Roller for in-furnace conveyance

The present invention relates to the providing of a rolling mill that makes it possible to more accurately control the shape of a plate material than has hitherto been possible, and to a rolling method, and is a rolling mill that rolls a plate material using vertical work rolls, and that includes: a coolant jet spray unit that has a plurality of nozzles that are arranged at predetermined intervals in the direction of the rotation axis of the work rolls, and that sprays jets of coolant from the respective nozzles onto the work rolls; a roll temperature estimation unit that estimates a mean temperature of the work rolls; a coolant temperature detection unit that detects a temperature of the coolant; a shape detection unit that detects the shape in the width direction of the rolled plate material; a shape deviation calculation unit that calculates an amount of deviation between a plate material shape detected by the shape detection unit and a target shape; and a shape control unit that controls the shape of the plate material by controlling the spray quantity and/or temperature of the coolant which is sprayed from the coolant jet spray unit based on a difference between the mean temperature of the work rolls and the temperature of the coolant, and on the amount of deviation between the plate material shape and the target shape.

Rolling mill and rolling method

The present disclosure relates to a hot rolling apparatus for manufacturing a metal plate by hot-rolling-treating a metal material including copper. The apparatus includes: a rough rolling device for rolling-treating the metal material, which has been heating-treated, a plurality of times with a back-and-forth movement of the metal material, to mold the metal material into a metal plate; a heat retention/application treatment device for retaining heat of or applying heat to the metal plate molded by the rough rolling device at lower temperatures than in the heating treatment, without applying bending; a finish rolling device for further rolling-treating the metal plate that has been heat-treated by the heat retention/application treatment device; a cooling device for cooling the metal plate that has been rolling-treated by the finish rolling device; and a support table for movably supporting the metal plate from below before and after the rough rolling device while the metal material is moved back and forth by the rough rolling device. According to the present disclosure, it is possible to improve the quality of the metal plate manufactured in the hot rolling apparatus, and also to improve the speed of the process required for rolling.

Hot rolling apparatus

A conveying device includes a plurality of conveying rollers supported in parallel at predetermined intervals, and conveys a workpiece to a heat-retaining/heating furnace from a rolling mill by the conveying rollers. The conveying device includes an impact prediction data collecting unit and a control unit. The impact prediction data collecting unit acquires data on the upstream of the heat-retaining/heating furnace. The data is used to predict the magnitude of an impact applied to rollers in the furnace, which are positioned in the heat-retaining/heating furnace, of the conveying rollers by the workpiece. The control unit predicts the magnitude of an impact from the data, which is acquired by the impact prediction data collecting unit, and adjusts the conveying speed of the workpiece in the heat-retaining/heating furnace according to the magnitude of the impact.

Conveying device, hot rolling apparatus, conveying method, and hot rolling method

A rolling mill, including: a casting device that casts molten metal to form a slab with a predetermined width; a pair of finishing milling rolls that shape the slab by rolling; and a movement device capable of moving the finishing milling rolls along respective axis directions thereof, in which a contour of a peripheral surface of each of the finishing milling rolls has a shape in which a first contour and a second contour are overlapped, the first contour including: edge regions with a shape in accordance with an average value of thickness variation in edge portions so as to make uniform a rolling reduction in a width direction for the slab with an edge thickness equal to the average value; and a central region that is interposed between the edge regions, and the second contour including edge regions which have an inclination angle steeper with respect to the axis direction than a central region so that the distance between facing edge portions of one of the pair of finishing milling rolls and the other of the pair of finishing milling rolls changes when the finishing milling rolls are moved by the movement device in opposite directions.

Rolling mill

This invention relates to a rolling mill apparatus and a method of shape control of a rolled strip which enables satisfactory shape control even in extremely thin rolling. A rolling mill apparatus of this invention has a rolling mill, which rolls a rolled strip P between upper and lower work rolls; a shape detecting portion, which detects the degree of flatness of the rolled strip in the width direction of rolled strip which has been rolled by the rolling mill; a spray portion, having a plurality of spray nozzles arranged along the length direction of the upper and lower work rolls, which sprays the upper and lower work rolls with coolant C; and, a shape control portion, which adjusts the spray amount and/or temperature of the coolant C sprayed from the spray portion based on detected information from the shape detecting portion, to control the shape of the rolled strip P. The shape control portion has two control modes, in which the relationship of the detected information of the shape detecting portion and the spray amount and/or temperature of the coolant C sprayed from the spray portion are inversely proportional, and switches between these two control modes based on the strip thickness of the rolled strip P.

