A capacitor with a seat plate includes a capacitor main body and a seat plate that holds the capacitor main body. The capacitor main body includes a capacitor element, a case having an opening for housing the capacitor element, a sealing member that closes the opening of the case, and a plurality of lead terminals each penetrating the sealing member and the seat plate. The seat plate includes a heat dissipation member, and has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The heat dissipation member is exposed at the first surface and the second surface. The capacitor element is disposed at a side close to the second surface of the seat plate. The case is in contact with a region of the heat dissipation member. The region of the heat dissipation member is exposed at the second surface.

An electrolytic capacitor module includes a plurality of capacitor elements, an electrode lead, a sealing member, and a heat dissipation member. The electrode lead is electrically connected to each of the plurality of capacitor elements, and penetrates through the sealing member. The heat dissipation member has a plurality of housing portions that respectively house the plurality of capacitor elements. Further, the heat dissipation member has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. Each of the plurality of housing portions has an insertion opening opened in the first surface. The sealing member seals the insertion opening. The electrode lead is led out from the insertion opening.

Electrolytic capacitor module

An aluminum electrolytic capacitor having an excellent short-circuit resistance, high capacitance, long life, and low equivalent series resistance (ESR) is provided. For this purpose, the aluminum electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element having a positive electrode foil, a first separator, a negative electrode foil, and a second separator, which are sequentially laminated one on another and wound together. After the capacitor element is impregnated with a driving electrolyte solution and housed in a metallic case, an open end of the metallic case is sealed with a sealing material. A ratio of B/A, i.e. a ratio of total thickness B of the first and second separators after winding with respect to total thickness A of the first and second separators before winding, is set in the range from 0.5 to 0.8.

Aluminum electrolytic capacitor

The electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element and an electrolyte solution with which the capacitor element is impregnated. The capacitor element is composed of a positive electrode made of a valve metal, an etched negative electrode containing copper, and a separator disposed therebetween. This invention relates to an electrolyte for use in electrolytic capacitors and also to an electrolytic capacitor using the electrolyte. The solute for the electrolyte is a quaternary ammonium salt of either a carboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of phthalic acid, tetrahydrophthalic acid, hexahydrophthalic acid and maleic acid, or an alkyl or nitro-substituted compound of the acid. The electrolytic capacitor has improved low temperature characteristics and an improved variation in characteristics at high temperatures in relation to time with a prolonged life.

An electrolyte for driving electrolytic capacitors and electrolytic capacitors using the electrolyte are described. The electrolyte comprises at least one quaternary ammonium salt of aliphatic saturated dicarboxylic acid having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms in total or a quaternary ammonium salt of glutaric acid, dissolved in a solvent comprised of an aliphatic polyol. When applied to an electrolytic capacitor, the electrolyte ensures improvements in loss characteristic and high temperature characteristics with time. Thus, the capacitor has a prolonged life.
