This disclosure relates to a method for slicing a cylindrical elastic body, for example, a slab or broad belt prior to being cut into belts or rings of a certain width, by a two-shaft system, and its apparatus. The apparatus includes a) a drive shaft, of which the top end thereof can be released from its support, of which the root end thereof is connected to its drive unit, the drive shaft having a radially projecting part at the root end; b) a freely rotatable shaft extending in parallel with and at a constant distance from the drive shaft in a horizontal plane, of which the top end can be released from it support and can be tilted in vertical direction, and c) a cutting unit which has a cutter positioned perpendicular to the axial direction of the drive shaft, and which can move towards the drive shaft and can travel in the axial direction of the drive shaft. With the use of the above-mentioned apparatus, a cylindrical elastic body can be reliably and stably biased to one end of the two shafts supporting the elastic body, and slicing into rings of a desired width can be accomplished with high precision.

This disclosure relates to a counter for elastic rings, comprising a screw having a spiral groove which is slightly wider than the width of an elastic ring and is slightly deeper than the thickness of the elastic ring. The screw has an open discharge end, and a plurality of sorting rollers are loosely mounted in series on a support shaft located above and parallel to the screw and are independently capable of rotation and vertical movement. The sorting rollers contact a spiral ridge of the screw, and are arranged such that while the screw is rotated and the elastic rings are fed to the feed end thereof, the elastic rings are loosely moved into the spiral groove of the screw by the sorting rollers, and then sequentially delivered from the discharge end of the screw to a counting means.

Counter for elastic rings

A mold for injection molding including a cylindrical outer mold and a columnar inner mold. The inner mold is provided, on its external circumferential surface, with a large number of tooth-shaped grooves extending in the axial direction thereof, and it is placed inside the outer mold to define an annular cavity between the external circumferential surface of the inner mold and the internal circumferential surface of the outer mold. The outer mold is provided with a plurality of runners extending axially near the internal circumferential surface. The runners are arranged at regular annular intervals along the circumference of the outer mold. Furthermore, slit-shaped gates are formed along the full length of the runners, the gates opening into the internal circumferential surface of the outer mold, in such a way that the inflow of molten molding material flowing from each runner into the cavity is gradually reduced along the runner from the upstream side towards the downstream end.

A thermal transfer machine comprising a freely rotatable belt attachment roller onto which an endless belt can be removably attached with the surface to be imprinted facing outwardly, a freely rotatable thermal roller placed so as to be movable toward and away from said belt attachment roller, a pair of support arms placed parallel to each other across an open space so that said thermal roller is positioned between them, and a marking paper support which has securing fixtures for stretching the marking paper across the space between the support arms and which is capable of moving in a reciprocating motion in the front-to-back direction of the thermal roller. With said thermal roller pressed against the belt on said belt attachment roller by a pressing apparatus, the marking paper support is moved at the same speed as the peripheral velocity of the thermal roller in the direction of the tangent of the thermal roller occurring at the contact surface between the thermal roller and the belt by the drive apparatus which turns the thermal roller.
