A measuring device includes a measuring unit that measures the morphology of a convex portion, and a position fixing unit that includes an opening in which the convex portion is to be disposed and a fixing member which includes the opening at a center thereof and against which the periphery of the convex portion is to be pressed. The size of the opening of the position fixing unit is capable of being changed.

Measuring device

From a photosensitive material F, image data S is obtained together with the density Ds of the unexposed portion of the photosensitive material F. On the basis of this density Ds, the optimum characteristic curve for the photosensitive material F stored in the storing means is modified by modifying means to obtain a modified characteristic curve. In the storing means , a plurality of characteristic curves after the time lapse may be stored, and from these characteristic curves, a modified characteristic curve may be obtained. The modified characteristic curve is inputted to the transforming means , and on the basis of this, the image data S is transformed to provide processed image data S . The processed image data S is reproduced as a print image K by the printing means

Image processing method and device

An original image signal made up of a plurality of image signal components each representing a pixel of an original image is processed to suppress the granularity of the original image and enhance the sharpness of the original image, and a final processed image signal is obtained. Processing for suppressing granularity and processing for enhancing sharpness are carried out separately on the original image signal to obtain a granularity-suppressed image signal and a sharpness-enhanced image signal. At least one intermediate processed image signal is obtained by operation based on at least the granularity-suppressed image signal and the sharpness-enhanced image signal, and, as the image signal component for each pixel of the final processed image signal, the image signal component for the corresponding pixel of an image signal selected from the intermediate processed image signals and the original image signal is taken according to an indicator value calculated on the basis of the granularity-suppressed image signal, the sharpness-enhanced image signal and the original image signal.

Image processing method and system

Graininess suppression image processing is carried out on an original image signal, and a graininess suppression processing image signal is obtained from the graininess suppression image processing. Also, sharpness enhancement image processing is carried out on the original image signal, and a sharpness enhancement processing image signal is obtained from the sharpness enhancement image processing. Processing for obtaining a processed image signal is carried out in accordance with the graininess suppression processing image signal and the sharpness enhancement processing image signal. The processed image signal is obtained with operation processing carried out on image signal components of the graininess suppression processing image signal and the sharpness enhancement processing image signal, which image signal components represent corresponding pixels in two images represented by the graininess suppression processing image signal and the sharpness enhancement processing image signal.

Image processing method and apparatus

A radiographic intensifying screen is composed of a support, a phosphor layer containing phosphor and a surface protective layer overlaid in order. The surface protective layer shows a scattering length of 5 to 80 &mgr;m, in which the scattering length is measured at main wavelength of light emitted from the phosphor.
