A fuel cell module comprises: at least one cell stack including a plurality of single fuel cells supplied with a fuel gas and an oxidizing gas to generate power; a sealable housing accommodating the at least one cell stack and forming a power generation chamber inside the housing; a pressure vessel accommodating the housing; and an oxidizing gas supply pipe for supplying the oxidizing gas to the cell stack. At least one pressure equalizing opening is formed in the housing to allow communication between inside and outside of the housing. The at least one pressure equalizing opening includes only one pressure equalizing opening, or a plurality of pressure equalizing openings in which a distance between a pressure equalizing opening in the highest position and a pressure equalizing opening in the lowest position is within 0.1H, where H is a height of the housing.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide fuel cell system capable of stable start-up and method for starting the fuel cell system. Fuel cell system includes SOFC, a turbocharger, oxidizing gas supply line, a control valve, oxidizing gas blow line, start-up air line for supplying the start-up air to the oxidizing gas supply line with a blower, and a control unit that, in state in which the control valve is closed and the blow valve is opened to supply the start-up air to the oxidizing gas supply line with the blower when the turbocharger is started, decreases the opening of the blow valve and, after the timing at which the opening of the blow valve starts to decrease, increases the opening of the control valve and then stops the supply of the starting air.

Fuel cell system and method for starting same

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: fuel cell system that can further stabilize an operation of the system; and control method thereof. Fuel cell system comprises: fuel cell; a turbocharger; oxidizing gas supply line that supplies, to cathode, oxidizing gas compressed by a compressor; a heat exchanger that heats the oxidizing gas of the oxidizing gas supply line by means of exhaust gas discharged from a turbine, and flows the exhaust gas to combustion exhaust gas line; bypass lines each having one end connected to the upstream side of the heat exchanger in the oxidizing gas supply line and bypassing the oxidizing gas; flow rate regulating valves provided in the bypass lines; and a control unit that controls the flow rate regulating valves on the basis of the ambient air temperature, and controls the bypass flow rate of the oxidizing gas.
