A washing and dehydrating machine includes a circulating passage communicating between interior and exterior of a water tub, warm air generating unit rendering air in the passage warm, an overflow outlet located in the water tub surface, so that water flows through the overflow outlet when a water level in the water tub is increased to or above a level, a drain conduit introduced outside the machine via a drain valve, through which water in the water tub is discharged, an overflow conduit having a lower end connected to the drain valve and communicating with the overflow outlet, and air stopping unit located in the overflow conduit and including a trap cutting off air flow and a water supply unit supplying water to the trap, allowing water to pass through and stopping air flow. The overflow conduit is introduced outside the machine via the air stopping unit.

Washing and drying machine

A drum type washing-drying machine includes an air supply opening and an air discharge opening both located in a water tub, a circulation path having both ends connected to the air supply opening and the air discharge opening respectively, and branch paths located between a part of the circulation path where the condenser is located and the air supply opening and/or extending in another part of the circulation path between the evaporator and the air discharge opening. Either air supply or discharge opening is located in an upper part of the water tub front. The circulation path includes a heat exchange section where a condenser and an evaporator are disposed so as to be located below the water tub. The branch paths extend from either air supply or air discharge opening, through a periphery of the opening of the water tub front to the heat exchange section.

Drum type washing-drying machine

A clothes dryer includes a water tub, a rotating container located in the tub, a drive unit rotating the container, an air circulation blower circulating air in the tub, and a heat pump formed by circularly connecting an evaporator, a condenser, a compressor, a discharge airflow path leading to the outside of the clothes dryer, an airflow path switching unit switched so as to open the portion between the container and the evaporator in an airflow path in the drying operation, and to open the discharge airflow path in cooling a place where the clothes dryer is placed, an air inlet located in an upper wall between the evaporator and the condenser in the airflow path, an air discharge blower introducing air outside the airflow path from the air inlet to be passed through the evaporator, and a cooling device that cools down the condenser.

Clothes dryer

A drum washing machine has a suspension for supporting a water tub for vibration proof. The suspension includes a cylindrical bearing support, a pair of bearings fixed in the bearing support, a shaft supported on the bearings so that the shaft is linearly reciprocated, a cylindrical friction member damping an amplitude of the water tub and disposed between the bearings so as to be immovable relative to the bearing support, and a lubricant applied between the shaft and the friction member. The friction member has both ends formed with abutment slant faces having outer diameters gradually reduced toward distal ends respectively. A pair of holding members are located in the bearing support for holding the ends of the friction member. Gaps are defined between the friction member and the holding members respectively. A plurality of lubricant reservoirs are defined in the respective gaps to reserve the lubricant.

Drum washing machine

A clothes dryer of the dehumidification type is disclosed in which hot air induced by a heater is circulated from a drying compartment through a heat exchanger. A volume, wetness, wetness unevenness, temperature, temperature unevenness of clothes to be dried and the temperature of the hot air blown out of the drying compartment are detected by respective detectors. Results of detection are input to a control device incorporating a neural network. The control device operates in the manner of neurocontrol to control a volume of outside air supplied to the heat exchanger and a heating value of the heater.

Clothes dryer with neurocontrol device

A thermal-transfer printer includes a carriage arranged for reciprocation along a recording paper and a thermal head movable together with the carriage. On the carriage is mounted a ribbon cassette having a pair of reels and repeatedly usable ink ribbon wound on the reels. The reels are rotated to transport the ink ribbon in a desired direction by a ribbon transport mechanism arranged in the carriage. The operation of the transport mechanism is controlled by a control device. The device includes a main control unit for supplying a transport control signal to the mechanism to drive the reels so that the ink ribbon is transported in the direction opposite to the moving direction of the thermal head during printing by the thermal head, and a take-up control signal output circuit for supplying a take-up control signal to the transport mechanism to drive the reels so that the starting end side of the ink ribbon is taken up for a predetermined length at the end of each printing in the advancing direction of the thermal head.

Thermal-transfer printer

A thermal transfer color printer according to the present invention thermal inkribbon having heat-fusible color materials in a plurality of colors divided in the feed direction, a thermal head which moves relative to a print paper in order to cause the selective thermal transfer of the color material on a thermal inkribbon onto the print paper, and a color sensor for detecting the types of color materials on the thermal inkribbon. The distance in the feed direction of the color material portions of the thermal inkribbon is set at one divided by an integral portion of the standard print width of the print paper, while the distance between the color sensor and the thermal head is set the same as the distance in the feed direction of the color materials portion of the thermal inkribbon. The thermal transfer color printer further comprises a ribbon feed mechanism which cause the feed action of the thermal inkribbon, a head movement mechanism which causes movement of the thermal head to the print position and the standby position, a carriage movement mechanism which causes the carriage on which the thermal head and the color sensor are mounted, to move relative to the print paper, and a control device for cooperatively controls the ribbon feed mechanism, the head movement mechanism, and the carriage movement mechanism based on the print data differentiated by the color material.

Thermal transfer color printer

An electrically heated pot for heating the keeping warm a liquid includes a vacuum container having a vacuum region formed between the outer surface of a cylindrical internal tank and the inner surface of an external tank. The internal tank has an opening at one end. A cylindrical reservoir tank for accomodating the liquid to be heated is removably located within the internal tank through the opening. The central portion of the reservoir tank is in close contact with the inner surface of the internal tank, while an end portion thereof opposite the opening is shaped to define with the internal tank a heater mounting room. A thermostatically controlled electric heater is mounted on the surface of the reservoir tank in the heater mounting room and is removable with the reservoir tank through the opening. A power supply wire connected to the heater is led to the outside of the vacuum container along the length of the reservoir tank to the outside of the container through the opening through a guide groove formed in either the inner surface of the internal tank or the outer surface of the reservoir tank or through a guide pipe passing through the reservoir tank. A handle frame removably holds the vacuum container and has a pivoted lid for closing the opening and a bellows pump is provided on the lid for pressurizing the reservoir tank for discharging heated liquid.

A balancer for use in a centrifugal rotary machine comprises an annular casing having inside an annular receiving chamber and equipped to the rotary tub coaxially therewith. A low-viscous operating liquid is sealed into the annular receiving chamber so as to be flowable in the circumferential direction of the chamber. The operating liquid flows, as the rotary tub rotates, to the side opposite to that on which the unbalanced load of the rotary tub is located absorb the unbalance of the rotary tub. A plurality of spherical weights are disposed circumferentially and movably in the annular receiving chamber and, as the rotary tub rotates, move to the side opposite to that on which the unbalanced load of the rotary tub is located to absorb the unbalance of the rotary tub.

Balancer for use in centrifugal rotary machine

A dryer wherein wet clothing placed in a drying chamber is dried by hot air resulting from the heat generated by an electric heater. The dryer comprises a ventilation fan which draws off air streams from the drying chamber and introduces the same amount of air streams as those thus removed into the drying chamber during a drying cycle. An amount of air streams ventilated by the ventilation fan is set at less than 1 m.sup.3 /min per kilowatt of the heat-generating capacity of the electric heater while the electric heater is operated.
