A light emitting device has a mount with a protruding portion that has an element mounting surface on which a light emitting element is mounted and a first lead and a second lead are exposed. The light emitting element has a first electrode and a second electrode that are electrically connected to the first lead and the second lead, respectively.

Light emitting device and LCD backlighting device

In an LED lamp, a copper film is first formed on a substrate by plating. A resist is then bonded onto the copper film so that shaped like a ring viewed from the whole of the LED lamp. A nickel and a gold film are formed on a portion of the copper film where the resist is not bonded. Next, an adhesive agent is applied onto a bottom of the lamp house so that the lamp house is bonded onto the substrate through the adhesive agent. A transparent epoxy resin is packed in the frame of the lamp house and hardened by heating to perform resin sealing. Since the resist is bonded onto the surface of copper having a large number of fine irregularities sufficient to ensure a large contact area and excellent in adhesion, separation can be prevented from being caused by thermal stress.

A light-emitting device has two light-emitting element. In a substrate portion of the light-emitting device having a first internal positive electrode connected to the positive electrode side of a first light-emitting element, a first internal negative electrode connected to the negative electrode side of the first light-emitting element, a second internal positive electrode connected to the positive electrode side of a second light-emitting element, and a second internal negative electrode connected to the negative electrode side of the second light-emitting element, these electrodes are provided so that homopolar electrodes are disposed diagonally.

Light-emitting device

A light source device has a light shielding member having an aperture, a light source arranged on one side of the light shielding member, and a converging member arranged relatively with respect to the light source and the light source to thereby converge light emitted from the light source in the aperture or in a vicinity of the aperture. Another type of light source device has a single light source, and a converging member for converging light from the light source to thereby distribute the light to at least two points. Still another type of light source device has a light source, and a reflecting mirror arranged to enclose a side of a light emission direction of the light source, the reflecting mirror reflecting light emitted from the light source in a direction except the light source so that the light is radiated outside.

Light source device

Provided a vehicle exterior lamp capable of illuminating the ground surrounding a vehicle. When returning to a predetermined position of a parking lot, a road or the like where a vehicle has been parked, a switch of a transmitter is operated. By doing so, the vehicle is illuminated in a predetermined color and a selected mode, and the vicinity of a door of the vehicle is illuminated by this light, so that the condition of the ground can be confirmed. Particularly, the color of the light, emitted from a light-emitting source, can be arbitrarily set, and the setting can be made, taking the brightness and the saving of the energy into consideration. Even if discriminating information, such as a code, is not provided between the transmitter and a receiver, the color of the illumination of the vehicle can be discriminated from that of other vehicles.

Vehicle exterior lamp

An LED display device has an indicator having a housing. The housing has at least one incident portion which receives light from at least one LED. The incident portion has a reflection surface at its inside surface. LEDs emit light from one side or one longitudinal end of the incident portion. A refraction plate may be provided to direct emission of the incident light for viewing by a user.

Light-driven display device

A photo-catalyzer for deodorizing, cleaning, sterilizing, and water purifying operations includes a substrate, a titanium dioxide film disposed on the substrate and functioning as a photo-catalyst, and a light-emitting diode disposed adjacent to the titanium dioxide film and producing ultraviolet light having a wavelength from 360 to 400 nm onto the titanium dioxide film. The photo-catalyzer can be used in places where there is no sunlight because it is optionally provided with a light-emitting diode. The light-emitting diode does not require a large installation space because it is an extremely small light-emitting device. Hence, the photo-catalyzer has a compact structure and can be used easily anywhere, including small places. The substrate can be fabricated into a variety of useful appliances to take advantage of the strong oxidizing properties of the photo-catalyzer. Devices comprising a photo-catalyzer may be used for deodorizing, destroying or repelling micro-organisms, and including undertaking air or water purification.
