An electronic device has a storage unit that stores unit information relating to movement with respect to each of an elevating state and a horizontal movement state and an altitude measurement unit that measures a series of altitudes. An altitude change determination unit determines whether the movement is the elevating state or not using a first determination section having a first altitude range based on a first set of altitudes within the measured series of altitudes, and determines whether the movement is the horizontal movement state or not using a second determination section having a second altitude range smaller than the first altitude range and based on a second set of altitudes within the measured series of altitudes. A movement distance calculator reads from the storage unit the unit information corresponding to the state determined by the determination unit and calculates a movement distance based on the read unit information.

A semiconductor chip tray is provided that includes a support plate, a first protruding portion, a second protruding portion and a recess. The first protruding portion forms a housing space for a semiconductor chip by being provided on a top surface of the support plate. The second protruding portion is provided on a bottom surface of the support plate, and is fitted to an outer periphery of the first protruding portion of another semiconductor chip tray when the tray is stacked so as to overlap the other tray. The recess is provided on the bottom surface of the support plate. The recess faces a part of the first protruding portion of another chip tray when the tray is stacked so as to overlap the other tray. The recess is formed extending up to an outside of the first protruding portion from the housing space formed by the first protruding portion.

Semiconductor chip tray

A semiconductor wafer includes circuit integration regions each incorporating an integrated circuit and guard rings disposed to surround the circuit integration regions, respectively. A scribe region disposed between every adjacent two of the guard rings. An element and a pad electrically connected to the element are disposed in the scribe region. A groove is disposed along a corresponding guard ring on a front surface of the semiconductor wafer between the pad and the corresponding guard ring. The distance between the groove and the pad is varied along the corresponding guard ring.

A semiconductor device includes: a semiconductor chip having a main face which has a pair of long sides parallel to each other and a pair of short sides orthogonal to the pair of long sides; first bumps arrayed in a first bump placement region of the semiconductor chip, the first bump placement region being positioned along one of the pair of long sides; second bumps arrayed in a second bump placement region of the semiconductor chip, the second bump placement region being positioned along the other of the pair of long sides; first power lines disposed in a region between the first bump placement region and the second bump placement region, the first power lines extending in a direction parallel to the pair of long sides; and third bumps integrated on the semiconductor chip. Each of the third bumps provides short-circuiting of the first power lines.

Semiconductor device with bumps and display device module incorporating the same

A display device includes independently driven common and segment terminals. The common and segment terminals are connected to display components divided into display blocks that are turned ON to perform a display function and are turned OFF so as to not perform the display function. A first driver drives the common terminals using a scanning signal of a predetermined period and a second driver drives the segment terminals using a segment signal synchronized with the scanning signal to correspond to a display signal, so that the display components perform a display corresponding to the display signal. The first driver separates the common terminals into common terminal blocks and drives the common terminals. The first and second drivers perform the driving so that the common and segment terminals which are connected to display blocks that are turned OFF are not supplied with a turn-off signal and are maintained at ground potential.

A power supply unit has a first power supply circuit that supplies a voltage to a load driving unit and a second power supply circuit that supplies a voltage to circuits other than the load driving unit. A first switching unit connects any one of a power supply that supplies a power supply voltage and a voltage step-down circuit that supplies a step-down voltage of the power supply voltage to the first power supply circuit. A second switching unit connects any one of the power supply and the voltage step-down circuit to the second power supply circuit. A control unit controls the connection by the first switching unit and the connection by the second switching unit to switch the voltage supplied to the first power supply circuit and the voltage supplied to the second power supply circuit in accordance with properties of the load driving unit.

A solar cell electronic device includes a cover glass fitted into a case opening of an exterior case via a glass packing, and a solar panel disposed on the back face of the cover glass with a predetermined distance from the cover glass. The case opening has a base portion on the inner periphery thereof for mounting an outer peripheral portion of the cover glass and for positioning the solar panel in a plane direction. The glass packing includes a packing main body interposed between the case opening and the cover glass, and a flange portion that extends from an end on the base portion side of the packing main body and that is interposed between the cover glass and the base portion. A heartbeat measuring device has a measurement unit that measures a heart rate of a user, and an information storage unit that stores unique information regarding a heart rate unique to the user or information regarding a detected heartbeat of the user. A determination unit determines whether or not a heartbeat measurement state of the user is normal on the basis of the unique information or the information regarding a heartbeat stored in the information storage unit. An abnormality detection unit detects an abnormality corresponding to poor mounting of the heartbeat measuring device or interference due to external noise on the basis of a heart rate measured by the measurement unit. A notification unit performs a notification when the abnormality is detected by the abnormality detection unit. The notification unit changes information to be notified on the basis of a detection result by the abnormality detection unit.

Timepiece

An electronic apparatus comprises a case having a main surface and a side surface, and an operating member mounted on the side surface of the case for operating a switch function associated with the electronic apparatus. A substrate having a main surface and a side surface is disposed within the case. A printed wiring circuit is disposed on the main surface of the substrate. First and second conductive patterns are disposed in spaced relationship from each other on the side surfaces of the substrate and are connected to the printed wiring circuit. An elastic insulating member having first and second surfaces is disposed between the substrate and the operating member. A conducting element is fixedly attached to the first surface of the insulating member in facing and spaced apart relationship to the first and second conductive patterns. Upon depression of the operating member, the operating member contacts the second surface of the insulating member which undergoes flexure and moves the conducting element into contact with the first and second conductive patterns on the side surface of the substrate.
