A side airbag device includes: an inflator; a cushion main body that is disposed at a side of a seat of a vehicle and that is expandable from the side toward a front of the vehicle by a gas; a cushion protrusion that is disposed at a vehicle front side with respect to the cushion main body and that is expandable to project further toward the front of the vehicle by receiving the gas from the cushion main body; a tether that is string-shaped, the tether bridging from the cushion protrusion over a predetermined position of the side of the seat, the tether maintaining the cushion protrusion in a state in which the cushion protrusion is folded back toward a rear of the vehicle; a sensor that receives information from the vehicle; and a tether cutter that cuts the tether according to the information obtained by the sensor.

Side airbag device

A side airbag device for restraining an occupant at an initial stage of airbag deployment. A seatback includes a side support portion that bulges out in a vehicle advancement direction on a vehicle width direction side portion. A side frame having a frame side wall that extends in the vehicle advancement direction when a horizontal section is disposed in the interior of the side support portion. The side airbag device is housed on a vehicle width direction inner side of the frame side wall. An inflator is provided on the vehicle width direction inner side of the frame side wall to supply inflation gas to the airbag. An internal vent hole through which the inflation gas flows from a sub-chamber into a main chamber is provided in a partition between the main chamber and the sub-chamber. The sub-chamber deploys so as to overlap the frame side wall when seen from the side of the vehicle. The main chamber deploys without overlapping the frame side wall when seen from the side of the vehicle.

Occupant protection device

A side airbag device includes: an inflator; a cushion that is expandable from the side of a seat toward a front of a vehicle; a vent hole that is provided at a predetermined position of the cushion and that discharges the gas; a patch that openably covers the vent hole from an inside of the cushion; a tether that is connected to the patch and a predetermined position (a tether cutter) of the side of the seat, the tether pulling the patch toward a rear of the vehicle so as to open the vent hole when the cushion is expanded and deployed; and a tether cutter that is configured to cut the tether in response to information relating to a state of the vehicle.

A side airbag apparatus which allows a reduced amount of base fabric and, enables gas to flow efficiently inside the cushion. An inflator () supplies gas, a cushion () in which base fabrics are formed into a bag shape and inflates and deploys to protect an occupant () during a vehicle emergency, a base fabric joint portion () which is provided to join main panelsandof the cushion () in a linear manner and partitions the cushion () into a rear chamber (), a front chamber (), and an opening () provided midway along the base fabric joint portion (). The base fabric joint portion () includes vent forming portionsandarranged in two rows which extend from both ends of the opening () towards the front chamber () or rear chamber () and form a projecting vent (). The projecting vent () permits flow of gas between the rear chamber () and the front chamber ().

Air bag device

A side airbag deviceincludes: a main bag, is built in a seat of a vehicle, and inflates and deploys toward a side of an occupant and a vehicle front side; an inner bagwhich is formed in a bag shape independent of the main bag, and inflates and deploys on a vehicle rear side inside the main bag. An inflatorprovided inside the inner bagto supply gas; and a tension memberwhich spans between the vehicle front side and the vehicle rear side inside the inner bagand is tensioned as the inner baginflates and deploys. The length of the inner bagin the front-back direction of the vehicle at inflation is restricted by the tension memberto a predetermined range, and the inner bag therefore inflates in a vehicle width direction and pushes and spreads the vehicle rear side of the main bagfrom the inside of the main bagto both sides in the vehicle width direction.

A side air bag device restraining an occupant at the early stage of the deployment. A seat back has a side support part bulging in a vehicle forward direction at a side part in a vehicle width direction. A seat frame of the seat is provided inside the seat. The side air bag device has an air bag deploying to restrain an occupant and an inflator supplying inflating gas. A side frame part of the seat frame is inside the side support part, and the side air bag device is on an outer side of the side frame. The air bag has a main chamber deploying forward and to an outer side of the side support part and a sub-chamber deploying inside the side support part. The sub-chamber deploys further toward a forward side than a vehicle forward edge of the side frame, at least a front part of the side support part protrudes and deforms toward an occupant side.

