Provided is a variable-capacity compressor control valve that is compact and is capable of suppressing the influence of the pressure difference between the crank chamber pressure Pc, the suction pressure Ps, and the like. A valve body includes an in-valve release passage for releasing a pressure Pc in a crank chamber to a suction chamber of a compressor via a Ps inlet/outlet port. A sub valve element adapted to open or close the in-valve release passage along with movement of the plunger is provided.

Provided is a variable-capacity compressor control valve that can secure the attraction force of an electromagnetic actuator and can improve the actuation property without increasing the body size. A sub valve element or a cylindrical upper end portion thereof, which is a magnetic body made of the same magnetic material as or a different magnetic material from that of a plunger, is fixed to the inner periphery of the upper end portion of the plunger that is opposite an attractor.

Provided is a variable-capacity compressor control valve with a simple configuration that can increase the attraction force of an electromagnetic actuator and thus can reduce the size of the control valve. A sub valve element that is a magnetic body made of the same magnetic material as or a different magnetic material from that of a plunger, which is adapted to move a main valve element in the direction to open or close the valve orifice, is fitted in and fixed to the plunger.

Provided is a variable-capacity compressor control valve that can suppress a decrease in the efficiency by reducing the amount of leakage in the valve without requiring severe accuracy of the components, avoid possible operation failures, and suppress the influence on the sliding resistance as well as the influence on the control characteristics. A main valve element of a valve element or a valve body is provided with a flexible or elastic sealing member. The sealing member is adapted to, when the valve orifice is closed by the main valve element, abut an end portion on the higher pressure side in a gap between sliding surfaces that is formed between the main valve element and a guide hole into which the main valve element is adapted to be slidably fitted and inserted, and thus seal the gap between the sliding surfaces.

An apparatus for recording and/or reproducing digital signals, such as PCM signals, as plural slanted tracks on a magnetic tape, includes a memory, first and second heads, a detection unit and a control unit. The memory stores the digital signals entering a terminal. The first head records the digital signals entering the terminal along with input address information. The second head is positioned on the downstream side of the first head in the running direction of the magnetic tape. The second head reads out the digital signals recorded on the magnetic tape by the first head along with the address information. The detection unit detects whether or not there is any error in the signal read out by the second head. If the signal read out by the second head contains an error, the control unit manages control for holding on memory data containing the address information read out by the second head along with the digital signal associated with the address information and which is adapted to be supplied to the first head.

In a recording apparatus having a digital signal input which can record such digital signal on a recording medium, when a condition of the input signal changes during the recording operation the recording apparatus is automatically set into a recording pause mode and such operating mode is indicated to the operator. When the condition of the input signal is stabilized within a predetermined period of time during such recording pause mode, the recording medium is automatically rewound and the recording apparatus is then released from the recording pause mode and recording commences at a location on the record medium so as to record over any previously recorded unstable signal.

A record player is equipped with a tonearm control which enables the record player to perform an automatic music search, that is, the pickup device of the tone arm may be automatically controlled to be set down at the beginning of a selected song. It may happen that the center of the record is slightly displaced from the center of the turntable, so that different angular segments of the recorded tracks lie at different radial distances from the turntable center. The present tonearm control compensates for this by detecting the radial and angular position of the beginning of the selected song and by setting down the pickup device at this position. The radial position of the beginning of each song is measured along a radial reference detection line while the turntable is at rest at an initial angular position. Then, while the turntable is rotating, the tone arm is moved across the record until the pickup device reaches the measured radial position of the beginning of the selected song. The angular position of the turntable relative to its initial position is detected, and the tone arm control determines the moment of set down so that the record rotates just enough to bring the reference detection line to the angular position of the pickup device. Therefore, the pickup device is set down at the angular position on the record at which the radial position of the beginning of the song was measured. The result is that play starts at the beginning of the song even when the eccentricity of the record causes the tracks to be off center.
