on or turning off of each switching transistor is controlled in accordance with the count of this timer and the ON/OFF pattern. By repeating this cycle, a switching signal which continues during one cycle of AC (range of 0.degree.-360.degree. in electrical angle) is given to each switching transistor. Accordingly, an AC output by the PWM system is obtainable from the bridge circuit.

Inverter apparatus

A control device for brushless motor comprises an inverter (3), a control circuit (8) and a rotor position detecting circuit (9). In the rotor position detecting circuit (9), voltage induced in stator coils (U, V and W) due to rotation of a rotor (7) and neutral voltage at a virtual neutral point (25) are compared by comparators (CU, CV and CW) so that polarity changing points can be detected. The control circuit (8) controls the inverter (3) based on the above stated polarity changing points so as to control changeover of the modes for conducting to the stator coils (U, V and W). As a result, rotation of a brushless motor can be controlled without using Hall elements.