Vehicle occupant protection device

An airbag apparatus capable of protecting an occupant by restraining movement of the occupant in an obliquely forward direction and towards a far side during a collision. A far side airbag apparatus (), which is an airbag apparatus, deploys between a driver seat () and a front passenger seat () arranged side by side in a vehicle width direction of a vehicle cabin (). The apparatus () includes a cushion () which is embedded in a floor of the vehicle cabin () and reaches a height at least equal to that of a pelvis region () of an occupant () seated in either one of the driver seat () and the front passenger seat () during inflation and deployment.

Airbag apparatus

An airbag device for restraining an occupant even during an oblique collision and suppressing head injury values. An airbag deviceincludes: a passenger bagwhich deploys on a front side of a passenger seat; a center bagwhich deploys on an inner side in a vehicle width direction; a slitwhich separates the passenger bagand the center bagfrom each other on a vehicle rearward side; and a tether beltwhich which is connected to a first connecting parton the center bagand a second connecting parton the passenger bag. Airbag device

A side airbag device having a plurality of chambers. The side airbagincludes: an inflator; a rear chamberwhich deploys at a side partof a seat backand a middle restraining partthat protrudes toward the front of a vehicle and a main partat a rear side. A sectioning wallwhich constitutes a front edge and an upper edge of the rear chamber. A front chamberinflates into areas toward the front of the vehicle and the upper part of the vehicle from the sectioning wall. An upper openingis formed on the sectioning wallin a rear part of the upper edge of the rear chamber. A lower openingis formed on the sectioning wallin a lower part of the front edge of the rear chamber

A curtain airbag device that can be applied to a small-width pillar. The curtain airbag device is accommodated in a region extending from at least an A-pillar to an upper portion of a window frame, and includes an airbag that is deployed in a curtain form near a side window of a vehicle interior in order to protect an occupant; and a gas generator that supplies inflation gas to the airbag. The accommodated airbag is formed in a rod shape by being folded in a roll form. When the airbag is accommodated, the airbag is partially compressed toward the center of the airbag at a narrow portion where an installation area of the A-pillar is narrow, in order to partially decrease a diameter of the airbag.

Curtain airbag device

An automotive airbag apparatus is able to reduce the shock caused by early deployment of airbag against a passenger not in a position for safe airbag restraint, and further able to deploy quickly and effectively when a passenger is in a position for safe restraint. The airbag apparatus includes an airbag housing in which a folded airbag resides until deployed by the gas from an inflator, an airbag door that opens on a hinge from the pressure applied by the deploying airbag, and a restrictor member extending over the folded airbag beneath the airbag door with a direction from front to rear of the vehicle. The restrictor member has a fixed end at forward part thereof attached to the airbag housing, and a releasable fixed or free end at rearward part thereof, the free end coming into frictional contact with the airbag door in the vicinity of the hinge as the airbag door is pushed out by the early phase of the airbag deployment.

Connector

The present invention relates to a connector for electrically connecting a card and a lead wire. The connector includes a housing to and from which the card can be inserted and pulled out along a surface of the housing and a contact built in the housing, the contact having a pair of exposed ends, one of the exposed ends capable of connecting to the lead wire, the other of the exposed ends capable of connecting to the card when the card is inserted. The housing has a first communication hole communicating with the contact, and the first communication hole has a diameter which allows a probe for a connector conduction test to be inserted into the first communication hole. According to the present invention, the first communication hole defined by the support pin for supporting the contacts are utilized as the insertion holes of the probe for the connector conduction test, so that production efficiency of the connector can be improved.

Connector and method for producing thereof

A connector having a plug connected to an antenna through a coaxial cable and a receptacle. The plug includes a cylindrical shell, a pin contact, and an insulative pin contact holder provided inside the shell. The receptacle includes a first receptacle housing having a shell-receiving hole and a second receptacle housing provided inside the shell-receiving hole and having a pin contact-receiving hole. A first protrusion is formed in a distal end of the pin contact holder. A first reentrant in which the first protrusion is to be fitted is formed in a distal end of the second receptacle housing. The present invention can prevent the connection of external antennas of other manufacturers to the receptacle because the first protrusion and first reentrant are specified in shape. Also, the plug can be readily connected to the receptacle because the plug can be connected to the receptacle independently of the posture of the plug.
