A front suspension device comprises a suspension arm, one end of which has a front-wheel support portion to support a front wheel of a vehicle and the other end of which is positioned on an inward side, in a vehicle width direction, of the front-wheel support portion and has a vehicle-body attachment portion to be attached to a vehicle-body member of the vehicle and a damper supported at a damper support portion which is provided at a portion of the suspension arm which is positioned in the vicinity of the front-wheel support portion at a lower portion thereof and connected to the vehicle-body member at an upper portion thereof. The damper support portion of the suspension arm has a breakage ease portion to cause breakage of the suspension arm.

Front suspension device

The thickness of one of a pair of panels (an inner panel () and an outer panel ()) of each trailing arm () is greater than the thickness of the other panel, and a rear wheel support unit (an axle unit ()) configured to support each rear wheel is coupled to one of the pair of panels (the inner panel () and the outer panel ()).

Automobile rear suspension structure

An arm cover comprises a main part and a front part. These parts are configured such that when the rear suspension takes a standard vehicle-weight position, these parts are respectively inclined rearwardly and downwardly, wherein an angle of inclination of the inclined front part is smaller than that of the inclined main part. When the rear suspension takes the standard vehicle-weight position, a front edge of the front part is located at a higher level than a bottom face portion of a under cover, and when the rear suspension takes a rebound position, the front edge of the front part is located at a position which is higher than a level of the bottom face portion of the under cover and close to a rear end portion of the under cover.

Vehicle-body lower face structure

A torsion beam type of rear suspension comprising a pair of right-and-left trailing arms and a torsion beam connecting the trailing arms is provided. A floor under cover for airflow straightening is attached to a portion of a vehicle body in front of the rear suspension so as to cover a vehicle-body lower face. A arm cover is attached to a lower portion of the trailing arm so as to cover a lower face of the trailing arm. The arm cover is provided with an arm-cover enlarged portion which is configured to protrude outwardly, in a vehicle width direction, from the trailing arm in a vehicle bottom-face view. The floor under cover is provided with a floor-under-cover enlarged portion such that a rear end portion of the floor under cover faces closely to a front edge of the arm-cover enlarged portion.

A torsion beam of a vehicle torsion beam suspension has a closed cross section. A beam center portion has an inverse substantially v-shaped cross section or a substantially v-shaped cross section. Circumference increasing portions having a longer circumferential length toward the beam ends are disposed at opposite sides of the beam center portion. Each circumference increasing portion has a beam width that is a width in the fore and aft direction of a vehicle body, the beam width gradually increasing toward a beam end, and increasing at a higher rate as a position of the beam width is closer to the beam end.

A remote troubleshooting system comprises a vehicle that transmits vehicle data regarding a stress factor of a specific onboard component at a specified timing, and a troubleshooting server that is connected to the vehicle via a network, receives the vehicle data from the vehicle, and performs the troubleshooting of the onboard component. The server determines a precaution level based on the vehicle data from the vehicle, selects a troubleshooting program that is suitable to the precaution level determined, and transmits this to the vehicle. The vehicle replaces the troubleshooting program currently stored by a memory with the troubleshooting program received. Thereby, the reliability of the troubleshooting can be improved.

Remote troubleshooting system

The configuration, structure and materials of the components of a control device as well as a control device assembly are disclosed. The control device includes an elongated strip portion which is bent into a J-shaped configuration so that an opening in the J forms a receiving slot for receiving and securely holding a tubular member which encloses a portion of a cable. The receiving slot is slightly smaller in width than the diameter of the tubular member and the slot is bendably expandable while the tubular member is compressible. When the tubular member is in the slot the biasing forces (inward from the control member and outward from the tube) hold the tube in place and allow the tube and cable to be easily and conveniently placed in the control device. The tubular member may include a flange at one end which faces toward the main part of the cable. The other end of the tubular member abuts an expanded abutment on a cable which forms the cable end. The control member can be forced against the cable end to move and precisely position the cable. Due to the configuration of the J-shaped control member and the tubular member the control member can be easily positioned on the tubular member in a simple movement which can be carried out with one hand.

A brake control system for a vehicle provided with a four-wheel drive mechanism and an antiskid brake system for controlling the braking effort upon application of the brakes to prevent locking of the wheels comprises a brake application sensor for detecting application of the brakes over a predetermined level to such a degree that can lead to locking of the wheels, and a releasing mechanism which releases the driving connection between the front wheel driving system and the rear wheel driving system of the four-wheel drive mechanism when the brake application sensor detects application of the brakes over the predetermined level.
