A progress status management device and a method for managing a progress status are provided so that a progress status of respective processes in a project is visually and swiftly confirmed. By using the device and method, it is possible to prevent a delay of the project progress because the processing states of processes at an optional stage of the project are shared and easily grasped by managers and workers among departments and outside business partners in charge of the project.

An apparatus for supporting arrangement of operation areas layout includes: a storage unit that stores therein data on a position, a shape, and a use period of each operation area which has already been arranged in a prescribed site; a display control unit that references the data stored in the storage unit and makes a display unit display a top view illustrating arrangement of the operation areas at a given point of time on a temporal axis; and an operation areas layout arrangement processing unit that receives an input of a data on a position, a shape, and a use period of an operation area to be added into the prescribed site, references the data stored in the storage unit, and, if the received and added operation area is not determined to interfere with other already-arranged operation area, stores the data on the added operation area in the storage unit.

Apparatus, method, program, and recording medium for supporting arrangement of operation areas layout

A scheduling system and a CAD system are used to prepare a construction plan in plant construction simulation. A construction work managed by the scheduling system and a plant part used in the construction work and managed by the CAD system, are managed in association with each other. When the plant part is broken down into a plurality of lower plant parts constituting the plant part, as a plurality of lower construction works of the construction work, the processing for associating the lower plant parts with the lower construction works is performed. Data for mutually associating the construction works and the plant parts based on the processing is generated. The generated data is used to mutually link the scheduling system and the CAD system, and a situation in which appropriate parts are installed as progress of the construction work, is displayed.

Method for generating data of plant construction simulation and system thereof

An operation simulation system for plant construction, having operating expense calculated based on crane type determined by a command input; the expense to construct foundation calculated based on the foundation placement on which the determined crane is put; the operating expense calculated based on a period during which an operation is carried out; the expense to temporarily place the installation object calculated based on the specifications of the installation object before the installation; the installation operation expense calculated based on an installation milestone reflecting a due date of the installation object; the total necessary expense calculated based on all the expenses calculated; the total necessary expense is analyzed and evaluated; and the command input is adjusted by reflecting the results of an evaluation analysis so that the value of the command input falls in range of the set values in the specifications held by the corresponding setting apparatus.

Operation simulation system for plant construction

An initialization data generator includes a task database in which task descriptions for initializing a computer are specified related with task IDs and an initialization database in which initialization data descriptions for initializing a computer are stored related with initialization data IDs. The initialization data generator takes input of the computer ID of a computer to be initialized and task data, reads task descriptions and initialization data descriptions according to task ordering related with the task data from the task database and the initialization database, based on the task IDs, task ordering, and the initialization data IDs for software modules which are loaded into the computer to be initialized by the tasks corresponding to the task IDs, specified in the task data, and generates and transfers initialization data to the computer to be initialized, thereby initializing the computer to be initialized.

Computer initialization data generation that accesses task and initialization databases based on computer ID

The information processor includes a device communication performance management module. The device communication performance management module includes: a communication performance evaluation unit that measures and evaluates the communication performance with respect to a device to be used when it is used by a device-use application; a device naming rule management unit that manages a naming rule for incorporating the communication performance evaluated by the communication performance evaluation unit into the name of the device file for a device as the target of evaluation; and a device file management unit that creates a device file for a device as the target of evaluation in accordance with the naming rule based on the result of communication performance evaluation. Information processor and information processing system

A computer readable storage medium encoded with a project assessment program for assessing a project including a plurality of processes when executed by a computer computing forecasts of the project based on a set of information. At least one scheme by a user input is selected from a group of schemes including an estimation of mutual-correlation of estimated value pattern. Process planning information, up-to-date actual process information and forecast model information of each process included in the project is retrieved. The forecast model information of each process of the project is defined as probability distribution variations of a plurality of parameters of the processes, wherein the probability distribution variations are quantitative values of the project. Estimated values of variations in at least two parameters of the processes using the process planning information, the up-to-date actual process information and the forecast model information are computed.

Project assessment system and method

When the process plan made for execution is corrected based on the process correction condition, the variation amount in each of processes based on the process correction condition is calculated as the probability distribution using the probability distribution data generated by obtaining the probability distribution from the variation-amount prediction value of each of the processes. Thereby, the influence degree on other processes when the process is corrected can be estimated not simply as the propagation of the variation fixed value but so as to be more suited to the actual circumstances in accordance with the attribute information and the past variation patterns of the process.

Project risk management system utilizing probability distributions

Information processing apparatus for project management and its computer software

In order to display the value of a multivariable function at at least one point around an arbitrary point which exists in a multidimensional space defined as a domain of the multivariable function, a display plane is divided into a plurality of regions, the plurality of regions are brought into correspondence with a plurality of quadrants which have the arbitrary point in the multidimensional space as a common vertex, respectively, and the value of the multivariable function at a point on the quadrant existent around the arbitrary point is displayed at the position of that point on the region which corresponds to the quadrantal point. The incremental or decremental situation of the values of the multivariable function around the arbitrary point in the multidimensional space can be visually expressed by a single plan view. The multidimensional information displaying method can be utilized for the verification of the result of an optimizing computation, and in turn, for example, for the optimum control of a system.

Apparatus for displaying multidimensional information

In nonlinear optimization a plurality of optimization methods are stored in a computer system as are techniques (knowledge) for applying those methods. Such techniques may be divided into common knowledge which are techniques applicable to all nonlinear optimization methods and domain knowledge which are techniques applicable to a corresponding one of the methods. When an optimization problem is input to the computer system, the system first selects one of the methods and applies it to the problem using the common knowledge and any relevant domain knowledge. If that method does not produce an optimum result, the system tries to solve the problem with another method, again making use of the common knowledge and the respective domain knowledge. This process is repeated until an optimum solution is obtained. The method is applicable to computer control of industrial plants and systems and to computer aided design.
