A display which thickness is allowed to be reduced is provided. A display includes: a display panel; and a back-face member having rigidity and provided on a back face of the display panel, the back-face member covering the back face, or the back face and other part of the display panel.

Display

A display unit () includes a transparent plate () and a display body. The transparent plate has a first surface and a second surface that are opposite to each other, and is disposed to allow substantially an entire region of the first surface to be exposed. The transparent plate has a curved shape that is bent in an arc shape in a first direction. The display body is joined to side of the second surface of the transparent plate to follow the curved shape.

Display unit

There is provided a display device including: a display cell (); a surrounding member () provided around the display cell (); a cover film () provided on front side of the display cell () and the surrounding member (); a relay member () provided on rear side of the display cell () and the surrounding member (), and facing a margin between the display cell () and the surrounding member (); and an adhesive layer () provided between the display cell () and the relay member (), and between he surrounding member () and the relay member ().

A display includes: a display panel; a front-face member being provided on a front face of the display panel, and the front-face member covering a surrounding section, or the surrounding section and other part of the display panel; and a back-face member having rigidity and being provided on a back face of the display panel, the back-face member covering the back face, or the back face and other part of the display panel.

Provided is a display unit that includes: a display panel having a pair of substrates that are bonded to each other in a seal region along an outer edge of the display panel; a transparent plate facing the display panel; an optical film provided on a surface of the display panel which faces the transparent plate, and having an outer edge positioned over the seal region; and a resin layer sandwiched between the optical film and the transparent plate.

A display includes: a display panel; a front-face member being provided on a front face of the display panel, the front-face member covering a surrounding section, or the surrounding section and other part of the display panel; a back-face member being provided on a back face of the display panel, the back-face member covering the back face, or the back face and other part of the display panel; and an adhesion section adhering the back-face member and the front-face member to each other, the adhesion section covering a circumference section of the display panel.

A liquid crystal display device with a front face plate having a first section, a second section, and a third section is disclosed. The first section has a light transmissive section and the second section being a light shielding section. The third section may be arranged between the first section and the second section. The third section has a transmittance value which is lower than that of the first section and higher than that of the second section. A method for forming a front face plate assembly of a liquid crystal display device, which may include a front face plate, is also disclosed.
