An electromagnetic contactor includes a contact mechanism including a pair of fixed contacts having fixed contact portions and interposed in a current conduction path, and a movable contact having a pair of movable contact portions capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contact portions. At least one of the pair of fixed contacts or the movable contact is formed in a shape to form magnetic fields generating Lorentz forces opposing electromagnetic repulsion forces generated in an opening direction between the fixed contact portions and the movable contact portions when current is conducted. External connection conductors are connected to external connection terminals of the fixed contacts, an attachment direction of fixed portions fixed to the external connection terminal of the fixed contacts is set to cross a current flow direction flowing through the movable contact.

Electromagnetic contactor

An electromagnetic switch includes a contact housing case; a plurality of contact mechanisms each having a fixed contact and a movable contact contacting to and separating from the fixed contact, and disposed in parallel inside the contact housing case; a movable contact holding portion holding the movable contacts of the plurality of contact mechanisms; and an electromagnet unit having a movable plunger moving the movable contact holding portion.

Electromagnetic switch

A contact device includes a pair of fixed contacts fixedly disposed inside an arc extinguishing chamber and maintaining a predetermined interval from each other; a movable contact disposed inside the arc extinguishing chamber, and contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts; a first arc root movement promotion portion formed on the pair of fixed contacts, and promoting a movement of a root of an arc in a direction away from the movable contact, the arc being generated when contacts are opened in which the movable contact moves away from the pair of fixed contacts; and a second arc root movement promotion portion formed on the movable contact, and promoting a movement of the root of the arc in a direction away from the relevant fixed contact.

An electromagnetic switch includes a main contact housing portion housing a main contact mechanism having a pair of fixed contacts fixedly disposed maintaining a predetermined interval and a movable contact disposed to connect with and separate from the pair of fixed contacts in a contact housing case; an auxiliary contact housing portion housing at least two auxiliary contact mechanisms having fixed contacts and movable contacts disposed connecting to and separating from the fixed contacts; and an electromagnet unit having a movable plunger individually coupled to move the movable contact of the main contact mechanism and the movable contacts of the auxiliary contact mechanisms. The main contact housing portion, the auxiliary contact housing portion, and the electromagnet unit are disposed in series.

Electromagnetic switch and contact position regulating method thereof

A contact device includes a contact mechanism including a pair of fixed contacts disposed to maintain a predetermined distance and a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts. The movable contact has a conductive plate portion extending in a direction crossing a moving direction of the movable contact in a contact housing case. Each of the pair of fixed contacts includes an inner side conductor plate portion having one end and the other end portion extending toward the outside of the contact housing case in parallel to the conductive plate portion, and an outer side conductor plate portion connected to the other end portion of the inner side conductor plate portion and extending in a direction separating from the movable contact, to form an L-shaped conductor portion to generate a Lorentz force opposing an electromagnetic repulsion force.

Contact device and electromagnetic contactor using the same

An electromagnetic contactor has a pair of fixed contacts disposed maintaining a predetermined interval and a movable contact disposed to be capable of connecting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts; and an electromagnet unit that drives the movable contact. The electromagnet unit includes a magnetic yoke enclosing a plunger drive portion; a movable plunger in which a leading end is protruding through an aperture formed in the magnetic yoke, and urged by a return spring; and an annular permanent magnet enclosing a peripheral flange portion formed on a protruding end side of the movable plunger, and magnetized in a moving direction of the movable plunger.

A magnetic contactor has a stationary contact including a first and second stationary contact pieces, each having a stationary contact portion and a stationary terminal portion, a third stationary contact piece disposed between the first stationary contact piece and the second stationary contact piece and having two stationary contact portions; a contact support casing supporting the stationary contact with the stationary terminal portions protruding out of the contact support casing; and a movable contact installed in the contact support casing, and including a first and second movable contact pieces contactable and separable from the stationary contact portions of the stationary contact pieces and the stationary contact portions of the third stationary contact piece accordingly, and an insulator fixing the first movable contact piece and the second movable contact piece. A driving mechanism drives the movable contact to contact and separate from the stationary contact.

