The invention relates to (1) a water dispersion for ink-jet printing including a polymer and a pigment mixture of C.I. Pigment Yellow 74 (A) and an azo compound (B) represented by the following formula (1) which is dispersed with the polymer, wherein a total pigment solid content of the components (A) and (B) in the water dispersion is from 15 to 35% by weight; and (2) a water-based ink for ink jet printing including a polymer and a pigment mixture of C.I. Pigment Yellow 74 (A) and the azo compound (B) which is dispersed with the polymer, wherein a total pigment solid content of the components (A) and (B) in the water-based ink is from 3 to 20% by weight, wherein Rand Rare independently an aryl group with the proviso that at least one of Rand Rhas a sulfonic acid group and a sulfonic acid amide group.

Aqueous dispersion for inkjet printing

The present invention is directed to KIAA1199, which is a novel factor involved in decomposition of hyaluronic acid, and to use thereof. More specifically, the invention is directed to a hyaluronic acid decomposition-promoting agent containing the KIAA1199 gene and a protein encoded by the gene; to a hyaluronic acid decomposition-inhibiting agent characterized by inhibiting the activity or expression thereof (including an siRNA or a monoclonal antibody); and to a method for screening a novel hyaluronic acid decomposition-controlling agent, in which the method contains employing the expression of KIAA1199 as an index.

The present invention relates to (1) a water-based ink for ink-jet printing having excellent storage stability and anti-curling property which includes particles of a crosslinked water-insoluble polymer containing a colorant wherein a content of water in the ink is 60% by weight or less, and the crosslinked polymer contains an anionic group neutralized with a base in an amount of from 0.5 mmol or more per 1 g of the crosslinked polymer; (2) a process for producing the water-based ink; and (3) a method of reducing curling of a print wherein the print is obtained by printing characters or images thereon with the water-based ink using an ink-jet printer.

Aqueous ink for inkjet recording

The first invention relates to a water-based ink for ink-jet printing which includes colorant-containing polymer particles (A) obtained by dispersing a colorant with a water-soluble polymer (x) and a water-insoluble polymer (y), a water-soluble organic solvent (B) and water, wherein a weight ratio of the water-insoluble polymer (y) to the water-soluble polymer (x) [(y)/(x)] is from 2.0 to 5.0, and a content of the water-soluble organic solvent (B) in the ink is from 10 to 70% by weight. The water-based ink for ink-jet printing according to the first invention is excellent in ejection property and optical density and exhibits a low viscosity. The second invention relates to a process for producing a water dispersion for ink-jet printing, which includes a step (I) of mixing a dispersion of a colorant with an emulsion of a water-insoluble polymer containing an organic solvent; a step (II) of subjecting the resulting mixture to dispersing treatment to obtain a dispersion of the colorant onto which the water-insoluble polymer is deposited; and a step (III) of removing the organic solvent from the resulting dispersion. The water dispersion produced by the process of the second invention is capable of exhibiting a high optical density suitable for high-speed printing.

Water-based ink for inkjet printing

The present invention provides [1] a water dispersion for ink-jet printing containing chain-like particles each containing anionic organic pigment particles and a cationic polymer, wherein the ratio of organic pigment primary particles forming the chain-like particles to all the pigment primary particles contained in the water dispersion is 10% by number or more; [2] a water-based ink for ink-jet printing containing the water dispersion; [3] a method for producing a water dispersion for ink-jet printing as described above in [1]; and [4] a water-based ink for ink-jet printing containing a water dispersion produced through the method. The water dispersion and water-based ink for ink-jet printing of the present invention realize excellent optical density.

The present invention relates to a water-based ink for ink-jet printing which exhibits a high optical density even upon one-pass printing on plain papers and is suitable for high-speed printing, and a dispersion used in the water-base ink. The present invention relates to a water dispersion for ink-jet printing, including a colorant, particles (A) (except for pigments) having a refractive index of 1.0 to 2.2, and a nonionic organic compound containing a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 8 to 30 carbon atoms, and exhibiting a solubility of 1 g or less in 100 g of water as measured at 25&#xb0; C., as well as a water based ink containing the water dispersion. There are provided a water-based ink for ink-jet printing which can exhibit a high optical density upon one-pass printing on plain papers and, therefore, is suitable for high-speed printing, as well as a water dispersion used in the water-based ink.

Polishing composition

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a polishing composition comprising a colloidal silica prepared from a silicate. The first step involves adjusting the pH of a silica dispersion comprising colloidal silica, having an average particle size of primary particles of 1 nm or more and less than 40 nm, to a range of from 10 to 14. The second step involves re-adjusting the pH of the silica dispersion obtained in the first step to a range of from 1 to 6. A density of silanol groups is formed on the surface of the colloidal silica that is from 0.06 to 0.3 mmol per 1 g of the colloidal silica.

Process for preparing a polishing composition

A polishing composition comprising an improver of a ratio of a polishing rate of an insulating film to that of a stopper film, wherein the polishing rate of the stopper film is selectively decreased, comprising one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a monoamine or diamine compound; a polyamine having three or more amino groups in its molecule; an ether group-containing amine; and a heterocyclic compound having nitrogen atom. The polishing composition can be used for removing an insulating film which has been embedded for isolation into a trench formed on a silicon substrate and sedimented outside the trench, thereby planing a surface of the silicon substrate.