Rolling mill apparatus and method of shape control of rolled strip and plate

Even when a cell electrode plate with broader width is press formed to enhance bulk density of electrode active material, it is made possible to positively and reliably provide a high-quality cell electrode plate with good productivity. From upstream to downstream in a travel direction of a cell electrode plate including a core member with electrode active material applied thereon, an uncoiler, a tension applicator, a four-high mill type roll press device, a thickness detector, a tension applicator and a coiler are arranged in the order named.

Arranged are a twin- or single-roll continuous casting machine supplied with molten metal from a tundish arranged above so as to continuously cast a strip with a predetermined width, a trimmer arranged downstream of the continuous casting machine to trim widthwise edges of the strip and a rolling mill arranged downstream of the trimmer.

The rolling mill comprises a pair of work rolls for rolling a plate material in the thickness direction, a guide for guiding the leading end of the plate material between the work rolls, and a rolling oil supply member for supplying rolling oil between the work rolls through a rolling oil passage formed within the guide. The rolling mill further comprises a temperature adjusted oil passage formed within the guide separately from the rolling oil passage, and a temperature adjusted oil supply member for applying temperature adjusted oil having a different temperature from the rolling oil to the work rolls through the temperature adjusted oil passage so as to control the crown rate of the work rolls, improving the controllability of the crown rate of the work roll.

A high-quality hot rolled steel sheet is manufactured with a high production efficiency and a low cost, from a long, hot slab, using a combination of continuous casting facilities and a plate reduction press machine.

Apparatus and methods for manufacturing hot rolled steel sheets

There are provided an even number of paired roll-shift type rolling mills 12a, 12b and a controller 16 for controlling the rolling mills 12a, 12b. Each of upper and lower work rolls 13 of each of the roll-shift type rolling mills has a predetermined crown curve and has a roll shifting mechanism 14 for axially shifting the upper and lower work rolls relative to each other. The controller 16 determines a shift amount of each rolling mill in order to obtain a predetermined cross section shape of a steel plate, shifts the work rolls of the rolling mill on the upstream side paired every rolling coil to thereby disperse wear on the roll surface, and moves the work rolls of the rolling mill on the downstream side of the pair in a predetermined direction by the same distance, thereby canceling the change in the cross section shape of the plate caused by the shifting operation for the wear dispersion.

Hot tandem rolling mill

The rolling mill includes upper and lower work rolls, a roll bending apparatus for applying a bending force to the upper and lower work rolls, a roll shifter for axially shifting the upper and lower work rolls in opposite directions, and a back-up roll for supporting the upper and lower work rolls. The upper and lower work rolls have a bus having a contour comprising first to fifth regions. The rolling mill is adapted to have the large changability of plate crown effected by the roll shifting on plates with narrow or intermediate widths. The use of a combination of roll shifting and roll bending causes contours of the upper and lower work rolls to overlap deflection of the upper and lower work rolls, resulting in that a smooth roll diameter profile across the width of the plate to be rolled where the upper and lower work rolls contact the plate. Thus, it is possible to minimize the difference in a roll diameter, and to enhance the plate crown controllability, even for a plate having an intermediate or narrow width.

Method for rolling a plate and rolling mill both using roll shift and

A rolling mill includes a roll barrel having a straight region disposed at the middle thereof, sub-crown control regions disposed at both ends thereof, and main-crown control regions disposed between the straight region and the sub-crown control regions. The roll barrel has an outer surface having a bus bar which is a straight line inclined to a longitudinal axis of the roll barrel in the straight region, steep convex and concave curved shapes in the main-crown control regions, and gentle convex and concave curved shapes in the sub-crown control regions. The roll barrel has both ends having a diameter approximately equal to each other. The roll provides a large degree of freedom in designing curves to be applied to an outer surface of a roll barrel with the result that a larger crown control can be performed, and has a small number of factors for a vibration of a plate. The roll shift type rolling mill in accordance with the invention decreases an irregularity in plate thickness distribution at ends of a plate even when a plate having a width larger than specific maximum plate width is to be rolled.
