A shock absorber includes: a cylinder accommodating a fluid; a piston that reciprocates with respect to the cylinder while partitioning an inside of the cylinder into a first fluid chamber and a second fluid chamber; a pump having a first port that communicates with either one of the first fluid chamber and the second fluid chamber and a second port that communicates with the other one of the first fluid chamber and the second fluid chamber, and including a flow rate change portion that changes a circulation amount of the fluid circulating between the first port and the second port; an electric rotor rotating in conjunction with the pump; and a stator forming a magnetic field between the electric rotor and the stator.

Shock absorber

A fluid pump includes: three or more volume chambers that suction and discharge a fluid sequentially; moving elements that are respectively provided in the volume chambers, move relative to the volume chamber, and suction and discharge the fluid from and to the volume chamber; a cam that abuts against and drives the moving elements; and a driving section that drives at least one of the moving elements and the cam and relatively rotates the moving elements and the cam to discharge the fluid one time from each of the volume chambers in one cycle of the relative rotation, in which, when suctioning and discharging the fluid, regarding a discharge rotation angle &#x3b1;, &#x3b1;=(Z/M)&#xd7;N is satisfied, where the number of volume chambers is M and any integer from 2 to (M&#x2212;1) is N.

Fluid pump with cam geometry to reduce pulsations

A solenoid valve includes: a cylindrical spool that has an annular groove in an outer surface and moves along an axial direction under a driving force generated by a current being applied to a solenoid part; a cylindrical sleeve that has a through-hole capable of communicating with the annular groove and houses the spool; and an urging member that urges the spool by an urging force acting in a direction opposite from a direction in which the driving force is generated. When no current is applied to the solenoid part, a part of the through-hole communicates with the annular groove. When a current is applied to the solenoid part, an area of communication between the through-hole and the annular groove increases as the spool moves under the driving force acting against the urging force.

Solenoid valve and oil pump

A variable displacement oil pump includes an adjustable member that is configured to shift according to changes in pressure inside a control oil chamber. The adjustable member has a long hole. A guide pin is disposed inside the long hole. The guide pin is fixed to either a housing or a cover of the variable displacement oil pump. The width of the long hole is larger at a part of the long hole farther away from a fixed end of the guide pin in its lengthwise direction than at a part thereof closer to the fixed end.

Variable displacement oil pump

A control device for a variable-capacity oil pump provided in an engine using alcohol-containing fuel includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to: (i) estimate an alcohol concentration in oil of the engine, and (ii) correct a capacity of the oil pump to be increased in a correction condition as compared with a case where the correction condition is not established when the correction condition is established. The correction condition is that an estimated alcohol concentration is a predetermined concentration or more and a temperature of the oil is a predetermined temperature or more.

Control device for oil pump

A variable displacement oil pump includes: a variable displacement mechanism that is able to change a discharge amount per rotation of an input shaft. The variable displacement mechanism includes a pump housing, an oil pressure chamber provided in the pump housing, and a capacity adjustment member displaced by oil pressure from the oil pressure chamber. The capacity adjustment member is configured to be operated when receiving control oil pressure that is supplied from a control valve to the oil pressure chamber. The pump housing has an oil release hole that is opened to face the oil pressure chamber and that penetrates a wall section of the pump housing to partially release oil.

An oil supply apparatus supplies oil from an oil pump driven by an engine preferentially to a valve timing control unit. In the oil supply apparatus, a first discharge opening and a second discharge opening having an opening area larger than that of the first discharge opening are formed such that a pressurized region of the oil pump is divided into the two discharge openings. The oil from the first discharge opening is fed to a controlling oil passage through a first discharge port and then supplied to the valve timing controller from the controlling oil passage. The oil from the second discharge opening is fed to a lubricating oil passage through the second discharge port and then supplied to a main gallery from the lubricating oil passage.

Oil supply apparatus

A hydraulic oil supply apparatus includes an oil pump discharging hydraulic oil, a common oil passage through which the discharged hydraulic oil flows, a first oil passage branched from the common oil passage to supply the hydraulic oil to a valve opening and closing timing control apparatus, a second oil passage supplying the hydraulic oil to a main gallery, and a flow control valve decreasing a volume of hydraulic oil flowing through the first oil passage with an increase of hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic oil discharged from the oil pump so as to increase a volume of hydraulic oil flowing through the second oil passage. In the hydraulic oil supply apparatus, hydraulic pressure generated from the hydraulic oil passing through a valve body of the flow control valve is applied to the valve body as a force against a force of a biasing member that biases the valve body.

