A door operation controller for an elevator includes at least one sensor arranged in a doorway at a landing for detecting moving direction and/or moving speed of a person or an object in or near the doorway during a time period from when the elevator door is opened until when the elevator door is closed at the landing. The controller is configured to control door operation in response to the detection of a person's or object's movement in or near the doorway at the landing.

Door operation controller

An elevator motion alert system is configured to alert a person of an object moving in at least one hoistway of an elevator system. The elevator motion alert system includes a sensor configured to detect object motion. A transmitter of the elevator motion alert system is carried by the object and is configured to transmit a pressure wave at a pre-defined frequency upon movement of the object. An electronic device of the elevator motion alert system is configured to receive and process the pressure wave for alerting the person of object movement.

An exemplary building sway operation system () for an elevator includes an acceleration sensor (), and a data receiving unit () for receiving a sensor output from the acceleration sensor (). The acceleration sensor () is designed to be mounted on a movable mass () of an active vibration control device () for a building, in order to detect the reciprocating motion of the movable mass () of the active vibration control device () responsive to the occurrence of earthquakes or strong winds.

Building sway operation system

A door switch inspection device for detecting an abnormal condition of a landing door switch used in an elevator is disclosed. Each of a plurality of landing door switches is disposed on a corresponding landing door at each landing floor for detecting an open/closed state of the landing door. The door switch inspection device includes a plurality of voltage detection units connected to the ground side of their respective landing door switches for detecting a voltage value of their respective landing door switches, and a switch contact monitoring unit for detecting an abnormal condition of a landing door switch, which is carried out by calculating a voltage difference between two adjacent floors and comparing the voltage difference with a threshold voltage.

Automatic door switch inspection

The remote inspection device for a passenger conveyor includes at least one camera mounted directly above the passenger conveyor for monitoring external conditions of the passenger conveyor, a remote controller for performing a remote visual inspection using the camera, a passenger conveyor controller for operating the passenger conveyor at a normal speed during a normal operation and for operating the passenger conveyor at a slower speed or bringing it to a complete stop during a remote visual inspection, and a sensor connected to the passenger conveyor controller and arranged in the vicinity of the entrance of the passenger conveyor for detecting the presence of a passenger approaching the entrance of the passenger conveyor.
