On-vehicle display device

The present invention is to provide a display unit for a vehicle. The display unit has an attractive and three dimensional appearance and is manufactured with low cost. A display unit for a vehicle includes a display screen having display areas displaying a plurality of informations about conditions of the vehicle, a first controller for controlling images displayed on the display screen, and a display partition member disposed on a part of the display areas and having an opening, wherein the first controller controls the display screen to display an image of a display design of a dial on a first display area surrounded by the opening of the display partition member and to rotate the image of the display design based on a prescribed display change specifier signal.

Display unit for vehicle

The object of the invention is to provide an improved vehicle display device that can avoid transmitting noise generated by vibration of a power source, as well as, can prevent the vibration of the power source from being transmitted into the other members or areas. The afore-mentioned object can be achieved by a vehicle display device comprising a circular dial member positioned in front of a display field of a display, at least partly surrounding the display field, and traveling linearly across the display field in cases where a movable member connected thereto is driven by a power source, the power source being coupled to a support member through a damper.

Providing a display apparatus with a structure suitable to support a ring-shaped member for three-dimensional effect to express information for recognition of a partial area of a display area of a display unit by surrounding the partial area with the ring-shaped member arranged in front of the display area so as to be movable linearly along the display area, the ring-shaped member is supported at the top side and the bottom side of the rear edge in a top-bottom direction along the display area and perpendicular to a direction of the linear motion, by each mount piece of the supporting member. Front portions of the mount pieces located in front of the display area are completely covered by the facing plate located between the front portions and the front large diameter portion of the ring-shaped member.

Display apparatus

A display unit for a vehicle includes a display device having first and second areas on a display screen and a controller. The controller controls the display device to display first vehicle related data at the first area, or to scroll the displayed first vehicle related data from the first area to the second area according to a scrolling signal. The controller controls the display device to display second vehicle related data at the first area after the displayed first vehicle related data is scrolled out of the first area.

A display apparatus for a vehicle includes display screen having a plurality of display areas such as a tachometer display area, a speedometer display area, and an auxiliary display area. An electric connection structure is provided for electrically connecting an automobile instrument, such as a speedometer or tachometer, and a flexible wiring plate disposed on a body casing. A male connector, which houses terminals connected to the coils, is provided on the inner mechanism side. A female connector, which accommodates a strip portion of the flexible wiring plate having a conduction portion, is provided on the side of the body casing having the flexible wiring plate at the rear surface thereof. A wiring plate pressing member for pressing and retaining the strip portion is inserted in the female connector from the rear surface side of the meter casing. When the male and female connectors are engaged, the terminals directly contact the conduction portion of the flexible wiring plate.

Electric connection structure between electric parts and flexible wiring

A display apparatus for a vehicle with a light introducing member in which light emitted by a light source passes through a slit. The slit is used as a luminous pointer with high luminance, resulting in improved recognizability and readability of the display apparatus. The display apparatus for a vehicle according to the present invention comprising: a dial; a pointer plate with a substantially round light-transmissible portion, the pointer plate situated on a front side of the dial and driven to rotate according to a measured value; a light-transmissible slit formed on the pointer plate; a light source situated on a rear side of the dial; and a light introducing member for gathering light from the light source to introduce the light into the slit.
