To provide hollow particles excellent in performance stability in a high-humidity environment and low in relative permittivity. Hollow particles which comprise a shell containing a resin and a hollow portion surrounded by the shell, wherein the shell contains, as the resin, a polymer in which from 70 parts by mass to 100 parts by mass of a crosslinkable monomer unit is contained in 100 parts by mass of all monomer units; wherein a void ratio is 60% or more; wherein a content of a surfactant present on a surface of the hollow particles is 200 ppm or less; and wherein a relative permittivity at a frequency of 1 MHz is 1.6 or less.

Provided are a method for producing a negatively-chargeable toner that has a narrow particle diameter distribution even when produced by a polymerization method, and a negatively-chargeable toner that is excellent in balance between low-temperature fixability and heat-resistant shelf stability, has fine thin-line reproducibility, and generates little fog, even in high-speed printing. The negatively-chargeable toner includes colored resin particles which contain at least a binder resin, a colorant, a charge control agent and a softening agent, wherein the charge control agent is a copolymer which is obtained by copolymerizing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon, a (meth)acrylate and a sulfonic acid group-containing (meth)acrylamide and in which a copolymerization ratio of the sulfonic acid group-containing (meth)acrylamide is 0.8 to 4.0% by mass, and wherein the softening agent is at least one of a monoester compound and a polyglycerol ester compound.

Method for producing a polymerized toner

A production process of a toner, wherein wet colored resin particles are poured into a rotary vane type agitating device having a structure that an agitating vane fixed to a rotating drive shaft extending through a bottom wall of an agitation vessel is arranged at a bottom of the agitation vessel, and at least one gas inlet port and at least one gas outlet port are arranged at a lower portion of the agitation vessel and an upper portion of the agitation vessel, respectively, the wet colored resin particles are dried by a method, in which the wet colored resin particles are agitated by the rotary vane within the agitation vessel while supplying a heated gas, thereby forming a fluidized bed, and a mixed gas containing water is discharged from the gas outlet port to the outside, and at that time, drying conditions are controlled in such a manner that the temperature of the gas discharged falls within a range from 20 to 60&#xb0; C.

Production process of toner

An object of the present invention is to provide a toner for developing electrostatic images, which prevents a decrease in toner charge amount in the environment of high temperature and high humidity, prevents occurrence of fog and has excellent flowability. Provided is a toner for developing electrostatic images, comprising an external additive and colored resin particles comprising a binder resin and a colorant, wherein the external additive is core-shell type complex fine particles in which resin fine particles are covered with at least one inorganic component selected from the group consisting of silica, alumina, titania and zirconia, and the volume ratio of the inorganic component of the core-shell type complex fine particles is 45 to 75% by volume when the total volume of the core-shell type complex fine particles is 100% by volume.

The present invention is to provide a method for producing a toner capable of sufficiently decreasing the percentage of moisture content of a wet cake in the process of obtaining colored resin particles in wet state (wet cake), capable of reducing the workload in the following drying process, and thus excellent in productivity. A method for producing a toner comprising the steps of: a process of obtaining an aqueous dispersion of colored resin particles by forming colored resin particles by a wet method; a process of obtaining the colored resin particles in wet state (wet cake) by supplying the aqueous dispersion of the colored resin particles to a belt filter and performing solid-liquid separation; and a process of drying the wet cake, wherein a filter cloth continuous running type belt filter is used as the belt filter in the process of obtaining the wet cake, and the filter cloth continuous running type belt filter has a separation-washing mechanism, in which the aqueous dispersion of the colored resin particles is supplied on a lower filter cloth of the belt filter, the colored resin particles are separated followed by washing, and thus the wet cake is formed, and a pressure-ventilation mechanism, in which the wet cake is covered with an upper filter cloth, the wet cake, disposed between the upper and lower filter cloths, is ventilated while pressure is applied to the wet cake, and thus the wet cake having low percentage of moisture content is obtained.

A production method of a toner includes a suspension process in which a polymerizable monomer composition is dispersed in an aqueous dispersion medium; and a polymerization process in which suspension polymerization is performed with the suspension in the presence of a polymerization initiator to obtain colored resin particles.
