The bottom partincludes a bottom surface portionprotruding so as to become large in height as the bottom surface portionextends toward a middle portion. The bottom surface portionincludes one or both of a bent portionand a inflection portion. The bent portionhas a bent section. The inflection portionhas a section that changes from a depression to a projection.

A golf club comprises: a golf club shaft extending from its first end to second end in its axis direction; a golf club head attached to the second end of the golf club shaft; a grip attach to the first end of the golf club shaft and having a grip end; and a weight member attached to the golf club shaft. The specific gravity of the weight member is 2.5 or more. The length of the weight member is 20 mm or less. The weight member is disposed in a grip-end portion of the golf club shaft so that a mass distribution in the axis direction of the grip-end portion has a local maximum occurring at a position within the grip-end portion, wherein the grip-end portion is defined as extending from the grip end toward the second end by 40 mm in the axis direction.

Golf club

A golf club includes a tubular club shaft having first and second ends, a weight member, and a grip attached to the club shaft. The weight member includes a weight main body made of metal and a cover formed by rubbery elastomer. The weight main body includes a first end face, a second end face, and an outer side face extending between the first and second end faces. The cover includes a side cover portion covering an entire region of the outer side face of the weight main body, a first end cover portion covering the first end face, and a flange. The weight member is installed to the club shaft in such a manner that the side cover portion is located in a space of the club shaft and that the flange engages with the first end of the club shaft outwardly of the club shaft.

A grip for a golf club includes a cylindrical portion into which a shaft is inserted; and an end cap portion. The cylindrical portion, on its outer surface, includes a minute projection region where a plurality of minute projections each of which has a maximum width of 0.2 mm or more and 1.2 mm or less are arranged at intervals of 0.05 mm or more and 0.7 mm or less. The minute projection region is disposed in a first region whose distance in an axial direction from a grip butt end is from 0 mm to 210 mm. Of the grip, a portion from the grip butt end up to 50 mm therefrom has a weight of 10 g or more, and the weight accounts for 39% or more of the whole weight of the grip.

A golf club includes a shaft-insertion hole, a shaft inserted to the shaft-insertion hole, and a ferrule attached to the shaft. The ferrule includes an upper part exposed to the outside, and a lower part located between the shaft-insertion hole and the shaft. The lower part of the ferrule includes at least one through hole. The through hole includes a chamfered portion on an outer surface side of the lower part. Preferably, the lower part includes a plurality of through holes. The through holes may be provided at respective four or more positions in a circumferential direction of the lower part. The through hole may have a minimum hole area of greater than or equal to 3 mmand less than or equal to 12 mm.

A shaftincludes a tip end Tp and a butt end Bt. If a shaft length is defined as Ls, a distance between the butt end Bt of the shaft and a center of gravity G of the shaft is defined as Lg, and a ratio of the distance Lg to the shaft length Ls is defined as a ratio of the center of gravity of the shaft, then the ratio of the center of gravity of the shaft is equal to or less than 47%. The shaft length Ls is equal to or less than 991 mm. If a forward flex is defined as F1 (mm) and a backward flex is defined as F2 (mm), a flex point ratio C1 of the shaft calculated by the following formula (1) is equal to or less than 39%:1=[2/(1+2)]&#xd7;100]&#x2003;&#x2003;(1).

A shaft full length is defined as Ls and a distance between a tip end of the shaft and a center of gravity G of the shaft is defined as Lg. In a shaft, Lg/Ls is 0.54 or greater and 0.65 or less. A shaft weight Ws is 50 g or greater and 85 g or less. The shafthas at least three bias layer pairs. One bias layer pair of the three bias layer pairs is a pitch-containing bias layer pair having a pitch based carbon fiber. Two bias layer pairs of the three bias layer pairs are PAN-containing bias layer pairs having a PAN based carbon fiber. Preferably, the PAN-containing bias layer pairs are located outside and inside the pitch-containing bias layer pair.

The fastening member is constituted to enable a mutual transition of a fastening state in which the elastic member is fastened and a removing state in which the fastening member is removed from the elastic member and is also removed from the golf club. It is preferable that the fastening member should be provided in no contact with the shaft () in the fastening state.

A golf club shaft having at least six full-length layers composed of prepregs. The full-length layers are divided into an inner-layer part including a half of the full-length layers and an outer-layer part including a remaining half of the full-length layers.
