An adsorption-desorption material having a high carbon dioxide adsorption-desorption capability, a low pressure loss, a high thermal diffusion efficiency, and high resistance to repeated stresses, e.g., expansion and shrinkage, as well as an adsorption-desorption apparatus including the adsorption-desorption material, is provided. The adsorbent is composed of a three-dimensional network skeleton structure or a structure having three-dimensional network voids, the structure constructed by a compound having a carbon dioxide adsorption-desorption capability. The carbon dioxide adsorption-desorption apparatus is provided with this adsorbent.

A fluid cleaning filter of the present invention consists of a composite matrix composed of a pleated substrateconfigured into a pleated shape and an active carbon-containing layer, wherein the pleated substrateis made of polyurethane foamhaving a three-dimensional network skeletal structure, and the composite matrix is configured into a cylindrical shape. A filtering medium layermade of fibers is formed on the surface of the polyurethane foamfacing the active carbon-containing layer. The fibers of the filtering medium layer maybe electrostatically charged. The fluid cleaning filter exhibits good efficiency of dust collecting and deodorization even when a fluid flows through the filter at high rate.

A filter member which comprises one layer of deodorizing filter, which is composed of a reticulated filter substrate and a deodorizing agent adhering to the surface of its skeletons, and one or two layers of dust collecting filterandlaminated on any one side or both sides thereof, with the resulting laminate being pleated.

An adsorbent includes core particles containing an adsorbing material; a porous coating layer including a polymer material that coats the core particles; and an underlying layer containing a metal compound and disposed between the core particles and the porous coating layer. The porous coating layer is formed by spraying and applying a suspension or a solution containing the polymer material over the adsorbing material, or by immersing the adsorbing material into the suspension or the solution.

Adsorbents, process for producing the same, and applications thereof

An air filter suitably usable in an air cleaner, room air-conditioner or especially in car air-conditioners in which air is driven at a high speed. The air filter is made of a pleated polyurethane foam having on one or both sides thereof a three-dimensional network skeletal structure of micro cells.
