There is disclosed a multicylindrical rotary compressor capable of improving an operation efficiency during a small-capacity operation, the compressor comprises a controller as a control unit which adjusts a rotation number of an electromotive element as a driving element and which controls an operation of a power saving mechanism, and the controller operates the power saving mechanism to connect a high-pressure chamber side of a first cylinder to a low-pressure chamber side of a second cylinder during the small-capacity operation of a refrigerant circuit constituted in a rotary compressor (the multicylindrical rotary compressor).

Multicylindrical rotary compressor

A structure and method for fixing an upper cup muffler to an upper bearing portion. The upper bearing portion includes a step portion having an upper, lower and side surfaces. A peripheral edge portion between the upper and side surfaces of the upper bearing portion is declined outwardly to have a slant surface. The upper cup muffler includes a bottom surface and a peripheral side surface lower portion that extends downwardly from the edge portion of the bottom surface. The peripheral side surface lower portion gets across the slant surface of the upper bearing portion and is brought into linear or planar contact with at least one of the outer side surface and the lower surface of the step portion when the bottom surface of the upper cup muffler and the upper surface of the upper bearing portion are fixed to each other.

An object is to avoid generation of a collision sound of a second vane of a compression system comprising a multicylinder rotary compressor being configured to be used by switching of a first operation mode in which both rotary compression elements perform a compression work and a the second operation mode in which the only first rotary compression element substantially performs the compression work. When the second operation mode is switched to the first operation mode, discharge-side pressures of both the rotary compression elements are applied as a back pressure of the second vane, and thereafter an intermediate pressure is applied which is between suction-side and discharge-side pressures of both the rotary compression elements. When the first operation mode is switched to the second operation mode, a valve device interrupts flowing of a refrigerant into a second cylinder, and thereafter suction-side pressures of both the rotary compression elements are applied as the back pressure of the second vane.

Compression system, multicylinder rotary compressor, and refrigeration apparatus using the same

An object of the present invention is to provide a multi-cylinder rotary compressor which can enhance the reliability by improving the compression efficiency/mechanical efficiency. The bearings are fixed on the inner wall of the closed container, the cylinders are fixed to the bearings, and a gap is formed between the respective cylinders and the inner wall of the closed container. The design with the relatively large internal volume of the closed container is possible, and the reliability can be enhanced. Further, improvement in the compression efficiency and the mechanical efficiency can be achieved with the compact multi-cylinder rotary compression element.
