A core part includes plural plates stacked with a gap therebetween so as to form plural refrigerant passages and plural cooling water passages. The refrigerant passages are communicated with each other in a stacking direction of the plates by a refrigerant inlet tank section and a refrigerant outlet tank section distanced from each other. A refrigerant inlet and a refrigerant outlet communicate with the refrigerant inlet tank section and the refrigerant outlet tank section, respectively, and are provided at one end of the core part in the stacking direction. The refrigerant inlet and the refrigerant inlet tank section are communicated with each other by a refrigerant inlet passage. A distance between a center of the refrigerant outlet tank section and a center of the refrigerant outlet is shorter than a distance between a center of the refrigerant inlet tank section and a center of the refrigerant inlet.

Heat exchanger

An inner fin is an offset fin having a wavy cross-section that is perpendicular to an oil flowing direction, and has a louver that is partially cut and bent in a direction parallel with the oil flowing direction. The wavy cross-section is defined by alternately placing first-side convex parts and second-side convex parts. A fin height fh is defined by a distance from the first-side convex part to the second-side convex part in the cross-section. An area surrounded by the inner fin, a tube, and the first-side or second-side convex parts located adjacent with each other on the same side in the cross-section is converted into a corresponding circle having a diameter de. When a relationship of X=de/fhis defined, the diameter of the corresponding circle and the fin height respectively have dimensions that satisfy a relationship of 0.5&#x2266;X&#x2266;1.0.

Oil cooler with inner fin

A heat exchanger includes tubes and a tank. The tubes extend in a first direction, and are stacked in a second direction. The tank has a tube insertion plate part, and is arranged at an end portion of the tubes. The tube insertion plate part has tube holes in which the tubes are inserted, and ribs extending in a third direction that is approximately perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction. The tube hole has end portions in the third direction. The rib are arranged to overlap with the end portion of the tube hole in the second direction, and to provide a deformable part to be deformable in the first direction. The deformable part is located in the tube insertion plate part outside of the ribs in the third direction.

A heat exchanger comprises: flat tubes laminated on each other, an external fluid flowing in a space formed between the flat tubes arranged adjacent to each other; and fins interposed between the flat tubes, the fins being formed into a protruding and recessing shape having a flat plate portion joined to an outer wall face of the tube when viewed in the flow direction of the external fluid and having a vertical plate portion crossing the flat plate portion, wherein heat is exchanged between the external fluid and the internal fluid flowing in the tubes, the flat plate portion including protruding portions arranged so the protruding portions is inclined in the flow direction of the external fluid, protrusions of the protruding portions being increased toward the downstream side of the external fluid, the vertical plate portion being formed so it meanders in the flow direction of the external fluid.

A heat exchanger having a plurality of stacked tubes () and tanks () formed of resin and coupled to the longitudinal ends of the tubes (), wherein the cooling liquid flowing in a fuel-cell () is cooled by being passed through the tubes () formed of double layers including a high heat conductivity resin portion () and an insulative resin portion ().

A cooling apparatus includes a refrigerant tank having a surface to which heating devices are attached and containing liquid refrigerant which is boiled and evaporated by heat transferred from the heating devices, and a radiator for radiating the heat of the boiled and vaporized refrigerant. The radiator has an inflow return chamber provided with a small-diameter opening having a diameter smaller than that of the inflow return chamber. The liquid refrigerant of the gas-liquid mixed refrigerant is dammed by the small-diameter opening of the inflow return chamber and the dammed liquid refrigerant is returned through a return passage to the refrigerant tank. Since the liquid refrigerant contained in the gas-liquid mixed refrigerant is suppressed from flowing by means of the small-diameter opening, the gaseous refrigerant can transfer heat directly to the walls of the radiating passages, so that the deterioration of the radiating performance can be prevented.

