The fastening structure is fastening one member and another member via a fastening member, and includes: a fitting portion having a fitting hole; a to-be-fitted portion having a to-be-fitted hole; and the fastening member inserted into the fitting hole. The fastening member has: a trunk portion, between one end and another end of the fastening member; a tool groove at the one end; a come-off prevention portion at the other end, the come-off prevention portion having a greater radius than a radius; and a helical protrusion at a part of the trunk portion. The fitting portion has a helical groove configured to be screwed with the helical protrusion. A radius of the fitting hole is less than the radius of the come-off prevention portion, and a radius of the to-be-fitted hole is not less than the radius of the come-off prevention portion.

A passive-type infrared sensor system includes first and second sensor units each including a first or second light receiving element and a first or second optical system. The first sensor unit has a 'viewing' direction oriented towards an upper half of a human body so as to define a first watch area clear of a ground surface. Passive-type infrared sensor system for detecting human body

An intruder detection system for senses infrared radiated by an intruder through a window-pane and detecting the intrusion through the reception of an output from the infrared sensors. The system includes a light emitter for projecting infrared rays toward a detection area and a light acceptor for receiving at least part of the infrared rays projected by the light emitter through an obstruction detection optical path. The light emitter and the light acceptor are located on opposite sides of the window-pane.