Hydraulic oil supply apparatus

A hydraulic control device includes a first predetermined portion receiving the oil discharged from a pump, a first channel establishing communication between the pump and the first predetermined portion, a second channel branched from the first channel for supplying oil to a second predetermined portion, a flow passage area regulation unit arranged on the second channel and equipped with a spool that moves in a flow passage area increasing direction when an oil pressure in the second channel increases and in a decreasing direction when the oil pressure decreases, and a bypass channel, which is provided separately from a portion of the second channel where the spool disconnects the second channel, establishes communication between an upstream side and a downstream side of the second channel relative to the flow passage area regulation unit and supplies oil to the second predetermined portion even when the spool disconnects the second channel.

Hydraulic control device

A valve control mechanism is configured that is capable of optimally controlling an engine by lifting an intake valve only by the necessary amount, while suppressing noise at the time of operation. This valve control mechanism includes a control member that rotates around a control axis due to a driving force of an actuator, and a base end portion of a rocker arm is pivotably supported around a pivot axis by an eccentric support portion of the control member. The rocker arm is pivoted by a cam portion of a camshaft abutting against an intermediate roller of the rocker arm, and an operation of opening the intake valve is performed due to a pressure force from the pivot end. The rocker arm is shifted in the longitudinal direction due to an operation of the actuator, and control for changing the lift amount of the intake valve is performed.

Engine valve control mechanism

A lash adjuster is configured that reduces the impact at the time when a pressure force is exerted on a pressure-receiving effector, and reliably opens a valve by the necessary amount. This lash adjuster includes, in a relatively movable manner, the pressure-receiving effector that receives the pressure force and a relay effector that performs an operation of opening an intake valve, a pressure receiving-side damper space is formed at an insertion portion thereof, and an orifice portion is formed that suppresses an outflow of oil in the pressure receiving-side damper space when the pressure-receiving effector and the relay effector move in approaching directions. An abutting portion is formed that directly transmits the pressure force of the pressure-receiving effector to the relay effector when the pressure-receiving effector and the relay effector approach each other.

Lash adjuster

An oil pump includes: an inner rotor rotatable with a drive shaft in a unified manner on a drive-rotation axis; an outer rotor which has inner teeth configured to engage with outer teeth of the inner rotor and is rotatable about a driven axis eccentric to the drive-rotation axis; and an adjustment ring for rotatably supporting the outer rotor. A guide means which allows the adjustment ring to rotate about the driven axis, while allowing the driven axis to revolve about the drive-rotation axis, is formed of: first and second arm portions provided on the adjustment ring; and first and second guide faces with which the first and second arm portions are brought into slidable contact.

An oil pump includes a capacity adjustment mechanism that changes the pump capacity by moving a tubular body in a tube radial direction, with a pump chamber formed between the tubular body and an outer circumference side of a rotor, a first spring biasing the tubular body in a direction in which pump capacity increases, a control valve that converts oil pressure of the oil pump into control pressure and causes the control pressure to act on the capacity adjustment mechanism, and a second spring biasing a valve body in order to set the control pressure in the control valve. The relationship of the biasing forces of the first and second springs is set so that pump capacity is set to maximum when the engine rotational speed is less than a predetermined value, and so that pump capacity is reduced when the engine rotational speed exceeds a predetermined value.

An oil supply device for a vehicle includes an oil pump driven by a rotation of an internal combustion engine, a hydraulic actuator to which oil is supplied from the oil pump, an engine lubricating system to which the oil is supplied from the oil pump, an oil supply adjusting valve adjusting a supply condition of the oil from the oil pump to the hydraulic actuator and the engine lubricating system, a first oil supply passage supplying the oil from the oil pump to the hydraulic actuator, and a second oil supply passage supplying the oil from the oil pump to the engine lubricating system, wherein the oil supply adjusting valve consistently distributes the oil to the first oil supply passage and the second oil supply passage.