Magnetic contactor

An electromagnetic contactor includes a first stationary contact having a stationary contact portion and a stationary terminal portion for connecting to a power supply; a second stationary contact having a stationary contact portion and a stationary terminal section for connecting to a load; a stationary-contact supporting case supporting the stationary terminal portions of the first and second stationary contacts to protrude the contact support casing, and maintaining a predetermined distance in between; a moving-contact portion contactable to and separable from the stationary contact portion of the first and second stationary contact and arranged in the stationary-contact supporting case; and a pair of arc-extinguishing magnets arranged in parallel to sandwich the moving-contact portion in the longitudinal direction and having same magnetic polarity at opposing magnetic pole surfaces. A driving mechanism drives the moving-contact portion contactable to and separable from the stationary contact portions of the first and second stationary contacts.

Electromagnetic contractor

An electromagnetic contactor has a contact device including a pair of fixed contacts disposed to maintain a predetermined distance and a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts. An insulating cover covering all except a contact portion contacting with the movable contact is mounted on the pair of fixed contacts.

A contact mechanism where a shape of at least one of a fixed contactor including a pair of fixed contact portions and a movable contactor including a pair of movable contact portions capable of contacting with and separating from the pair of fixed contact portions is set to a shape that generates a Lorentz force resisting electromagnetic repulsion in a contactor opening direction generated between the fixed contact portions and the movable contact portions when a current is applied, has the fixed contactor and the movable contactor being inserted in a current path. Magnetic bodies are disposed on at least one of the fixed contactor and the movable contactor for suppressing a force driving arcs, which are generated between the pair of fixed contact portions and the pair of movable contact portions, to the fixed contactor on the opposite side.

Contact mechanism and electromagnetic contactor using the same

An electromagnetic contactor has a pair of fixed contacts; a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting with and separating from the pair of fixed contacts; and an electromagnetic unit driving the movable contact. The electromagnetic unit has a magnetic yoke having an open upper part; an upper magnetic yoke cross-linked in the open upper part of the magnetic yoke; a spool having a central opening in which an exciting coil is wound around the spool; a movable plunger movably disposed in the central opening of the spool in an axial direction and having a tip end protruding, the movable plunger urged by a return spring; and an auxiliary yoke forming a magnetic path between the movable plunger and the U-shaped magnetic yoke when the movable plunger is in an open position. The movable plunger is coupled to the movable contact through a coupling shaft.

An electromagnetic contactor has a contact device including a contact housing for housing a pair of fixed contact pieces and a movable contact piece disposed to contact with and separate away from the pair of fixed contact pieces, a pair of arc-extinguishing inner permanent magnets disposed on inner peripheral surfaces of the contact housing, and a pair of arc-extinguishing outer permanent magnets disposed on outer peripheral surfaces of the contact housing at a section facing the arc-extinguishing inner permanent magnets. Magnetic pole surfaces of the arc-extinguishing inner permanent magnets are arranged in a close vicinity of the movable contact piece and are magnetized to have the same polarity facing each other. The arc-extinguishing outer permanent magnets are magnetized in the same direction as the arc-extinguishing inner permanent magnets disposed nearby and coercive force of the arc-extinguishing outer permanent magnets is greater than of that the arc-extinguishing inner permanent magnets.

An electromagnetic contactor has a contact device having a contact housing case housing a pair of fixed contacts and a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts, and an insulating cylinder in a bottomed tubular shape disposed on an inner peripheral surface of the contact housing case to enclose the pair of fixed contacts and the movable contact. The insulating cylinder positions an arc extinguishing permanent magnet for extinguishing an arc generated between the pair of fixed contacts and the movable contact. A magnet housing portion to protect the arc extinguishing permanent magnet from the arc is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the insulating cylinder and faces a side surface of the movable contact. An arc extinguishing space is formed on an outer side of the magnet housing portion in an extending direction of the movable contact.
