Provided is a magnetorheological fluid having excellent long-term dispersion stability of magnetic particles and a large maximum change of yield stress under magnetic field application conditions. Also provided is a device having excellent long-term stable drivability and mechanism reliability. The magnetorheological fluid contains magnetic particles, resin particles, and a dispersion medium, wherein the proportion constituted by the mass of the magnetic particles relative to the total mass of the magnetorheological fluid is 35 mass % to 95 mass %, the proportion constituted by the mass of the resin particles relative to the total mass of the magnetorheological fluid is 0.3 mass % to 20 mass %, and the average particle diameter of the resin particles is 20 nm to 1,500 nm. This magnetorheological fluid is used in the device.

A method is disclosed for installing a solar cell module, which enables easy installation of a solar cell module on a rack, and also enables a worker to install a solar cell module without climbing on the roof. A solar cell module is installed on a rack mounted on a roof. The solar cell module includes a frame formed of a material containing a resin. The rack includes multiple rails each having a groove, and the grooves of a pair of the rails are disposed to be opposed to each other. The method of this invention comprises the steps of fitting the frame of the solar cell module into the groove such that the solar cell module is retained by the pair of the rails, and fixing the solar cell module to the pair of the rails to prevent the solar cell module from falling out of the grooves.

The back side protective sheet is disposed on a back side of the solar cell module and includes: a first film fixedly attached so as to abut a surface of a filler and containing linear low-density polyethylene having a density greater than or equal to 0.91 g/cmand less than or equal to 0.93 g/cm; and a second film laminated to the first film and disposed in an outermost layer of the back side protective sheet, the second film containing polyvinylidene fluoride and polymethyl methacrylate.

A collector for a secondary battery includes a metal foil having throughholes shaped or arranged to achieve an increased hole area ratio to improve an active material's adhesion thereto. A throughhole in the metal foil has a largest dimension of at least 1.55 mm, and the foil has a hole area ratio of at least 40%, and a thickness of at least 5 &mgr;m and at most 200 &mgr;m. The throughhole has a peripheral shape including two substantially straight sides that extend along lines intersecting with each other on their respective extensions to form an acute angle at a corner of the throughhole. To form the metal foil, a resist film with a predetermined pattern is arranged on a solid foil, and is used as a mask to etch the foil to provide the plurality of throughholes penetrating the foil.

An antenna coil for an IC card includes a base material of a resin film having the thickness of at least 15 &mgr;m and at most 70 &mgr;m, and a circuit pattern layer formed on a surface of the base material, having the thickness of at least 7 &mgr;m and at most 60 &mgr;m formed of an aluminum foil containing aluminum by at least 97.5 mass % and at most 99.7 mass %. On the surface of the resin film base material, an aluminum foil containing aluminum is fixed by using a polyurethane based adhesive layer containing an epoxy resin, a resist ink layer having a prescribed pattern is printed on the foil, the foil is etched using the resist ink layer as a mask to form a circuit pattern layer, and the resist ink layer is removed.

A copying machine including a lower body, an upper body, a damper contractively arranged between the upper body and the lower body, and an adjusting member provided in the upper body is disclosed.
