A motor includes a rotary shaft and a motor housing internally housing the rotary shaft. The motor housing is provided with a mounting hole in a position corresponding to an end of the rotary shaft. A detection rotor is fixed to the end of the rotary shaft. A detection stator includes a detection part made of resin into a plate-like shape having a surface on which a planar coil is placed, an outer peripheral wall axially extending from an outer circumferential edge of the detection part, and a flange radially extending from the outer peripheral wall. The detection stator is placed so that a surface of the detection part faces the detection rotor and the surface of the detection part faces to the inside of the motor housing in the mounting hole, and fixed to outside of the motor housing with a screw to the flange.

Detection stator, rotation detector and mounting structure thereof

An angle sensor includes a sensor rotor formed with a planar coil and a sensor stator including a multi-X type planar coil placed to face a surface of the sensor rotor. On a stator substrate of the sensor stator are provided forward-direction planar coils and reverse-direction planar coils, and positive and negative terminals adjacently arranged. The forward-direction and reverse-direction planar coils are connected in series through connecting wires. One of both ends of the series-connected planar coils is connected to the positive terminal through the wire and the other end is connected to the negative terminal through the wire. The wires are arranged along arrangement of the series-connected planar coils but in a range less than a full circle of the arrangement. A turn-back connecting wire extending from one end of the series of planar coils is arranged along the other connecting wire and connected to the negative terminal.

Angle sensor

A fuel property determining apparatus may comprise a first sensor and second sensor. The first sensor may detect a concentration of an alcohol contained in fuel. The second sensor may detect a vapor pressure of the target fuel. The fuel property determining apparatus may further comprise a memory and a processor. The memory may store first data for determining a 'heavy/light gravity&#x2014;vapor pressure' relationship based on the concentration of the alcohol. The processor may determine the fuel property of the target fuel based on the first data stored in the memory, the alcohol concentration detected by the first sensor, and the vapor pressure detected by the second sensor.

Fuel property determining apparatus

A butterfly valve comprises a valve shaft placed across a flow passage and a plate-like valve element provided on the valve shaft so as to be rotatable about the valve shaft to regulate a flow rate of fluid in the flow passage. The valve element has a section that gradually decreases in thickness from the valve shaft toward an outer edge in a direction nearly perpendicular to the valve shaft. The valve element further includes a plurality of inclined surfaces on each side so that the corresponding inclined surfaces on both sides of the valve element are identical in section in a direction parallel to the valve shaft. The valve element is provided on each side with a plurality of flow straightening ribs each extending in a direction perpendicular to the valve shaft and inclining along each inclined surface.

A system having a screw structure includes a casing and a self-tapping screw. The casing includes a through hole. The self-tapping screw includes a male thread portion and an unthreaded column portion arranged relative to each other in a longitudinal direction of the self-tapping screw, and is threadably coupled to the casing through the through hole. The through hole includes a large diameter hole portion and a small diameter hole portion. The large diameter hole portion is engaged with the male thread portion. The small diameter hole portion is engaged with the unthreaded column portion. The large diameter hole portion has a longitudinal length shorter than a longitudinal length of the unthreaded column portion.

A throttle body () includes a throttle casing () and a motor casing (). The throttle casing has a first main body () and a throttle valve () disposed within the first main body. The first main body is made of resin. The motor casing () has a second main body () and a motor () disposed within the second main body. The first main body and the second main body are formed separately from each other and are connected to each other via a joint device ().

Throttle bodies with throttle valves actuated by motors

An intake device for an internal combustion engine includes a throttle body () that forms an intake passage (). A throttle valve () is arranged within the intake passage. A pipe member () is connected to the throttle body, wherein the pipe member forms a communication passage () communicating with the intake passage. An engagement device () is provided between the throttle body and the pipe member. The engagement device includes at least one engagement protrusion () and at least one engagement recess (M). When the engagement protrusion and the engagement recess are engaged with each other, detachment of the throttle body and the pipe member from each other is restricted. The assembly process is simplified by a lack of separate components such as clamps and bolts, relying instead upon a typical snap-fit connection.

Intake device for an internal combustion engine

A throttle body comprising a main body defining a cylindrical intake air channel and including a valve member movable between an open and a fully closed position. The valve seal surface and a contact surface are configured such that the valve seal surface sealingly contacts with the corresponding contact surface when a fully closed position of the valve has been displaced due to contraction of one of the main body and the valve member. The valve seal surface and the contact surface of the valve member in the fully closed position are inclined by an angle. The contact angle of inclination gradually decreases from a first point located on a circumference of the periphery of the valve member resulting from a line perpendicular to an intersection of the central axis and the rotation axis to a second point that is proximate to the rotation axis of the valve member.

Throttle bodies and methods of manufacturing such throttle bodies

A throttle device includes a throttle body () and a cover () adapted to be mounted to the throttle body. A coupling device () includes a first engaging portion () disposed on one of the throttle body and the cover and a second engaging portion () disposed on the other of the throttle body and the cover. The first and second engaging portions are engageable with each other when the throttle body and the cover is moved toward each other in a first direction, so that the throttle body and the cover are prevented from moving away from each other in a second direction opposite to the first direction. Means () is provided for preventing accidental or unauthorized intentional access to the first or second engaging portions in order to disengage the first and second engaging portions.

Throttle device with cover for internal elements

A throttle control device includes a throttle body (). In the throttle body, an intake passage (), a first space (), and a second space () are formed. In the intake passage, a throttle valve () is rotatably arranged. The throttle valve is rotated by a motor (). The motor is accommodated in the first space. The second space communicates with the first space. In addition, the second space is adjacent to the intake passage through the intermediation of a wall portion (). This makes it possible for the heat generated in the motor to be effectively dissipated from the first space into the intake passage via the second space and the wall portion.

Throttle control heat dissipation device

Provided is a throttle control device having a throttle body () forming an intake passage () inside the throttle body. A throttle valve () is rotatably arranged in the intake passage. A motor () rotates the throttle valve. The motor has a motor casing (), which has one axial end portion and the other axial end portion. A first support device () fixedly supports one axial end portion of the motor casing with respect to the throttle body. A second support device () supports the other axial end portion of the motor casing with respect to the throttle body resiliently in the radial direction of the motor. Motor driven throttle control device and method of mounting motor thereto

A throttle control device has a throttle body (TB) in which an intake passage () is formed. A throttle valve () is rotatably arranged within the intake passage. A motor () rotates the throttle valve. The throttle body has a gear accommodating chamber (), in which is arranged gear mechanism (). The gear mechanism transmits the rotation of the motor to the throttle valve, and has at least one gear (). A shaft () rotatably supports the gear. The shaft is a unitary member formed integrally on a wall surface () of the gear accommodating chamber in a cantilever fashion. The shaft may have first shaft portion () formed integrally on first wall surface () of the gear accommodating chamber in a cantilever fashion and second shaft portion () formed integrally on a second wall surface () of the gear accommodating chamber in a cantilever fashion.

Throttle control device

A throttle body has a main body made of resin. A throttle valve, a motor, and a gear mechanism, are disposed within the main body, so that the rotation of the motor is transmitted to the throttle valve via the gear mechanism. The gear mechanism includes a drive gear, mounted to an output shaft of the motor, and an intermediate gear disposed between the drive gear and the throttle valve. A metal plate is mounted to a motor casing of the motor and the intermediate gear is mounted to the metal plate. The interface between the intermediate gear and the throttle valve is adjustable.
