To provide a gear machining apparatus capable of correcting a tooth trace error without using a special tool when a hob cutter is cantilever-supported. A gear machining apparatus includes a hob cutter machining a tooth profile on a workpiece, a tool spindle device rotatably cantilever-supporting the hob cutter, a workpiece spindle device rotatably supporting the workpiece, a driving device moving the tool spindle device and the workpiece spindle device relatively to each other, a measuring device measuring the value corresponding to a bending amount of the hob cutter or a rotation synchronization shift of the workpiece spindle device with respect to the tool spindle device and a correction processing unit correcting a cutting amount of the hob cutter T or the rotation synchronization shift of the workpiece spindle device with respect to the tool spindle device based on the value measured by the measuring device.

A gear machining apparatus includes: a hob cutter; at least one processor; and at least one memory having instructions. The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the gear machining apparatus to perform operations including: performing first chamfering on a first axial end of a gear profile by relatively moving the hob cutter with respect to a workpiece in radial and axial directions of the workpiece; performing, subsequent to the first chamfering, gear profile machining by relatively moving the hob cutter with respect to the workpiece in the axial direction; and performing, subsequent to the gear profile machining, second chamfering on a second axial end of the gear profile by relatively moving the hob cutter with respect to the workpiece in the radial and axial directions.

A gear machining apparatus performs cutting work for a workpiece and generates a gear by performing a feed operation of a gear cutter relative to the workpiece along a direction of an axis of the workpiece while synchronously rotating the gear cutter and the workpiece in a state in which an axis of the gear cutter is inclined with respect to a line parallel to the axis of the workpiece. A gear machining apparatus and a gear machining method are provided. To provide a gear cutting tool capable of supplying a coolant liquid to an optimum position even when cutting edges are reground. The gear cutting tool includes the tool body having a plurality of blades on an outer peripheral surface thereof and a center hole, and a nozzle provided in the center hole of the tool body so that a fixed position in the tool body is adjustable. The nozzle includes a flow channel which allows supplied coolant liquid to flow into the center hole of the tool body, and discharge the coolant liquid toward the plurality of blades.

A gear machining apparatus includes a machining tool having a plurality of protruding tool edges on an outer periphery of the machining tool, and driving apparatuses that form a tooth on a work piece by rotating the machining tool around a central axis thereof, rotating the work piece W around a central axis thereof, and moving the machining tool relative to the work piece. Radial outer faces of the protruding tool edges form multiple steps that are parallel to the central axis of the machining tool such that the diameter of the machining tool increases in a stepwise manner from a tool leading end toward a tool base end of the machining tool.

A gear machining device is provided which can machine an accurate gear by a cutting process by synchronously rotating a machining tool and a workpiece at a high speed. A machining tool includes roughing cutting teeth for roughing bottom lands and right and left side faces of teeth of a gear, right side face finishing cutting teeth for finishing the right side faces of the teeth, and left side face finishing cutting teeth for finishing the left side faces of the teeth. The cutting teeth thus cut different parts of the teeth of the gear. This can reduce cutting resistance and suppress self-vibration during the cutting process, thereby improving tooth trace accuracy of the gear.

A gear machining device for machining a gear by using a machining tool which has a rotation axis inclined relative to a rotation axis of a workpiece and feeding the machining tool relatively in the rotation axis direction of the workpiece by rotating the machining tool in synchronization with a rotation of the workpiece. The gear machining device includes a tool state memorizing portion for memorizing a tool state including a position or a posture of the machining tool relative to the workpiece for machining a tooth bottom, first and second side surfaces of the gear and a machining control portion for controlling machining of the workpiece under each tool state of the machining tool memorized in the tool state memorizing portion.

Gear machining device and gear machining method

A gear machining apparatus causes a machining tool and a workpiece to rotate at a high speed in synchronization with each other to machine a highly accurate gear through cutting. The machining tool is manufactured such that each of pitches between tool blades of the machining tool is an integer multiple of a pitch between teeth of the gear, the integer multiple being equal to or larger than double. By using the machining tool for cutting performed by the gear machining apparatus, the number of the tool blades of the machining tool, which are brought into contact with the workpiece at the same time, is reduced. Thus, it is possible to suppress occurrence of self-excited vibrations during cutting by reducing the cutting resistance. Thus, it is possible to enhance the tooth trace accuracy of the gear.
