A non-impact recording method is provided in which 3 to 4 or more copying sheets can be made through a non-impact system and further a small-sized printer which can be installed in portable type information terminal equipment can be formed. A non-impact recording method is also provided in which when electricity is applied between separate electrodes and a common electrode oppositely contacted with each other and arranged against both surfaces of a conductive recording medium, a recording image is formed by heat energy generated by the conductive recording media, wherein a plurality of the conductive recording media are overlapped with each other and volume resistivities of each of the overlapped conductive recording media are substantially the same to each other or decreased as they may move toward the common electrode.

Non-impact recording method and conductive recording medium

According to the present invention an exothermic member is provided freely rotatably and formed in a ring form composed of an exothermic resistor layer of high resistivity formed on an inner peripheral surface and a conductor layer of low resistivity formed on the outer peripheral surface of the exothermic resistor layer. A medium-leading member is provided for forming a conveyance path for media with the outer peripheral surface of the exothermic member in between and a pressing electrode member is provided for supporting the exothermic member in abutting against the exothermic resistor layer in a conductive state in a position opposing to the medium-leading member. A power supplying electrode is also provided being connected to the conductor layer making contact at least with a brim part on one side of the exothermic member and voltage is applied between the exothermic member and the pressing electrode member by a power supply and only a part of the exothermic member against which the pressing electrode member is abutting generates heat. Such a structure allows for fixing an image to be transcribed consisting essentially of toner formed on a recording medium when it passes through this part of the conveyance path.

An image recording method and apparatus including jetting a single carrier gas stream from a nozzle toward an oppositely disposed recording member, causing vaporous dyes formed by heating sublimable dyes to be blown out according to a picture signal into the carrier gas stream, and attaching the vaporous dyes carried on the carrier gas stream onto the recording member. The dyes enter the gas stream immediately adjacent the orifice of the nozzle. In a second embodiment, the plurality of nozzles, each carrying only one color, are vibratable to mix the colors.

An apparatus for projecting an image includes an image forming member on which a latent image corresponding to an original image is formed, a developing device for developing the latent image on the latent image forming member by use of a developing agent, a light reflecting panel mechanism provided with an optical reflecting surface and a light converging member for transmitting therethrough and converging the reflected beam of light from the reflected surface, and to which the duplicated image on the latent image forming member is transferred, a projection mechanism for illuminating the surface of the light reflecting panel mechanism on which the transferred image is formed and for projecting the transferred image formed on the surface onto a screen, and a cleaning mechanism for removing the transferred image on the surface of the light reflecting panel mechanism.

Apparatus for projecting a transferred image

A method of vapor jet printing is described, along with several embodiments of apparatus for practicing such method. The vapor phase of a sublimable dye is mixed with a carrier gas. The resulting mixture is then jetted toward a recording medium. The carrier gas in indirectly heated by the sublimable dye to maintain the latter in its vaporous state during its travel to the recording medium. One embodiment of the apparatus includes a removable cartridge for the sublimable dye which enables color interchangeability and a limited downtime for dye recharging.

An ink dot printer wherein an ink supply member having both insulation property and ink-impregnation property is positioned in contact with conductive recording electrodes disposed opposite to an opposed electrode through a recording medium, and ink is fed from the ink supply member to fore ends of the recording electrodes, so that a printing operation can be performed without soiling the recording medium. Accordingly the entire structure can be simplified and the ink fed to the fore ends of the recording electrodes is effectively kept undried.

Producing electrode for ink dot printer

In an ink dot printer for forming a picture with ink by generating an electric field between a recording electrode and an opposed electrode confronting each other through a recording medium and thereby sputtering the ink from the fore end of the recording electrode toward the recording medium, the present invention employs a rod-shaped recording electrode composed of a conductive material with a multiplicity of longitudinal ink passages formed therein, hence enhancing the ink fluidity in the recording electrode to enable fast printing.

Recording electrode for ink dot printer

An ink dot printer includes a recording electrode and an operating electrode disposed in a mutually opposing relationship with a record medium interposed therebetween, and a potential difference is caused to appear between the electrodes so that ink around an end of the recording electrode is flown toward the record medium. The recording electrode is formed from a nonconductive member having an ink impregnability which is processed to provide electric conductivity on a surface thereof. Thus, an electric field is well concentrated at the end of the recording electrode, thereby assuring flying of ink from the end of the recording electrode to improve the stability of printing.

Improved ink dot printer electrode structure

An ink dot printer comprising an opposite electrode, a carriage capable of reciprocating along the opposite electrode, a printing head mounted on the carriage, recording electrodes arranged within the printing head so that the tips thereof can be exposed through openings formed in a wall of the printing head opposite the opposite electrode, and a cap supported moveably on either the carriage or the printing head so as to close or open the openings of the printing head. When the ink dot printer is not in printing operation, the cap is closed to cover up the tips of the recording electrodes to prevent the drying of the tips of the recording electrode due to the evaporation of the ink so that the recording electrodes are always in good condition for stable printing operation.

A strain sensor includes an insulating resin, e.g. polyimide resin, film formed on a beam body having a strain generating section and a wiring layer having a resistance material, e.g. nickel-chrome, layer formed on the polyimide resin film and a gold layer selectively formed on the nickel-chrome layer. A solid powder, e.g. silicon dioxide, is mixed with the polyimide resin film.
