Provided are a large-current and highly stable gas field ionization ion source, and a high-resolution ion microscope with a large focal depth. The present invention relates to an ion microscope provided with a gas field ionization ion source, in which disposed are a refrigerator for cooling the gas field ionization ion source independent of the main body of the ion microscope, and a refrigerant circulation circuit cooling mechanism for circulating a refrigerant between the gas field ionization ion source and the refrigerator. Consequently it is possible to reduce the mechanical vibration of the refrigerator, which propagates to the gas field ionization ion source, and to achieve both the improvement of the brightness of the ion source and the improvement of ion beam focusing performance.

Ion microscope

A magnet magnetizing system and a superconducting magnet to be magnetized, for magnetizing a superconducting magnet to be magnetized, comprises: a magnetizing magnetic field generating means for generating and distinguishing a static magnetic field; a cooling means having an electromotive motor within the static magnetic field, which is generated from the magnetizing magnet generating means; and a bulk superconductor to be magnetized, which is thermally connected with a low-temperature portion of the cooling means, wherein the magnetizing magnetic field generating means is made up with a magnetizing superconducting bulk magnet, building other magnetizing bulk superconductor therein, the bulk superconductor to be magnetized before magnetization thereof is inserted within a space of the static magnetic field, which is generated by the magnetizing superconducting bulk magnet magnetized, and the magnetic field of the magnetizing superconducting bulk magnet is distinguished by the means for cooling the bulk superconductor inserted, down to be equal or lower than superconducting temperature, thereby magnetizing the bulk superconductor to be magnetized.

A persistent current switch in a superconducting magnet, includes: a winding part in which a superconducting wire is noninductively wound; a winding-heating heater provided around the winding part; a vessel provided around the winding part with a space; and an anti-convective material provided in the space between the vessel and the winding part.

The memory is accessed to transmit the information of the specimen holder to the electron microscope, thereby ensuring that the user can use the specimen holder without mistaking characteristics of the specimen holder and danger of erroneous recording of the specimen information can be reduced.

A magnetic field generator comprises a superconducting bulk body, which generates a superconducting magnetic field, a refrigerant vessel for storing solid nitrogen, a vacuum container, which accommodates therein the superconducting bulk body and the refrigerant vessel, and a refrigerator having a cooling head for cooling the refrigerant vessel. The superconducting bulk body is arranged along a wall of the vacuum container. The cooling head of the refrigerator and the refrigerant vessel are in thermal contact with each other. The refrigerant vessel and the superconducting bulk body are in thermal contact with each other.

A low temperature probe having a coil used in an NMR apparatus includes an opposed heat exchanger cooling a cooling medium, and a cooling apparatus having a first cooling stage capable of cooling to no more than 10K and a second cooling stage capable of cooling to at least 10K in series cooling the cooling medium from the opposed heat exchanger. A probe portion has a first heat exchanging portion executing heat exchange between the cooling medium and the coil, a circulation structure which circulates the cooling medium into the opposed heat exchanger, a second heat exchanging portion executing heat exchange between the cooling medium and a heat radiation shield. The heat radiation shield has a heat capacity greater than the heat capacity of the cooling medium.

Low temperature probe and nuclear magnetic resonance analysis apparatus using the same

A capillary array capable of being easily mounted on an electrophoresis apparatus without damaging the capillaries. The capillary array can include a plurality of capillaries that can be fixed via hollow electrodes on a load header in a matrix arrangement. The load header can be disposed on the electrophoresis apparatus. The capillary array can include a capillary frame onto which a capillary head and a detection portion can be detachably mounted. The structure allows the load header, the capillary head, the detection unit and other portions of the capillary array to be handled as a unit, thereby making it easier to mount the capillary array on the electrophoresis apparatus.

Capillary array and electrophoresis apparatus, and methods

Charged particle beam equipment enables the simultaneous measurement and correction of magnification errors in both X and Y directions in one measurement without requiring the elimination of displacement, if any, in rotation direction between the direction of a periodic structure pattern of a sample having a known periodic structure and the X or Y direction on an electron image of the sample. The charged particle beam equipment of the invention enables the simultaneous measurement of magnification errors in the X and Y directions by FFT transformation and coordinate transformation of an electron image, even when there is a displacement in rotation direction between the direction of the periodic structural pattern and the X or Y direction on the electron image of the sample.

The invention provides a low temperature probe having a high sensitivity by reducing a heat intrusion into a receive coil. A heat making an intrusion into a coil is suppressed by inserting a heat radiation shield in which a temperature is controlled at about 100 K to a portion between an outer container of a probe and a coil portion. A heat radiation shield bore sleeve is provided in a heat radiation bore, is connected to the heat radiation shield, and is cooled by a second heat exchanger. Further, the coil portion is cooled by a first heat exchanger. In preparation for a contraction at a time of being cooled, the outer container, the heat radiation shield and the coil portion are connected by using a fixing portion, and a heat relieving mechanism or a contraction relieving mechanism is provided in a root side (an opposite side to the fixing portion) of the heat radiation shield and the coil portion. The fixing portion is formed in a shape and made of a material having a small heat intrusion amount and having a small heat contraction.

Low temperature probe for NMR and NMR device

In an ultrahigh sensitive NMR apparatus, a stability of a temperature of a very low temperature probe coil is improved. A low temperature probe of the high sensitive NMR apparatus is structured at a very low temperature by a cooling apparatus. A cooling medium at a room temperature (300 K) discharged from a compressor is cooled down to 70K by a countercurrent heat exchanger, and is next cooled down to 4K or less by a series of second stages. Further, the cooling medium enters into a low temperature probe via a transfer tube, cools a probe coil to 5 to 10K by a heat exchanging portion, further cools a radiation shield to 40 to 60K, and makes a circuit via the countercurrent heat exchanger. A high temperature stability can be applied to a receiving probe coil in the low temperature probe by a cooling apparatus having a high temperature stability.

In a distributed control system in which a plurality of nodes are connected to a transmission line, each node controlling components connected to this node and transmitting a message to other nodes, a message sent by each node includes at least two message-sending condition-identifying portions, one of the condition-identifying portions including data indicating a message-receiving node or non-designation of a message-receiving node; and a comparison-selection circuit provided in each node includes registration parts for registering data of message-receiving conditions, at least two registration parts for comparing contents of the condition-identifying portion in the taken-in message with the data of message-receiving conditions registered in the registration parts, a received-message storing part for storing a message to be received in this node, a control part for determining whether or not the taken-in message is to be received in this node based on a result of comparison-processing performed in the comparison and selection means and for transferring the taken-in message to the received-message storing part if it is determined that the taken-in message is received in this node, otherwise, abandoning the taken-in message.
