A drive device includes a motor and an inverter. A motor axis is parallel to an output axis. The inverter is located in a second direction orthogonal to a first direction with respect to the motor axis and extends in a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions. When viewed from the first direction, a virtual straight line passing through the axes extends in the third direction. An inverter housing portion overlaps the axes when viewed from the second direction, and has a boundary wall on the virtual straight line side in the second direction. In the second direction, a distance between the boundary wall and the output axis is smaller than a distance between the boundary wall and the motor axis. A motor side connection portion has a portion closer to the side opposite to the output axis than the motor axis in the third direction.

Drive device

A stator includes a stator core, three-phase coils, three external terminals, and three busbars. Each of the three-phase coils has a first coil end protruding from the radially outermost side of a slot to a first side in the axial direction of the stator core. Each of the three bus bars includes a busbar body portion extending in a circumferential direction of the stator core, a busbar connection portion extending toward the first side in the axial direction, and an external terminal connection portion extending outward in the radial direction and connected to the external terminal. The first coil end extends in the radial direction through between the busbar body portion and the stator core in the axial direction, extends toward the first side in the axial direction on a radially outer side of the busbar body portion, and has a tip connected to the busbar connection portion from the radially outer side.

Stator, motor, and method for manufacturing stator

A motor includes a rotor configured to rotate about a central axis extending in an up-down direction, a stator located radially outside the rotor, a bracket located above the stator, a circuit board held by the bracket and disposed along a plane perpendicular to an axial direction, and a bus bar held by the bracket and connected to the circuit board at a terminal connection portion. The bracket includes a board support portion supporting the circuit board from below, and a wall portion protruding upward to be higher than the board support portion and surrounding the circuit board. The wall portion has a cutout portion extending downward from an upper end of the wall portion.

Motor

A stator includes a stator core disposed about a central axis and covered by an insulator, coils installed on the stator core through the insulator, and an intermediate bus bar electrically connected to a portion of a conducting wire constituting the coils. A method of manufacturing a stator includes a mounting process, a winding process, and a connecting process. An intermediate bus bar is supported at a first position spaced apart from a coil in an axial direction in a mounting portion before the start of the winding process. The intermediate bus bar is fixed at a second position between the first position and the coils in the axial direction after the completion of the winding process.

Stator manufacturing method and motor

A motor includes a rotor including a shaft centered on a vertically extending center axis, a stator radially opposite to the rotor and including coils, a bearing supporting the shaft, and a bus bar assembly on an upper side in an axial direction of the stator. The bus bar assembly includes bus bars including a terminal portion connected to a lead wire drawn out from the coil and a bus bar holder holding the bus bars. The terminal portion includes a slit which extends axially downward and into which the lead wire is fitted. The width of the slit is narrower than the diameter of the lead wire.

A rotor includes a rotor core including laminated thin plate cores. A single thin plate core includes an inner plate portion defining a portion of an inner core portion and outer plate portions defining a portion of an outer core portion. At least some of the laminated thin plate cores include a connecting portion. A number of connecting portion is one or a plurality, and, when the number of connecting portions is a plurality, the connecting portions at positions other than both left and right sides of each other in a circumferential direction, and, in plan view, the thin plate core includes the connecting portion at a position different from that of a connecting portion in another thin plate core adjacent in an axial direction.

Rotor, motor, and rotor manufacturing method

A motor includes a magnet rotating together with a rotor about a central axis, a substrate on which a sensor to detect a position of the magnet is installed, a housing to hold a stator to drive the rotor, a bearing assembly including a bearing holder, and a conductor assembly between the housing and the bearing assembly. The conductor assembly includes a conductor including a first conductor electrically connected to the sensor through the substrate and a conductor holder covering the conductor. The substrate is fixed to the conductor holder. In the radial direction, a gap is located between an outer side surface of the bearing holder and an inner side surface of the conductor holder, and at least a portion of the magnet is located in the gap.

A motor includes a rotor including a shaft centered on a vertically extending center axis, a stator radially opposite to the rotor and including coils, a bearing supporting the shaft, and a bus bar unit on an upper side in an axial direction of the stator. The bus bar unit includes bus bars including a terminal portion connected to a lead wire drawn out from the coil and a bus bar holder holding the bus bars. The terminal portion includes a slit which extends axially downward and into which the lead wire is fitted. The width of the slit is narrower than the diameter of the lead wire.

