A heat-sensitive adhesive sheet for bonding a pair of information-recorded faces, belonging to the same sheet or two different sheets of recording material, together by application of heat thereto, which comprises three or more layers, including a support and a synthetic resin layer coated on either side of the support, having a peeling resistance ranging from 10 to 150 g/50 mm between the support and each synthetic resin layer in the T-peel test performed at a peeling speed of 300 mm/min. in the atmosphere of 20.degree. C. and 65% RH, and a peeling resistance greater than 300 g/50 mm, measured under the same conditions as described above, between each synthetic resin layer and the information-recorded face when heated in a condition wherein the adhesive sheet is sandwiched in between a pair of information-recorded faces of the recording material, and an information-recorded material, preferably of postcard size which is made by inserting the foregoing heat-sensitive adhesive sheet between each pair of information-recorded faces belonging to one sheet or two or more sheets of recording material, wherein at least two information-recorded faces are present, and then by heating them at a temperature of 100.degree. C. or lower to unite them together through heat-sensitive adhesion.

An improvement in a multicolor image-forming method and a multicolor image-forming material applied to the same, employing a heat transfer photosensitive material comprising a transparent substrate, a colored layer which is soluble in water but insolubilizable by light, and a heat-fusible and bondable intermediate layer therebetween.

Multicolor image-forming method

Multicolor image products useful for prepress color proofing. The products are laminates of a transfer support sheet; an adhesive layer of a heat-fusible and bondable material on a surface of said transfer support sheet; an image layer of a first color provided on the adhesive layer and having image areas of a water-insoluble resin component and non-image areas, the image areas being bonded to the surface of the adhesive layer; and one, two or three additional image layers each of a different color other than that of the first image layer. Each image layer is separated from another image layer by an intermediate layer of a material which is harmless to hue and transparency and has opposed first and second surfaces, the second surface being adhered to the image areas of the image layer closer to the transfer support sheet and to the adhesive layer or other intermediate layer at the non-image areas and being non-sticky at room temperature, heat-fusible and directly transferable to another heat-fusible surface at a temperature which prevents dimensional change and deformation of the surfaces so as to provide exact registration of the image layers and water-insoluble. The first surface of each intermediate layer is adhered to the image areas of the image layer farther from the transfer support sheet and to any additional intermediate layer and has the characteristics of the second surface except that the first surface is not required to be water-insoluble. An intermediate layer is also provided as the outermost layer of the laminate.

Multicolor image product

A multi-color image forming material which is in the form of multiple layers on a support, and having, at least two photosensitive layers, the farthest layer from the support being the uppermost photosensitive layer, the photosensitive layers being formed from a water-soluble resin having photocrosslinking ability with diazo resin, a photosensitive water-soluble, organic solvent insoluble diazo resin, and a water dispersible coloring agent which can produce a color tone, each photosensitive layer having a coloring agent which can produce a different color tone; and at least one intermediate layer, each intermediate layer being positioned between each photosensitive layer and the next adjacent photosensitive layer, the intermediate layer being formed from a hydrophobic, water-resistant, organic solvent softenable resin.

Multicolor diazo image-forming material

An image-forming method, wherein the uppermost photosensitive layer of a photosensitive coated face of the multicolor image-forming material is subjected to (A) pattern exposure and the non-exposed area (non-image area) is removed by washing with water and is then dried. Also, an image-forming process, wherein the second photosensitive layer from the top of the photosensitive coated face of a multicolor image-forming material is subjected to (B) pattern exposure through the upper intermediate layer which is contacted with the photosensitive layer and immersed into the organic solvent which softens the resin in the intermediate layer and does not dissolve the components in the photosensitive layer before and after the photocrosslinking reaction except for area on which the image is already formed on the upper layer thereof, the non-exposed area (non-image area) of the second photosensitive layer is removed together with the upper intermediate layer thereof by washing with water and is then dried.

Multicolor image forming method using multiply diazo resin layers

A color image forming method wherein a colored, water soluble polymer and a photo-sensitive polymerization initiator are layered upon a transparent base material, exposed to light through a negative original, washed with water to remove unpolymerized material, proofed, and then dyed to an optical density of at least 2.5.

A heat-sensitive recording material having a heat-sensitive layer composed mainly of a leuco dye, a phenolic compound and a water-soluble binding agent is characterized in that a combination of bisphenol A and p-phenylphenol is applied as the developer in a ratio by weight between 10:1 and 1:1, preferably 7:1 and 1:1.

Heat-sensitive recording material

A heat-sensitive recording material having a heat-sensitive layer composed mainly of a leuco dye and a phenolic compound used as a developer, said heat-sensitive layer containing as a binding agent any one or combinations of polyvinyl alcohol, oxidized starch and etherized starch, and methyl cellulose in a ratio by weight between 98:2 and 90:10.
