A connector is connectable with a sheet-like object having a received portion. The connector comprises a terminal, a holding member and a pressing member. The holding member holds the terminal. The holding member has a regulating portion. The pressing member is supported by at least one of the terminal and the holding member so as to be movable. The pressing member is movable between an open position and a close position and is movable to the close position by being turned forward in a front-rear direction from the open position. The pressing member is provided with a receiving portion and a regulated portion. The receiving portion is positioned forward of the received portion of the object in the front-rear direction when the object is connected with the connector while the pressing member is positioned at the close position. When the pressing member is positioned at the close position, the regulated portion is positioned rearward of the regulating portion in the front-rear direction so that the regulating portion regulates forward movement of the regulated portion.

A connector has a receiving portion which is receivable a connection member inserted rearward in a front-rear direction. The connection member has a plate-like or sheet-like shape and has terminals and a ground pattern. The connector comprises a plurality of contacts, a holding member and a conductive member. The contacts have contact points, respectively. The contact points are to be in contact with the terminals, respectively. The holding member holds the contacts. The conductive member is attached to the holding member. The conductive member has a shield connection portion which is to be in contact with the ground pattern. The shield connection portion is positioned frontward of the contact points of the contacts in the front-rear direction and is positioned outward of the contact points in a width direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction.

Connector

A connector is connectable with a sheet-like or plate-like object having an end. The connector comprises a base member, a contact and an actuator. The contact is held by the base member. The actuator is supported by the base member so as to be openable and closable. The actuator is selectively locatable at a contact guard position, an open position and a keep position. When the actuator is closed to the contact guard position under a state where the object is not mounted on the mount surface, the guard portion is, at least in part, located under the mount surface in the up-down direction while the guard portion hides the contact point so that the contact point is unable to be seen when the connector is viewed from the front thereof in the front-rear direction.

When an actuator is tilted to the rear so that a signal contact and a contact portion of a plate-like connection object are brought into contact with each other, a terminal portion, connected to a connecting portion of a board, of the signal contact is covered with a conductor member held in the actuator.

A connector comprises a receiving portion, a housing and an actuator. The housing has a lock portion protruding upward and a recess formed with a bottom portion. The actuator has a pressing portion. The actuator is supported by the housing so as to be pivotable between an open position and a close position. When the actuator is located at the open position, a plate-like or sheet-like object comprising an interposed portion and a locked portion, for example, a Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC), is inserted and received in the receiving portion. When the object is received in the receiving portion, the interposed portion is located above the recess, and the locked portion is located rearward of the lock portion. The pressing portion and the bottom portion interpose the interposed portion of the object when the actuator pivots from the open position to the close position.

A connector is connectable to an inserted object. The connector comprises a housing and an actuator. The actuator is supported by the housing so as to pivot between an open position where the object is insertable and a close position where the inserted object is held. The actuator has a supported shaft, a first supported portion and a second supported portion which are supported by a pivot supporter, a first support member and a second support member of the connector, respectively. The first supported portion is in abutment with the first support member located thereabove both when the actuator is located at the open position and when the actuator is located at the close position. The second supported portion is in abutment with the second support member located therebelow both when the actuator is located at the open position and when the actuator is located at the close position.

A connector includes a housing in which a stationary separator portion and an accommodation portion are provided. The accommodation portion receives an actuator above the separator portion and receives an end of an FPC/FFC below the separator portion. A force receiving portion and a contact portion of a contact, which together have a bifurcated shape, are disposed above and below the separator portion, respectively. When the force receiving portion is moved upward by a turning operation of the actuator above the separator portion, the contact portion is abutted with a signal layer of the FPC/FFC, and the position of a ground member which holds the FPC/FFC in conjunction with the contact portion and the position of the separator portion are not changed. Accordingly, the contact between the contact portion and the single layer is stabilized, thereby improving the reliability of the contact between the contact portion of the contact and the FPC/FFC.

A holding member is configured to hold a sheet-like or board-like connecting object. The connecting object held by the holding member is able to be inserted into and connected to a connector which includes an actuator having an actuator-side engaged portion. The holding member comprises a holder-side engaged portion. The holder-side engaged portion is engaged with the actuator-side engaged portion when the actuator is turned over under a state where the connecting object held by the holding member is inserted in the connector. The turning over of the actuator connects the connector to the connecting object. The engagement of the holder-side engaged portion with the actuator-side engaged portion keeps a predetermined relative position of the connecting object relative to the connector.