Cooling apparatus boiling and condensing refrigerant

This cooling apparatus can improve a radiation performance by increasing the boiling area and make it difficult to cause the burnout on boiling faces by filling the boiling faces with a refrigerant necessary for the boiling. In refrigerant chambers for reserving a refrigerant, there are inserted corrugated fins for increasing the boiling area. These corrugated fins are composed of lower corrugated fins arranged to correspond to the lower sides of the boiling faces for receiving the heat of a heating body, and upper corrugated fins arranged to correspond to the upper sides of the boiling faces, and these lower and upper corrugated fins and are individually held in thermal contact with the boiling faces of the refrigerant chambers. The lower corrugated fins and the upper corrugated fins are given a common fin pitch P and are individually inserted vertically in the individual refrigerant chambers to define the individual passages further into a plurality of small passage portions. However, the lower corrugated fins and the upper corrugated fins are inserted such that their crests and valleys are staggered from each other in the transverse direction of the refrigerant chambers.

A boiling cooler has a heat exchange part in which refrigerant vapor performs heat exchange with cooling water. The refrigerant vapor is produced from liquid refrigerant that is boiled and gasified by heat transferred from a heating element. In this boiling cooler, the refrigerant vapor can be cooled by cooling water having a thermal conductivity larger than that of air.

A cooling apparatus boiling and condensing refrigerant is constructed to have a stacked construction by stacking a plurality of pressed members and comprises a refrigerant tank portion, a heat exchanging portion and a refrigerant diffusing portion. First openings for passing refrigerant and second openings for passing cooling water are formed in the pressed members used for the heat exchanging portion and the first openings communicate with internal spaces formed in the refrigerant tank portion and the refrigerant diffusing portion. According to the construction, as the cooling apparatus has the stacked construction, tubes and fins that constitute a conventional heat dissipating portion can be eliminated.

A first intermediate plate C adjacent to a heat receiving plate A and a second intermediate plate D adjacent to the first intermediate plate C are provided so that the slit width of the openings (first opening ) in the first intermediate plate C is wider than that (second opening ) in the second intermediate plate D. In this way, when the first intermediate plate C and the second intermediate D are stacked, a tunnel structure is formed in which the opening dimension L (the opening dimension of the second openings ) of the communicating sections through which the first openings and the second openings communicate with each other is smaller than the length L (the opening dimension of the first openings ) of the tunnel portions (L >L ). Therefore, a heat-generating member with large density of heat generation can be effectively cooled.

Cooling apparatus boiling and condensing refrigerant with improved tunnel structure

A boiling and cooling apparatus is provided which has a refrigerant tank for maintaining a liquid refrigerant for boiling when it receives heat from a heating body, a radiator which receives refrigerant vapor boiled in the refrigerant tank. The radiator cools refrigerant vapor to form the liquid refrigerant by exchanging heat with an external fluid. The radiator includes a first passage for receiving the refrigerant vapor and a second passage for returning condensed liquid to the refrigerant tank. The radiator has an upper space which provides communication between the first passage and the second passage, whereby the refrigerant vapor is guided to flow preferentially into the first passage.

Boiling and cooling apparatus

A cooling device includes a boiling unit and a condensing unit. A diffusion plate having a plurality of holes is formed into a thin-long shape, and is disposed in an upper tank of the condensing unit at an approximate center in an up-down direction so that an inner space of the upper tank of the condensing unit is divided into upper and lower parts in the up-down direction. Each hole opened in the diffusion plate has an opening area smaller than a sectional surface area of an introduction port of a gas-refrigerant introduction pipe, opened in the upper tank of the condensing unit. Thus, gas refrigerant flowing into the upper tank of the condensing unit through the gas-refrigerant introduction pipe is diffused to all the upper part of the upper tank along the surface of the diffusion plate while passing through the holes of the diffusion plate downwardly. As a result, an entire area of the condensing unit can be effectively used, and heat-radiating performance of refrigerant in the condensing unit can be improved.

A cross-flow fan is provided in which air movement is increased without increasing the power of the motor. Opening portions for ventilation are bored wall surfaces forming a stabilizer in the casing of a cooling fan. These bores are at positions separated from the tongue portion by predetermined distances. When a bladed wheel is rotated by a motor, air is sucked from the front side of a core portion through the core portion and into the inside of the casing. The cooling fan generates, in the inside of the casing, a simple flow passing through the bladed wheel to a discharge port. This flow has a circulation flow (swirl) circulating within the bladed wheel.