A stator includes core pieces in which at least first and second laminate members are laminated, the first laminate member includes a first tooth portion and a first core back portion, the second laminate member includes a second tooth portion and a second core back portion, the first core back portion includes a first protrusion on one side thereof in a circumferential direction and a first recess on the other side thereof in the circumferential direction, the second core back portion includes a second recess on one side thereof in a circumferential direction and a second protrusion on the other side thereof in the circumferential direction, and an area of a region in which the first and second core back portions of the core piece adjacent thereto overlap in a lamination direction is greater than a circumferential cross-sectional area of the first core back portion circumferentially inward from the first protrusion.

A manufacturing method comprising: a process Sof forming a plate member which has a substantially annular scrap portion having a center hole through an axial direction and a core plate portion defining a portion of the core pieces arranged continuously with the scrap portion on a radially inner side of the scrap portion; a process Sof forming a laminated body, which has the core pieces, by laminating the plate member; a process Sof providing the laminated body and the shaft in a mold; a process Sof forming a molding body by inserting a molten resin or a nonmagnetic material in the mold and forming the filling portion of which at least a portion is located between the core pieces; and a process Sof separating the scrap portion and the core plate portion.

Manufacturing method of rotor core, manufacturing method of rotor, rotor and motor

A stator includes core pieces in which at least first and second laminate members are laminated, the first laminate member includes a first tooth portion and a first core back portion, the second laminate member includes a second tooth portion and a second core back portion, the first core back portion includes a first protrusion on one side thereof in a circumferential direction and a first recess on another side thereof in the circumferential direction, the second core back portion includes a second recess on one side thereof in a circumferential direction and a second protrusion on the other side thereof in the circumferential direction, and an area of a region in which the first core back portion and the second core back portion of the core piece adjacent thereto overlap in a lamination direction is greater than a circumferential cross-sectional area of the first core back portion circumferentially inward from the first protrusion.

A stator includes conductive wires wound around teeth, and slots between adjacent teeth in a circumferential direction. The conductive wires include conductive wires of three phases corresponding to a U-phase, a V-phase, and a W-phase, and the conductive wires are delta connected. Coils, in which any one of the conductive wires is wound around the teeth, are repeatedly disposed in order of the U-phase, the V-phase, and the W-phase in the circumferential direction. In each of the U-phase, the V-phase, and the W-phase, at least two coils are connected in series and adjacent in the circumferential direction. A direction in which the U-phase and W-phase conductive wires are wound around the teeth and a direction in which the V-phase conductive wire is wound around the tooth are opposite.

A case includes a cylindrical housing arranged to hold a stator, and having an opening portion at a top thereof; and a motor cover fitted to an upper side of the housing, and arranged to cover an upper side of the stator. A busbar unit includes a sensor busbar electrically connected to a rotation sensor, and a busbar holder arranged at the opening portion to hold the sensor busbar. The case includes a case through hole arranged to open into a space outside of the case. The busbar holder includes a cylindrical holder body portion having at least a portion thereof arranged radially inside of the opening portion; and a protruding portion arranged to protrude out of the case, and having at least a portion thereof arranged in the case through hole. A gap is defined circumferentially between the protruding portion and an edge of the case through hole.

Motor including sensor unit with improved detection

A stator portion includes a stator and a bus bar member. The stator includes three coil groups, each coil group includes two or more coils defined by a single conducting wire including a jumper wire. The bus bar member includes three first bus bars to which end portions on one side of the conducting wires of the three coil groups are connected, each of which includes an external connection terminal, a second bus bar defining a neutral point to which end portions on the other side of the conducting wires are connected, and a resin holder which retains the three first bus bars and the second bus bar. The three first bus bars and the second bus bar overlap only in a radial direction centered on the central axis or an axial direction, and the maximum number of bus bars which overlap is 2.

Stator portion and motor

In a busbar unit, which is a distributing device arranged to supply electrical currents to coils, a busbar holder is arranged to support coil connection busbars and sensor connection busbars. Conductor wire connection portions of the coil connection busbars are exposed on both axial sides and welded to a conductor wire defining the coils. The sensor connection busbars are combined with a plurality of electronic components to define a Hall IC circuit designed to output and receive electrical signals to or from Hall ICs. Sensor connection portions of the sensor connection busbars are exposed on both axial sides, and welded to terminals of the Hall ICs. Electronic component connection portions of the sensor connection busbars are exposed on both axial sides, and welded to the electronic components.
