Biocompatible nanoparticleswhich entrap a bioactive substance and whose surface is positive-charge-modified are electrically adhered to a balloon portionof a catheter main bodythrough a negatively charged resin layer, and thus a nanoparticle layeris formed. After the catheter main bodyis indwell in vivo, the nanoparticlesare gradually eluted from the nanoparticle layerand are effectively delivered to cells.

A pharmaceutical preparation comprises nano-level particles (nanospheres) of a biocompatible polymer having, as held on their surfaces, an NF&#x3ba;B decoy capable of binding to NF&#x3ba;B to inhibit its activity. With penetration of the nanoparticles inside cells, the NF&#x3ba;B decoy may be delivered to an affected site and the NF&#x3ba;B decoy may be released from the surfaces of the nanoparticles and may be thereby efficiently and specifically introduced into the affected site.

Pharmaceutical preparation

An apparatus and a method for manufacturing granules includes a spray nozzle disposed within a granulating chamber of an apparatus body. The spray nozzle feeds by spraying into the granulating chamber a liquid material comprising at least one of mixture having solid and liquid in a mixed state and solution including solid dissolved therein. An air blowoff portion is provided at a lower region of the granulating chamber for feeding air for floating and fluidizing the liquid material and fine particles under granulation inside the granulating chamber. An air exhaust port is provided at an upper region of the granulating chamber for exhausting the air present inside the granulating chamber. The spray nozzle is designed to spray the liquid material upwardly.
